To die for Bayman burger and the seafood chowder may be the best I have ever had.
Had another great meal at Bridie Molloy's. love going there with friends and family. Good is consistently good and the service is awesome. Very large menu and some great deals. Awesome spot for a night out or a brunch. Will be back
Had an amazing time here. On our first visit to the province we stumbled upon this place it became our spot to go for the rest of our trip. We had amazing food and the server Chico was great gave us great advice on local beers and foods as well as places to go. It made our trip there even more special getting to see the local side of things. Next time we come back we will definitely stop in!!!!
We went to Bridie Molloy's again this year for St. Patrick's day celebrating. Great time all round! the music, the food and the people! i want to give a shout out to Chico (sorry if spelled incorrectly) , who gave us amazing service and treated us like V.I.P. He is the best! thanks!
This has become my goto spot in St John's!
Great food and great service!
Awesome food....great staff...great entertainment!
My favourite place to eat. I love the food and the atmosphere.
Four thumbs up for Molloy's. A couple of weeks ago, some friends were in town and we decided to drop into one of the pubs along George Street for a brew. I hadn't been to Molloy's prior to that but one of the people in our four-person group had been there a couple of times and recommended the place. Once settled, since it was about 4:30 in the afternoon, we decided to get a bite to eat as well. One friend suggested we get two 2-piece fish and chips and split them among the four of us. The waitress couldn't have been more helpful. She had the kitchen prepare the food on four plates with loads of chips and coleslaw on each plate. It was absolutely delicious and hit the spot since we'd had only light lunches and were having dinner later in the evening. For me, the important thing was the level of customer service that we received. It was fantastic and we told the waitress that all of us had seen lousy customer service and she was so far in the other direction that we made sure she knew and was rewarded properly. I imagine the pub can get quite boisterous in the evening, but during the late afternoon when we were there, it was a quiet, calming place to sit and enjoy each other's company. It's definitely on my list of places to take other visitors who come through the Newfoundland capital.
We were exhausted and hungry and stopped at Talamh an Éisc for breakfast. Its sign says it's a 24 hour restaurant and the inside is a pub ... actually it's one of three pubs that are connected. I ordered the Celtic Breakfast with ham. It was good. Gord was more adventurous and ordered the Newfoundlander.
What a lovely place to dine in! Cheerful staff, fast service, beautiful setting. I had the moose burger and it was everything I wanted and more. Rich and filling, super tasty. It paired well with the Guinness. This was a wonderful experience and worth the visit.
Amber and Zach were the highlight of my trip - I went down to the Celtic Hearth with my wife for breakfast and I was told no, so I went up to Birdie Molloy's and was immediately greeted by the most friendly and accommodating team I've ever seen. Amber and Zach should own their own bar, they're absolute beacons of positivity and great customer service.
Was a fine pub, atmosphere wasnt amazing though. The live music picked up lster in the night, but was lackluster starting out.
Over all seemed decent seating and the staff was friendly enough.
Drinks seemed a bit pricey but that may be just since I'm not used to st John's pricing so take that with a grain of salt.
Amazing bartender at noon, she has only been there a few days, great personality and humour, I came from out of province and she made me feel at home, she is a keeper
Excellent music by Ron Kelly, great menu options and service on a Friday night in May. Consistent friendly welcome from Chico when he only sees us from out of town a few times a year. Food was delicious. Scallops, spinach salad and fish and chips with sweet potato fries. 3 salad options, lots of fish and shellfish and gluten free options on dinner menu.
Good restaurant. We had a nice meal.
