I was missing this for a very long time! Food is amazing ( tonight I had Bosnian Chevapi), space is cozy and welcome and owner Eldin (LD) and his lovely wife are so open, and friendly and funny. This is the beginning of many visits to come. Have to try pies and filled cabbage and burger and.....it is a very long list. I sincerely recommend!!!!!

I haven't had cevapi since I lived on the mainland. Saw the CBC story saying BK was up and running and so I was there waiting for the doors to open this morning. Balkan food in general, and the Bosnian variety in particular, is so delicious if you love great meat. Check it out - and I'm obsessed with music from there. Give Dino Merlin and Hari Varesanovic's Da bog da a listen while you eat to really get in the mood, haha. :D

The lunch I had at the Balkan Kitchen today had to be one of the most delicious meals I've had in St. John's. I enjoyed a spinach and feta Balkan Pie and possibly the tastiest chocolate dessert ever (didn't catch the name of this one but it had just come out of the oven 😍). Can't wait to come back and introduce more friends and family to this gem in our neighbourhood!

Finally made it out to the Balkan Kitchen today. My husband has been talking about the cheese pie he had in Bosnia 20 yrs ago and he was totally impressed with the cheese pie he had today. Food was fresh and service was amazing we will definitely return for another meal.

My wife and I ate there for a change of pace from fast food, and we weren't disappointed. Great tasting food, friendly service and we left with our bellies full. We will definitely be back!!!

We enjoyed our meals. I had meat pie and hubby had sausages. It's nice to have the chance to try dishes from other countries. Apparently, they sometimes have live entertainment on Saturday nights....looking forward to that.

Juicy meat & Warm chewy hand made bread bun! I miss the salsa on the side that they recently replaced with Kimchi! Other than that great authentic meal!πŸ™ŒπŸ»

Great atmosphere and one of the kids plays a mean game of foosball. Made me want to watch football and learn BCMS. Delicious food and the bread they use for the sausage dish is as good as my late grandma's.

This place is awesome. Food is affordable and delicious. Each menu item is a meal! We made the mistake of ordering 4 items as we thought they were appetizers because of the price. Oh well enjoyed 2 extra take home meals. The pies are amazing! Definitely a hidden gem.

Tried this family-run restaurant last night and it was delicious! They can cater to different food restrictions like vegan or gluten-free if you call a day ahead. They have games and books and host open mic nights. The owner was hilarious and very friendly! We will be back again soon πŸ˜€πŸ‘

Their Balkan burger is so tender and tasty on its own, but we also really enjoy sharing a pie and their fresh salad too. The best place to get a burger in town and truly authentic and delicious cuisine.

A perfect Valetine's day dinner! The inside is homey and relaxing and the staff are amazing and friendly. The cheese phyllo pastry pies are to die for. Had a little bit of everything on the menu and it was delicious! Thanks again for a lovely evening :)

Does a great range of balkan foods. Don't miss out on the cinnamon coffee! I'll be back to try more things on the menu for sure. The owners are super friendly and very genuine!

Perfection. If you love meat or sweet desserts, this is the only place in town to go. Have a Balkan Burger (pljeskavica), or my favourite the cevapi (Bosnian style of sausages, it's just the most delicious, spicy meat - if you love kebab or donair, you'll love cevapi WAY more. It will CHANGE YOUR LIFE. You will crave it!). The baklava is perfect. There are two chefs, husband and wife, the wife experiments with all kinds of delicious desserts. You can get baklava one day, and maybe some yogurt chocolate cake the next. IF there is dessert there, GET IT, even just to take it home. You won't get her creativity or that special OOMPH of taste anywhere else. It's my favourite restaurant in St. John's. And I've eaten at Raymond's.
