Review China Town Eatery - St. John's

The worse food I ever ate the meat was so sour I was ready to trow up at the table. The chicken balls was hard like a rock. Cooked many times I think and the rice taste and looked like dirt. I told the waitress the meat was sour and I could not eat it. Her response you owe me 14.95. Not even a discount and I only ate about two spoonfuls. Please for the sake of your health do not eat there

I absolutely love this place, all because of Mr. Lee. He will remember you for a long time and will always give you a warm service! Everytime I go there, he will check up on me and ask me how I'm doing in life. He is almost like a family to me, so my review maybe a bit biased. The food is cheap and is pretty worth it compared to the price, but he makes it up with his enthusiasm and kindkess. I'd go back again and again just to see his smiling face! I think this place needs more recognition that it gets!

Only one person working in the restaurant which is the man in charge , he said he doesn’t need anyone else he can do it all himself . Service was exceptional but there was a bit of a wait time , when we got the food home the rice was burnt up couldn’t eat as well as the egg roll , the rest was amazing food overall I think the place would do well with more workers . Probably won’t eat there again

Went there on a date before, very nice man serving but, the food was basically inedible.. some people say it’s good, but me and my date didn’t think so

Had an awesome meal from here. The man who served us, Lee, was really friendly and chatted with us while we waited for our food. The chicken balls impressed me particularly, as I do not regularly like them that much as I find them too crunchy. These had a nice crisp outside and a perfectly soft inside and the sauce they use is a lot more tasty than the regular cherry sauce most places use. Everything else was great as well and very reasonable for the price. The dinner for two is larger portions than I thought it would be for an awesome price! Highly recommend.

I've had Chinese cuisine from a few places in st John's and this is the best one! Everything was fantastic. The lady upon pick up was great to talk with. She inquired about why we moved here and made us feel absolutely welcome. I would rate this 5 stars however one item was missing from our order. So just double check (like you would anywhere) but you will not be disappointed in the flavours and how fresh everything tastes.

Rice burnt, egg rolls over cooked and greasy, chicken balls taste of fish, spear ribs honey garlic dry and taste less, mix veggies and broccoli and chicken was the only items that's was good. Rest thrown out.

I had the fried egg noodles Singapore Style and my wife had platter number 10. The noodles had burnt taste, and the fried rice had a really strange taste to them, couldn't really say what the taste was, just strange. The won-ton soup was the best I've had in a long time, just a little too salty. Service was excellent! Very friendly and quick.

Ordered for pickup, she said it would take 25 minutes. Showed up only to have to stand around waiting for an additional 25 minutes, I guess they didn't even put it on til I got there. Finally received our order only to go home and find out that their chow mein is pretty much chop suey; went back for a refund and the staff argued with us about the style of chow mein (and sorry, it just wasn't chow mein) and refused. The rest of the meal was mediocre at best, especially given that it was quite expensive for the amount of food, and I will absolutely never be going back. 0/10, recommend avoiding at all costs.

Absolute best Chinese food in St. Johns's! You MUST try their general chicken! They also carry more authentic options than other places in the city.

Tried their Fried Rice Noodles Singapore-Style. It has an awful burning smell. Will never go there again.
