Review Okinawa Sushi - Sudbury

I'm out for dinner at this place, and we got dessert and friends got some deep fried bananas. So we get it and my friend tries to bite into one and is suddenly "way better than I thought, it has a good crunch" thinking that isn't right I try a taste and I realize its chicken. Turns out they gave us a plate of bananas and a chocolate-covered chicken wing. But my friend was right, it was delicious, we all got one to-go. One small mistake got them 4 life-long customers. sushi was mid lol.

Wonderful service 👏, atmosphere was great with lots room to accommodate and rolls were pretty decent 👌 and delicious batter on tempura and chinese selection was delicious. This place is perfect for a quick date or work meeting 😀 we'll be back (straight up the back room is something to see 👀)

Usually this restaurant does a great job but my last visit the food was simply disappointing. The miso soup was cold and flavourless, the calamari wrap was noticeably absent of calamari, and the soya sauce tasted like it had been watered down with vinegar. The service was still great though (warm, friendly, and inviting) and the addition of a faux cherry tree looks great. I will chalk it up to a bad day... I hope.

I really enjoyed this sushi place. As a first timer it was an enjoyable visit. New covid measures for ordering and seating made our visit feel safe. The food was prepared with expertise and served exceptionally well. Felt like a higher class of service and dining. Recommend this place for sure.

My favourite place for sushi; never had a bad experience here and I love the dark-themed decor.

My 1st visit to Okinawa Sushi was just after the reopening of restaurant eat-in during Step 3 of ontario's corona defense plan. Figuring it would be extremely busy, my friends and I were prepared to wait. After leaving our names we were givrn a buzzer and told the wait time would be roughly an hour and a half. We opted to leave our phone number to be called when our table was ready. The wait time ended up being less than that and we were quite promptly seated. The restaurant features rather simple but modernized design and roomy comfortable booths. Though the restaurant was quite busy we seemed to get the majority of our food within a normal time frame. Would definitely recommend everyone to give Okinawa a try!

I have ordered from this restaurant around 30-40 times. I would say about 50% of the time the salmon is poor quality, and the rest of the food is less than ideal quality. I feel like there are much better sushi establishments in the area that provide higher quality for same or similar price.
