TAP is a hidden gem!!!The food is always fantastic. The service is always fantastic and of course, the wine is always fantastic. Highly recommend going for lunch or dinner.
Well balanced flavor and excellent presentation. Would compete with the best restaurants I have dined in. Chef made sure we were happy with the meal and staff provided great service.
Had dinner for the first time at tap and it was AMAZING!!! The food was 5 star and the service was first class. The lobster bisque, the gnocchi, the charcuterie platter...the alasc tart. Simply delish! We loved everything! The tasting menu is what first caught our eye but once inside we wanted to try everything. Will def be back for more!! Keep up the great work and to the chefs, thank you
We took a friend for lunch and as always had a fabulous meal. I decided to have the tenderloin steak trio. It was a perfect size for lunch and came with a tasty pasta and salad. My husband had the special pork and pork belly sandwich and the lobster bisque as his side and he LOVED it! Our guest picked the gnocchi and said it was simply delicious!
We love Tap because while always getting great meals the service is superb to and to the reason this is our favourite "go to" place. Thanks Chef Alistair....best sommelier in BC!!
This is a one of a kind experience! From the incredible warmth and ambience to the culinary masterpieces, wine expertise and the personal attention to detail - Tap is a must for lunch, dinner or any occasion. Tap's food is complimented by one of the best teams in the industry. The service was outstanding and I was so impressed!
We (10 of us!) enjoyed the most wonderful evening last night at Tap, where we experienced an Italian wine & dinner pairing. Both the food menu and the wine accompaniments were stellar!
Everyone at our table raved about the thoroughly delicious meal, (5 courses!) the presentation, the sommelier's knowledge of the Masi wines that were featured, and the laughter and good company that was enjoyed throughout the evening.
Thank you to Alistair and your outstanding team that makes such a successful event possible!

La crème de la crème !
A gastronomic experience at 20 minutes from my house... wonderful !!!
Warm and professional service and passionate cooks ! I highly recommend this place for lover of good food and wine !
Tap was a wonderful find for us. The food and service were spectacular. The gnocchi is unreal, the best I have had. My wife and I split the turkey sandwich and a Caprese salad and the warm tomatoes were mouthwatering. We live near Seattle and this might be worthy of another road trip!
Our experience at Tap was wonderful! The ambiance was perfect for our date night! The music, the lighting, the attention to detail. Did I mention the the amazing culinary delights we both thoroughly enjoyed!! From our applies, to the wine selection to our entrees. Alistair you and your staff gave us a wonderful evening!! Thank you!!
The service is excellent and the food is beautifully presented and full of flavour. The restaurant is a dimly lit, elegantly understated atmosphere. I have gone there with my husband and with my coworkers (in their private dining room) and each time was a great experience.
Very impressed with everything! The food was outstanding! Would definitely recommend Tap Restaurant for a special night out
We made our reservation for 7PM on a weeknight and there were only a handful of tables occupied during our visit. We were immediately welcomed by most of the staff, including the chef as we walked through the doors and were sat by a beautiful, warm fireplace to enjoy our meal. The dining area is small and cozy with tasteful modern decor which created a warm intimate dining experience. It also features an open kitchen concept so you can watch the cooks work their magic.
We began our meal with the parmesan risotto with white truffle oil. During our drive to the restaurant, I was looking over the menu and had my heart set on this as a starter. I’m incredibly glad we did. The risotto was every bit as creamy as you’d want a risotto to be, cooked perfectly, piping hot with freshly grated Parmesan cheese on top. We opted for some fresh pepper on top as well. I’d been craving a good risotto for a while, and this sealed the deal. It was also a perfect portion for sharing.
An interesting section on their menu is the puff pastry tartes flambees. We settled on the Alsace puff pastry with double smoked bacon, caramelized onion and Gruyere cheese. Although not flambeed, the puff pastry was incredible – unlike any puff pastry I’ve had. It was warm, flaky, indulgent, drizzled with a balsamic reduction, a delicious white sauce and topped with shallots. Another great dish to share.
My main of choice was the Rossdown Farms chicken with rosemary and thyme veloute, wild rice and a side of kale, carrots and green beans. The chicken was incredibly juicy, hot with a perfectly crispy skin. The veloute worked perfectly with the rice and vegetables. The carrots were incredible and the kale was to die for. I even stole some from my partners plate. The vegetables were clearly fresh and the beans had a wonderful crunch.
After our two starters, the portioning of this dish was perfect.
My partner had the beef tenderloin with an olive oil herb potato pave and same delicious vegetables that eventually made their way to my plate too. My boyfriend is great at sharing! The beef was beautifully cooked, tender and succulent with prominent flavours and beautifully seasoned. I was fortunate enough to grab a bite and the meat simply melted in my mouth. I’d never had potato pave before and to my delight it was seared in butter and had the perfect balance of crisp edges and a soft potato center. Additionally, flavours of thyme and rosemary elevated this dish wonderfully.
We come to Tap every year during Christmas. It's such a treat to come here! The ingredients are fresh, local and of high quality. If there's one thing you need to try, it's the truffle risotto. GET IT!!
Amazing food. Knowledgable servers. The wine list is exceptional with many new and exciting off list options. Stunning plates, west coast style with a French influence. Will return for sure !
Fantastic!. I have never been disappointed at Tap. We don't go often... but still! The food is meticulously prepared, thoughtfully flavoured and it shows. Excellent service, great atmosphere and WOW the desserts!!!!!!!!!! You MUST try this spot!
Great service and atmosphere. The food was very flavorful and fresh ! A definite return visit is in order !
Out of the way bit worth it!. Tried tap on sunday night with a friend, it was a nice change from the regular dinner spots! small but good menu, medium-sized wine list. shared the baked brie and seared scallop, the scallop was gigantic, and cooked perfectly! then had the rib-eye feature for the evening with duck-fat roasted potato, my guest had the duck. both were outstanding. nice to see a small neighbourhood restaurant trying imaginative food.
Too good to be true.. This is a small quaint restaurant with fantastic food and wine and exceptional service.
The chef is excellent and all the choices are fresh and the menu is always changing.
Why go to the city when you can have great fine dinning close to home.
