Me and my wife where travelling from Montreal, we always had a pretty good experience at the Keg. I was in St-John for a business trip and decided to go to the local Keg. It was a bad idea, the cesar salad as an entry was pretty good, but the main dishes were not at our liking. I ask for a medium/rear steak received a medium well, my wife ask for a medium received a well done. I was pretty disappointed but took a chance with the desert, ask for a brownie with ice cream. The ice cream was already melted, and the brownie was cold and dry. Really disappointing for the price.

Had a great experience here for my last night in St. John's!
My waitress Leslie was very kind and helpful. Even when the restaurant got busier, Leslie was still very attentive and wonderful, which I really appreciated.
I got a White Sangria, Top Sirloin, and Cheesecake, and everything tasted great! Loved the apple slices in the sangria I thought they were adorable. Didn't get pics of my food cause I was so excited to eat it!

Server was fantastic but the food was quite underwhelming considering the price and how long its been here in town. Bone in prime rib was ok, ordered rare but it was blue and first time I didn't finish a steak. The lobster tail, not worth $16 for such a tiny piece of seafood and it had a strange flavor. Cauliflower was too salty as was the accompanying Hoi sin sauce. Must admit, we were expecting much better from The Keg but I've had better steak at family restaurants, we skipped dessert because we assumed it would not be worthwhile. Fairly disappointed with the experience.

We had a company party there this week. It was a great experience for all, our crew had a great time and the staff, food and service was excellent. Hopefully do it again soon!

Best steak at any restaurant I've had in town. Only issue i had was the wee amount of fries/chips i got with the 10 oz steak brother got a way lager or more filling portion with the side dish of mashed potatoes. I would suggest adding more fries as a side. Maybe i just got the last of the fries that were ready idk. But the steak was good.

I found the service this visit phenomenal! Our server was friendly and attentive and the food was great the orders came fast and was delicious and well plated( I will say I wish I had a little more salad for the price but I digress) A few minor corrections but the server handled everything professionally and left us with a great experience. Also the peach Cosmo was so divine!

The food and service was great! We were undecided as to what bottles of wine we wanted at the table and the server brought several samples until a decision was made. As it was my Mother's Birthday, the restaurant gave her a complimentary dessert. Overall the experience was great. Would recommend it.

Myself and my wife have been there many times in the past. We went to celebrate her birthday last night and I must say it was the best service that we have ever had. The server made sure we had everything we needed. Gave us refills without asking. The food was excellent and cooked the way we had requested. At the end of our meal we were served a complimentary birthday cake piece. Keep up the excellent customer service folks

My friends and I enjoyed our last hurrah for Christmas 2017 at the Keg this week. It never disappoints. We had a window seat looking out over the harbour. Service was great, the server was pleasant and efficient. My tenderloin was perfect and everyone enjoyed their entrees. The fries weren't bad but if there is a weak element to the dinner there, it's the fries. I'm not a real fan of those stick chips. But dinner partners loved their garlic mashed potatoes. The ambiance, wine and delicious cocktails rounded out the fun evening. It isn't cheap if you like cocktails and wine, but well worth it. I don't mind paying a few dollars if the meal is consistently tasty like it is at the Keg!

We went there last night to celebrate my daughters birthday .The server was first class. The wine was great and our food was good with the exception of my sister finding a hair in hers. They quickly got her a new meal as soon as they could and their was no charge. We were all a little bit grossed out and lost our appetite. Some people it would not bother. They did their best and it happens. Just an unfortunate experience and we did not let it affect our tip to our server.

Celebrated a friend’s birthday last night and loved the experience, our server M. was very attentive, the food was delicious, the matra’d was polite and the lady to brought us to our table very friendly. Our overall experience in a word.... fabulous, The Keg didn’t disappoint!

I find the Keg is great when they are on, but disappointing when they are not. Last night was disappointing. Vegetables burned beyond recognition, steaks over cooked. Okay service, but not great. Didn’t ruin the night but their inconsistency is disappointing and there are more places to get a great meal.

We had a party of 20 for my aunts 80th birthday, service was awesome but the only thing I got bad to say is the music was way to loud. But from that we were treat awesome and thank you for the great service.

I loved it! Food was fantastic but only one issue. Ordered a drink and salad came on top of that and main not long after. A bit quick but I hate to say anything as server was fantastic and meal was the same.
