Review The Cabin - Surrey

This place was really good!!!!! The atmosphere is very relaxed and welcoming, in a rustic way. The staff is amazing, Keith was our waiter, they go above and beyond to help you. A member of our table wasn't feeling well, Keith offered a concoction of a drink to help ease their stomach and it worked like a charm. The food was amazing, we all agreed it was a little on the salty side, but still very enjoyable. This restaurant is located close to the beach, but not too close, parking can get pretty limited so try to show up earlier as parking can be sparse at times, this is a beach location after all. Again the staff here were amazing, great experience, great food and great atmosphere. I would highly recommend this restaurant!!!

Cozy spot tucked away in Crescent Beach. Just as the name implies, it has a cabin vibe inside. We had made a reservation for dinner and were seated promptly. The menu has a good selection of cocktails, appetizers, and mains. We both went for a steak. It was cooked well and everything seemed fresh. Definitely recommend.

I was looking for a good steak restaurant and decided to try this spot in crescent beach area out. I spent a good dinner meal time here last week. Really enjoyed the flat iron steak (medium rare with Chicago grilled outside). The strawberry cheesecake lighted my heart too. Thank you for the service, I’ll be back for seafood next time!

I've been to the cabin several times over the past 3-4 years and the food has been consistently good. I really enjoy the ambiance of the restaurant itself. It is intimate and cozy. They have 2 menus a lunch menu and a dinner menu with more options. From the dinner menu I highly recommend their steamed mussels 10/10, and garlic prawn appetizer, their seafood cioppino hotpot, stuffed chicken and beef short ribs. Crème brûlée for dessert is also a recommendation. From their lunch menu the halibut burger is my go to (so fresh) with a side of clam chowder. Pictured below is the calamari (also good), the halibut burger with a side of clam chowder.

This was a wonderful end to our trip to Vancouver. We wanted to get out of the city but were in the mood for seafood and found this gem.💎 Nestled in a quiet little neighborhood in Surrey, we found The Cabin restaurant. The staff was amazing, very accommodating, very inviting, from the very beginning, by inviting us in to warm ourselves by the lovely, antique looking Rayburn stove that had a nice wood burning fire goingnk. We asked for their recommendations and the first thing mentioned was Maple chili cauliflower wings and clam chowder. Both were amazing and I'm not just saying that! They truly will make you stop and appreciate how good they are!!! We look forward to coming back and experiencing this wonderful restaurant again on our next trip to B.C. My name is Brian James and I was here Brianjameswashere.com

Rustic and quiet place for a lunch. Creative menu and a good selection of draft beers. Refreshing that they don't presumptuously pre-fill the suggested tip at 15% like so many restaurants do.

As a lover of beautiful designs and exceptional food. I was truly impressed with this establishment. Their decor was very tasteful, the culinary selection was absolutely amazing from both a taste and price perspective. The entire ambience was very laid back sophisticated beach vibe and the service offered was top notch. This place is a true gem and will be our go to restaurant when we visit from white rock. Kudos to you all.

The cauliflower was one of the best I've had. Small suggestion, swapping the dipping sauce for a Thai chili sauce will make it taste even better !

Dinner Sat Jan 20th at The Cabin Crescent Beach was very poor. Ordered the lobster ravioli from the dine out menu. My plate was floating in apple brandy sauce. Looked like soup not dinner. Should have returned to kitchen as was not edible & price $40. Very disappointed as have had good meals in the past. In addition, the restaurant was hot and uncomfortable for sitting. We felt rushed by the waitress. When advised the meal was not up to usual standards not compensated for poor dish. Told most customers like more sauce. Poor quality food, high prices and poor service. Will not be returning.

I have eaten at The Cabin more times than any other restaurant that I can remember. My elderly parents live just up the hill and it's a very close place to have a nice dinner with them all year round. In the summer wemake reservations. We have never been disappointed by a meal or the service it's a great place to enjoy wonderful food. Between us and the others we have brought there, I think we have sampled pretty much everything on the menu. The beef ribs are amazingly tender, the Garden Vegetable Penne delish, all the fish dishes are very fresh and well prepared. I usually skip the rice and sub mashed potatoes because they are so good! Don't miss the "twofer" dessert to share! Nice wine selection also.

Very disappointed. We went tonight for my Grandmas Birthday dinner I made the reservations 3 1/2 weeks in advanced for 7 people. Having not been there before I didn’t know to request a window seat or how the restaurant was set up, they stuck us at the very back with a table big enough for only 6 people, barely and stuck a chair at the end there was barely enough room to put a plate there. Facing the chair on the end there was small window and the sun was shining through into the persons face the whole time so they couldn’t see. When mentioned to the staff and asked to move they didn’t seem to care and put no effort into finding a solution. The waitress couldn’t remember what food we ordered for our bills and had to come back twice to ask, she was pretty snobby throughout the dinner as well. Would not recommend going here especially for a special dinner.

We went to The Cabin for the first time for a Valentines Dinner with another couple. We had a reservation and they seated us at a lovely little table in the corner. I ordered a Sangria and it was the best Sangria I've ever had. We had a prawn noodle appetizer that we are all still talking about. I had the surf n turf special, my husband had the ribs, our friends had a steak and Ahi Tuna. Everyone loved their meal. Steaks were cooked perfectly. We had dessert -- the Panna Cotta was excellent and special coffees. Prices were reasonable for the quality and portions were generous. Our server timed everything beautifully which is amazing considering they had a full house. Also, I'm Celiac and there were quite a few options on the menu for me. They were obviously careful because I wasn't sick after either. We would definitely go back again! Fabulous ambience. Great service. Amazing food.

Fantastic food and drink, the garlic prawns and huckleberry mojito are perfect way to beat the heat!

Food quality was good, service was terrible. We came with a large group of friends for a birthday party. We were told in our first interaction with their staff that there was a time limit to our stay and we needed to order soon. We asked the waiter if we could just order drinks as we had eaten beforehand and desert. We were told that would not be the case and we had to order food from their set menu. I have never been told at a restaurant that I have to order a certain amount of food. This is a new experience for me, it was not enjoyable. Clearly a miscommunication between parties involved. I would not return to the restaurant in the future. Cabin employees you should have met our needs and provided us with an experience we could have enjoyed. Instead of making a quick buck and tarnishing your reputation.

I do not recommend booking parties at this restaurant. #1) The waitress hurried us to make selections for our meals; giving us snirky comments like "You have to be out of here by 7:00pm". #2) With the set menu we had to order something even if we did not feel like eating. We said we were not hungry and did not want food, but were told we would still get charged $50/person. (We took it as take out). I really enjoy a cold steak for $50... #3) We were never asked if we wanted to be re-filled for our water or drinks. #4) It was not enjoyable for us; so if you are booking a party are you willing to go there knowing that some of your guests can have an unenjoyable experience like we did? Why choose this location for your party?

We went here because of other reservations falling through, and we're so glad we did! The food was phenomenal and loved the atmosphere. Service was good. We'll be back for sure! We had for appies- ahi poke, Caesar salad, and for mains- short ribs and striploin with crab leg special. Perfect for an intimate meal, wouldn't recommend bringing kids.

Absolutely amazing food; they took restaurant basics and made them extraordinary. I will never eat a spicy chicken bite appetizer or chicken club with yam fries again and not compare to The Cabin's version. Excellent meal.
