Highly recommend bellissimo bistro!
My boyfriend and I love to eat out! Come the weekends we are driving around looking for a spot to eat. One night we came across bellissimo. When we walked in we were welcomed by smiles, A cozy feel decor & this wonderful aroma of Italian food. We were sat right away and served right away.
We ordered the veil Parm and squash stuffed ravioli with rosè sauce. Topped both with delicious parmesan cheese & hot chilli's.
Everything was perfect in tempature, very flavorful, great consistency and large portion sized. By the end of the meal we were planning our next visit!
St. Johns really needed an authentic Italian Bistro. I'm happy we finally have one !
A hidden gem in the city. Great food at a reasonable price. The staff was attentive, friendly and not overbearing. I would definitely recommend to others and I will visit again.

Best Service and meal I've had in a long time!
Wedding anniversary supper. Friday, Sept.1, 2023, 6pm. It was busy! Wait staff were genuinely friendly and knowledgeable. Sarah was our server and was great fun!
Bruschetta to start, excellent! Bomba sauce, made fresh in house, is the best! Chicken Parm and Braciole for mains. Delicious and perfectly cooked. Dessert: affogato and cannoli.
I cannot wait to return!
This place is AMAZING.
I used to work here, and from someone who has worked at many dining spots before, THIS restaurant does everything right. I cannot tell you how much care this place puts into everything - the cleanliness, quality of the food, and the little things that just make the dining experience special, EVERYTHING. The drinks are delicious, I would go just for their cocktails. The coffee is top notch, the food is without a doubt the best food I've ever tasted (and I could never get sick of it). Part of my praise for the food comes from knowing that everything is fresh and homemade, the cooks are incredibly talented and put so much effort into making sure every dish is perfect. The quality is consistent, the serving staff there are some of the kindest people I've ever met, and the atmosphere is wonderfully cozy.
I normally don't ever leave reviews of restaurants I have worked at, but this one deserves high praise. Without a doubt the best Italian place in town.
Delicious food, cozy atmosphere and excellent service. We ordered the deluxe bruschetta as an appetizer + the carbonara pasta and chicken parmesan sandwich as mains. Took a lovely tiramisu latte to go as well. Will definitely be back on our next trip to town!!
I can not say enough about this Bistro! Amazing food, drinks, desserts, and atmosphere. The staff are so warm and welcoming and I really enjoy that you can watch as Joey, the amazing chef, cooks your meal.
The experience I had at Bellissimo tonight was TOP NOTCH. I had the seafood linguine and it was simply a delightful explosion of flavours. The music and atmosphere was pleasant and the server was very professional. After a long and stressful day at work, Bellissimo truly made my day. Will definitely go back!
A tucked away gem of downtown St. John's. If you're looking for pasta based dishes, or you are hungry then you should come here.
Excellent food and service. Small space and noise travels easy, nothing on the walls to help with noise. We were seated next to a table of six off to the side and could hardly hear each other speak.
Loved the place! They have a casual, but wonderful vibe, and the food is absolutely brilliant! This is a wonderful place to hang out for coffee and dinner. Must try!
Do not be in a hurry, but worth the wait. Besides good coffees (and amazing hot chocolate) the food was excellent. Gluten free items are safe for celiac persons. The bread in the picture was so fresh, light, crispy. Nice server.
Absolutely delicious and homemade food! Michelle served us and she was fabulous! Wes and Joey, the chefs, were top-notch and obviously prioritize customer service and taste! Highly recommend
