Review Evoo - St. John's

This has to be some of the classiest and finest dining in St John's. The drinks we're amazing and very unique. The Blueberry Lavender Cosmo who was superb and had some juniper berries in there. It was such a fragrant delicious drink. Their brussel sprouts where vegan and absolutely perfect. The combination of the maple glaze and fresh basil leaves mixed together so perfectly. Their carbonara dish came with shaved prosciutto which I've never had before but tasted pleasantly surprising. I highly recommend this place!

Our first visit. 10/10 for service, atmosphere and food. There are no pictures of food because it did not last long. Caesar salad had the perfect amount of sauce. Would go back just for the salad. The chicken parm was tender, juicy and covered with a very nice blend of cheeses and tomato sauce. So tasty A+++. The Mushroom spaghetti fabulous and simply must be experienced

Beautiful location, seemed to be a bit divided into a busy restaurant area and a more intimate bar/lounge section. Our table had a view of the kitchen, including the pizza oven, which was pretty cool. Our food was great, pizza with brie was something I'd never heard of and I'm very glad I tried. The chicken on the pizza had a very tasty seasoning as well. I tried some of my girlfriend's gnocchi too, it was perfectly tender and the sauce was delicious. We did unfortunately have an issue with the service. We were greeted by one server who didn't take our drink order, then vanished for 15 minutes. Then a different server came and took our drink and food order, and informed us that our original server was very busy. After that initial issue everything was fine, our second server was on the ball and our food came quickly, but it was annoying waiting with just water for so long. I definitely want to go back and try more pizzas!

Decent upscale but casual atmosphere, and good service. The shining star of this place really is their great selection of locally inspired dishes and cocktails.

Food was absolutely amazing, great service and staff, and the environment was very nice and super cozy.

Awesome menu with lots of variety. One of our party was gluten free and there were loads of options for her including pizzas, empanadas, pastas etc. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The atmosphere here is lovely and our server Brent was fantastic. Very attentive and helpful with the menu options. Highly recommend.

This restaurant gave a great dining experience. The service was excellent, and staff were friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. They had vegan options which were very good. There were outstanding drinks as well. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Cosy. Good dining for fall and winter due to its dark kind of candle lit atmosphere. Nice servers. Delicious food and not too expensive either, as good as Merchant Tavern almost but not as pricy. Veggie options! This was a roasted beet tomato soup with ricotta, and a chickpea/aubergine pizza... SO GOOD and hearty and filling. Really yummy cocktails too! My parents had the pasta and salad and they said also incredible. No parking, as downtown but in the heart of the city!

We made reservations online. It was easy, quick and efficient. While dining our waitress was upbeat, helpful and fun. The food was fantastic! A few members of our party had pizza and appetizers to share with the table. Overall, we had a fantastic time! P.S.: The Cream of Mushroom soup was amazing.

Have to pause to leave a review on EVOO. Myself and my husband visited about a week or so ago and the service and the food was absolutely fabulous! Our server, the kitchen staff, and restaurant manager were all friendly and wanted to make sure we enjoyed our visit and our meal. The food itself was delicious. The menu has a nice variety of non-vegetarian, vegetarian, and vegan food. We had the vegetarian and vegan dishes and they did not disappoint! Looking forward to visiting again, until then we will definitley recommend it to others! Thanks EVOO staff for a wonderful evening!

The food was amazing, great vegan options and they were delicious! Brussel sprout appetizer blew out minds and the pizza was excellent. Service was outstanding, Rebecca took great care of us, highly recommend everyone visit EVOO.

The food and service here was so great, I went three times while in St. John’s! Loved the gluten-free pizza with dairy-free cashew cheese (not many places do that!) plus between 5 and 6 the pizzas are 2 for 1. Brian was a fantastic server who remembered my favourite drink when I returned and even though the kitchen was closed when I came in late one night, they still whipped up the gluten-free calamari. �����

We went to EVOO for the first time for Father’s Day supper and it was everything we could have hoped for and more. Our server was so friendly and helpful and quickly accommodated us as we brought in our highchair for our baby. The pizzas were an amazing deal until 6 PM of buy one get one free, with the option for takeout. Wine, meatballs, gnocchi, pizza, and tiramisu were all so delicious. There was an issue with one of the pizzas that was brought out and it was handled so swiftly, which was very impressive. Calm, dimly lit atmosphere was relaxing and not at all loud and abrasive like other places. I only wish I could have tried more from the menu! We will definitely be back. �

Went with my 6 yr old son and husband. My husband is vegan and was impressed by the vegan menu options. He had the tomato and beet soup and Mediterranean pizza. Both were delicious! Nice that a kids menu is available and they will make substitutions with no issue. I had the burger and it was amazing! Lovely atmosphere, great service. One of the best restaurants downtown. Hands down the most inclusive. We will be definitely be back.

We live a whole food plant based lifestyle, their vegan menu was amazing! Our server, Ryan from the bar was fantastic and made us feel very comfortable with our request of no oil. He spoke with the chef who offered some suggestions to keep our pizzas from drying out. Great experience, we will be back to tackle some more off that menu! Superb!

It’s amazing to see somewhere in Newfoundland have so many vegan options (a full separate menu!!!) and it’s also amazing that these options are absolutely delicious. 10/10 will be back (like maybe tomorrow). I seriously had a slice of pizza in each hand at one point. Pure excitement.

Pizza was great! Service not so great and beware carpaccio is raw meat! Had I known that I would never have ordered it! Server never even checked on us and when he did never asked as to why I didn't eat it just said "are u finished with this" wasn't even touched. But the pizza as I said was good! I would go back for the pizza!

We've been looking for a nice dining option for vegan food, and we've finally found it. The food was amazing, and had new flavours that we loved. The atmosphere was also great - not too bright/loud. Love your cashew cheese!

Great service! Great atmosphere! Love the food! Tried the beyond vegan burger and it was amazing! One of the best restaurants in St. John’s.

The pizza there on Sunday was pure plop. Hope the place improves in the coming weeks. Not sure how I feel about the Evoo food menu it will have this summer. I Feel like the old one suited the outdoor atmosphere better.

Had an absolutely fantastic experience at Evoo! Out for a birthday supper and my friends and I were clutching our pearl necklaces (so to speak) after hearing rumors about the vegan options. Upon inquiry a second menu was issued to us and we were overjoyed! The options were simple and exquisite! So very much appreciated and absolutely tantalizing! I would very much recommend, for veg heads and omnivores alike! The chef was even so kind to whip up a delicate dessert. I loved the visit and look forward to going again!

Went for a convocation celebration. The food was incredible! Everyone at our table was raving about their meals afterwards. The staff was great, super friendly and fun too! Will definitely be back.

Just tried the Beyond Meat burger (first time having that burger, and first time visiting EVOO actually), and was it ever freakin' delicious! Even my very non-vegan mother loved it! And the dessert was amazing as well. Great staff, awesome food - I see many many more visits in my future. : )

My favorite restaurant in the city. A fantastic vegan menu which keeps me coming back. My husband has also loved everything he's tried on the regular menu. We love it here.

Had a great meal with my friends last night. The food was delicious, and our server was efficient. Two small complaints: the music was quite loud and made conversation difficult, and I wish you took reservations for everyone, not just large groups.
