My friends and I went to Quintanas last night, April 7th/17. I ordered the Mexican Flag and for dessert had Mexican Fried Bananas, both dishes were hot and delicious. Our server was great and the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. I always enjoy Quintanas and my, first time trying Quintanas friends, enjoyed it as well. We will all be back �
Delicious food, fantastic service, reasonable prices and love the atmosphere! The food is amazing: fish tacos, the Mexican flag chimichangas and yummy sangria!
Great food and great service. I think our servers name was Michael and he was super friendly. Kitchen was also very accommodating to dietary restrictions (vegan) and it was delicious. Will be back for sure!

I'm on vacation from California and was suspicious of going to a Mexican restaurant in Newfoundland, but I was happy with the food I ordered.
The guacamole was good and freshly made. The tortilla chips are made in house. The house salsa is pretty good, but the smoked pepper salsa is better. My main dish was chicken fajitas, which was well seasoned and had salsa on the side.
Overall it's decent compared to the Mexican food available back home.
Update:
I had dinner here a second night, this time I had cod fish tacos. They were prepared exactly as I would expect back home. The fish was lightly breaded and garnished with cabbage(not regular lettuce), red onion, cilantro and tomato.
Let's be clear, this is not good Mexican, TexMex, whatever you want to call it. But it's probably the best we got in NL which is why I eat here once or twice a year. Take out orders can be very slow. Service can be spotty however last time I was there a few nights ago it was excellent. This place is known for their Fish Tacos, they're pretty good. Everything else I've tried is fine, but nothing to write home about. Portions are generous.
I went to Quintana's for the first time and I loved the atmosphere and service :). The food was delicious and I thought it was such a fun restaurant! Will be going for a second visit for sure.
My family has been going to quintanas for as long as I can remember. The food is amazing and the service is very good and friendly. The paquitas and refried beans are to die for. It is by far my favourite restaurant!
Quintana's is owned by the same people who brought Tex-Mex food to Newfoundland over 30 years ago. It Is known for its origional recepies and delicious menu. By far the best Tex-Mex place in Newfoundland, a must try!
