I loved the patio lantern drink, so that's Highly recommend. Also as I am vegetarian I had ordered pizza which was the best, the crust the taste everything was perfect. Loved it. Good service and reasonable price.

Love having some “healthier” options for take out. Good flavour in the miso bowl and enjoyed all the veggies/toppings. The spicy beans were so good! Wish the portion was larger, I could’ve eaten these all day!

We had late lunch today at the Laughing Buddha and we had such a pleasant experience. The patio layout was pretty, conferring a bright and inviting atmosphere punctuated by greenery. The staff was welcoming and the food didn’t disappoint. We got the Miso and the Buddha Bowls as main course: both colourful, vibrant, delicious and well presented. We had plenty of choice for protein and opted for tempeh and chicken. My meat lover partner regretted not taking the tempeh too after tasting it. It was savoury and tender. Drinks were equally tasty and refreshing, the touch of jalapeño elevated the pink lemonade. The mint and lime faux-mojito was exquisite, enhanced with aromatic mint leaves. We ordered “the cool beans” as appetizer and the carrot cake as dessert. The cake was moist with creamy frosting and the beans were perfectly crisp on the outside and tender bright green on the inside.

I’ve calmed down from my initial desire to give this place a one star. We went the other night, was given a front patio table quickly and the proceeded to wait for 20 minutes. We finally gave up waiting and my other half went up and asked where our server was. They said that they forgot to assign a waitress to the front patio. Let that sink in. They forgot to assign a waitress to the front patio. The one you walk through when you are coming into the restaurant, the one that every waitress walked through to get to their side patio and is clearly visible from the hostess desk. Once we had a waitress they clearly felt bad because we had every person on staff asking every 5 minutes if we needed anything. That’s the only reason I brought it up from one star. Ok now that my rant is over, the nachos were ok, but they literally only have sour cream on the menu for them and not salsa. Kinda backwards in my mind when it comes to what is shelf stable for longer but what do I know. So the nachos are kinda boring. Beer is good and they have a solid selection on tap and in bottle. Place is kinda pricy given the fare and this is coming from someone used to Toronto prices. If you’re looking to have a drink of something different it’s probably worth it but I wouldn’t go for the food.

Our server was slow and lacked knowledge about their craft beer selection (which I was hoping would have a bit more variety, knowing how many incredible Ontario beers are out there), but my dish was delicious, and the atmosphere was, always fantastic. * A note for seniors - it gets very loud in there, and often the music is just as loud as all the conversations around you. If you struggle with hearing in large settings, it might not be the optimal restaurant for you.

I went here for lunch which was alright. I’m sure I’d give it a higher rating if I came here for drinks. Got their Chicken Nova sandwich & Miso bowl and they were decent. Overall the place is pretty mid (bonus points for a neat patio set up)

AMAZING dinner, amazing drinks! This place is fantastic and I will definitely go again! Loved it here. I ordered the dill pickle pizza the first time and a bowl with falafel the second time, omg delicious. 10/10 would recommend.

I don't need to say anything more than pickle pizza. Run, don't walk! I substituted the meat (salami and bacon) for spicy artichoke and mushrooms - it was delicious

Maybe the b-team was on yesterday. Wasn't busy at all for lunch. We sat in the side patio area for about ten minutes and nobody brought us menus, asked for drink orders, or acknowledged us (even though staff seated us there). We moved inside, where we got instant service from a friendly waitress. The music was really annoying (local doesn't always mean it's good). Placed our order and everything arrived promptly, except condiments which took two extra requests to receive (ketchup for fries is kind of a given). The chicken in the chicken club tasted like burnt plastic, but I was hungry, so I ate it anyway. The hummus was great. The fries, though, in our son's poutine, and with my sandwich (every single one of them) were like fossils... So dry I actually took a few and crumbled them into powder. Those two items were removed from the bill (which I wasn't expecting and didn't request – but which was a nice gesture). Overall an ok experience. Left hungry. Not good enough to be worth returning.

We were visiting Sudbury due to unfortunate circumstances and I went two days in a row to Laughing Buddha and had the best experiences both times. On Monday night the bar staff was incredibly accommodating and let my friend and I stay past close while they cleaned up and the second night I brought my sister, who was initially skeptical but ended up obsessed over the place by the end of the night. My sister ordered the Taco Pizza, and it was is easily the best pizza I've ever had and I ordered the Grilled Veggie Sandwich.... which I wish I could have every day for the rest of my life. Amazing beer choice, incredible staff, great food. I can't speak more highly of the place!! Can't wait to visit again when were back in July!!!

Excellent gluten-free pizza! Delicious. I had the Buddha Pizza on gluten-free dough. Lots of gluten-free selection. Knowledgeable and attentive staff.

Best patio restaurant in Sudbury . The staff are warm and friendly. The music was easy listening and not to loud. The beer was cold and food was fantastic

I like the food a lot, but unfortunately havent been there for some time. A group of friends and I normally go there as a place to get together and catch up and was told that there was a new menu and really really hope that you guys bring back the pizza called "chau chau chicon"? Something like that with the spicy eggplant. That pizza was always beautifully made! It will be forever missed! also Casears are always great, scratch that the alcohol selection is beautiful too!

The menu is packed with an interesting and original selection of plates. The food was delicious and it and the cold beer were served rapidly. The ambiance was fantastic. The music and art - paintings exposed throughout the restarant, beautiful tables, buddas, etc. - were like the cherry on top.

Living in the GTA, I've been spoiled with a variety of great casual restaurants. This place didn't disappoint, and was comparable. Especially impressive was the wide variety of vegetarian options for my wife. We'll come back when visiting Sudbury. Well done Laughing Buddha!

Was seated and served our drinks. My husband was looked over and had to practically yell his order to her as she was walking away. We had our two young kids with us. We were able to place a quick order then waited....and waited...and waited. No server checking in. After 45minutes of no check ins or food, we walked out. Horrible service. Nothing for kids on the menu. Never again.

Went on a Saturday afternoon located downtown with lots of parking. When you walk in its right into the bar area which is very cozy, you walk down and turn right into a bigger dining area.Lots of choices for a cold beverage, small but eclectic menu that has many different pizzas on it.The service was good and the server was very helpful, food came out quickly and hot.I would recommend this restaurant for something a little different.

Buddha is always a good place for a nice evening with friends. They have a great selection of brews, and I was even able to take home one of the bottles to add to my collection of different beers from around the world. It's a gem of the downtown core. I will return for sure.

Havent had the chance to come back since university in 2005 ... always loved the chickpea salad and sandwiches! We had lunch on the patio as i remember it. Great food!

Once again I was not disappointed with the service, the atmosphere or the food. Especially the food!!! Omg cheeseburger pizza is life and I am so happy I tried it tonight. Had a great time with my friends and even though it was busy busy busy we still managed to have a great time!! Did I mention the cheeseburger pizza??? You really need to try it.

Food was delicious! Our server was attentive. Restaurant was conveniently located and parking was not an issue for a Saturday evening. My only issue was that it was quite loud with all the people but that also told me we came to a good place. I'm definitely going again but maybe not on a Saturday night
