Review Limani At Fifty Taverna - Stoney Creek

Limani is a good restaurant in Winona that I would go to again. The souvlaki is fantastic both chicken and pork. The Gyro is decent but seems to be the same pre-made mixture you can get anywhere. It’s no way near as good or authentic as IOS on Upper James. The extremely small pita pieces are laughable - might was well not include them. The Greek salad is great. The service is very good but they do need more staff. We were seated well before others but served much later. Some feedback. The Tirokafteri we had may have been enough salt for a human to digest for 4 days. It was horrific. The upgrades on the sides are insanely overpriced. Greek fries upgrade is close to $6.00 and it’s just more salty feta, oil and some pre-made dressing. Stay way. At $6.00 you can also upgrade to a Caesar salad. Considering the cost and I understand inflation this is insane. None of the side upgrades are really “upgrades”. They should just be substitutes except for the meats. A slight charge perhaps but not like this. It’s gauging customers. The grilled calamari dinner is an acquired taste. Additionally their tips start at a base of 18% instead of 15%. You have to hit custom if anything. We usually tip well but come on get real. This is not a rocket science, fine dining establishment. If you want locals to go than consider your prices. You can see by my history I visit expensive places but this is just a rip off for what you get. Additionally they have two google restaurants listed under Limani. Both point to the same site and phone number. Also same address. They need to fix this. Think of it this way. If they were more fair (again fair not cheap) we’d go here once a month. Instead it’s perhaps twice a year. I’d rather travel to IOS for example or even Sotiris in Burlington for a better deal. Those two restaurants are actually above this one but far better value. Sotiris is actually more expensive but again better value.

If there were to be a restaurant at the marina, there would be none more fitting than Limani! Although it was busy and they seemed short on staff, they worked very hard to deliver exceptional service. We had lunch on a Saturday and the server really made us feel like valued customers. They have a good selection of drinks and beers that are perfect for a hot summer day. All the food was delicious and I would recommend the grilled calamari for a perfectly seasoned, moist, and incredibly tender squid. Pizzas were in big portions and the salads were very authentic and quick to finish. I look forward to my next visit here when we visit the boat again!

We arrived for our 7:30 reservations and were seated promptly by the hostess. The waiter, Stefan , arrived shortly after with our menus and water for the table. We decided to order sooner than later as we were told by the hostess that it would be a 45 min - 1 hour wait for our food to arrive. After receiving our drinks we were surprised to see that our food had arrived much sooner than anticipated , the lamb I had was cooked medium and delicious and all the sides as well. The platters were all a good portion size. Our waiter was polite, courteous and patient with all six of us in our party. Beautiful view of Fifty Point Marina too ! Next time I will have to try the pizza. I would recommend LIMANI for anyone looking for good food and reasonable prices with a wonderful view.

I recently held a baby shower at Limani at Fifty. From the initial meeting to plan with Maria right through to the day of the event everything ran smoothly. I valued all the guidance and experience that Maria and her husband George offered to make this an extremely successful event. They were always accessible to answer any questions. We were able to decorate the room to achieve the vision we had in mind. The food was excellent and the guests kept remarking on how much they enjoyed it and were impressed with the wonderful selection. The servers were attentive and made sure the afternoon ran smoothly! I was extremely impressed with how seamlessly the event ran and would highly recommend this venue for a special event.

My favourite go to on a hot summer day. Delicious food, fantastic service and an amazing view sitting out on their patio. I just had my daughter’s bridal shower there and I couldn’t have asked for anything more. Maria and George took such care of every detail and the event was loved by everyone who attended. Our server Katherine did a fantastic job and even made sure the little ones were well taken care off. I have been to Limani many times over the years and have never been disappointed.

The ambiance is amazing especially if you get a view of the marina. It is nice being on the second level. I am certain any seat allows you to enjoy an open air experience. The food was fast, fresh, hot and delicious. The beverages were perfectly chilled. The staff were friendly and ensured we were enjoying our meal. Pay for parking as you enter and the cost will be taken directly off of your bill. Reservations should be considered as the season warms up.

Such an amazing experience! The food was absolutely delicious, try the flaming cheese if you go. It's so incredible. Stefan served us and he was very attentive and recommended the chicken souvlaki platter, it was to die for! Huge portions too, I have enough food for next day leftovers! George and Maria do an amazing job at managing this place, the view is so gorgeous too. Amazing try on a Friday night! Highly recommend.

This will be from now on our favourite place to spend Sunday’s with our family. They made us feel so welcomed and relaxed it felt like we were home. We spent all day today here from lunch to dinner. Maria the owner is AWESOME as well all the servers…especially Catherine was AMAZING! The Italian music was real 60s, 70s, 80s…I couldn’t stop singing. If you are looking to relax by a marina with great food I highly recommend anyone to stop on this magic spot..
