Fantastic menu. Excellent food and selection. Some very interesting and new items I've never had before. The decor is a little dated and not the greatest atmosphere but the service was fantastic. You won't be disappointed.
Where do I start? great restaurant, I found this gem when I had moved to the Niagara area. I tried many others that offer all you can eat sushi, but this restaurant is the best by far. Everything was perfect, the ambiance, very clean and bright inside, fresh food and good service. Whether you go for lunch or dinner, it’s a great value, whatever we ordered, we recieved, not sure about now, but portion sizes and the fact that you could get so much sashimi makes Sushi Ai the place to go when you are hungry. Nick is great, i’ve been personally served food by him, he keeps glasses full and is always courteous. I have since moved to the west coast and have honestly missed his restaurant, I haven’t found a better All-You-Can-Eat Sushi place since. I’ll see you all in the summer!
Love the small order sizes, great for going as a couple. Love the very unique rolls. Can't wait to go back.
I have been to at least 100 sushi places around the GTA. I liked a few of them. I I did not know how good thing could be until I accidentally ended up at sushi ai.
Now I don't go to any other sushi place.
When I want sushi I drive 133 km to sushi Ai. Trust me the are that good
My favourite-hands down.. Best sushi place in the area-prompt service and great food!
Second time going to sushi ai. Food was great and service was friendly...didn't take long to get what we ordered. Must be prepared to eat when spending $30 though!
Exceeded Expectations. This is an all-u-can-eat that makes you feel like you are at a higher end place. Every dish is brought to the table by itself and with excellent presentation. Food also tastes like high end sushi. Best all-u-can-eat sushi place in the Niagara area!
Meal finished with a surprise desert (was there for an anniversary) which was brought to the table with a smile. Can only describe what it was as 'Mars-Bar Tempura" Was the tastiest desert item I have had in a very long time! Wow!
Best sushi in the area. Sushi ai roll is great as always.
tried beef short ribs as server recommended, sooooooo good.
hot sake is different but good with sashimi,
tried new things this time, good service.
will be back soon,lol
Great Experience. Being Celiac I have a difficult time when I visit restaurants. When I visited Sushi AI I was so pleased with the suggestions they made so that I would have a great dining experience free from gluten.
I ahve been back several times and it is always first class. I love the green tea and mango ice cream. We will be returning often, even the grand kids love it.
Best sushi ever. Great place! The service was superb! The waiter made a recommendation to order from each part of the menu and share, like family style. The sushi was the best we've ever had! Slices of fish are generous in size and very fresh. All recommendations were amazing! I highly recommend this place!!
Fantastic First Impression!. I have been to practically every "All You Can Eat" Sushi restaurant in the Niagara Region.
I have also had the chance to try many different Sushi restaurants around the United States
and in Quebec.
I would consider myself some what of a connoisseur when it comes to Sushi, as I have pretty much tried everything and anything there is in the world of raw fish with no fear.
After my experience at Sushi AI, I felt that this place deserved a detailed review.
I will start with the atmosphere. The moment I walked into Sushi AI I felt welcomed, not only by the staff but by the environment itself. The whole restaurant was very open, clean, and well decorated, it has a very upscale feeling to it.
We were seated near the back, at a table on a raised platform or stage like area, we were given the menu, and immediately asked for our drink orders. In this case we only ordered pop, refills are free. They did have an impressive local wine list for those interested.
I was already impressed when I saw the menu, it was so hard to make a first order because I was so excited. I will break down all of what we had throughout the dinner;
Since we are not really big on Tempuru veggies, I ordered the Baby Octopus Skewers, which is actually just a cuttlefish, I have had this before in other Sushi establishments, but by far it was the best I have ever tasted, whatever sauces they cooked these in was phenomenal.
For our Sashimi selection we had; Salmon, Red Snapper, Surf Clam, Squid, Octupus, and Red Tuna. Let me first say, WOW! It was so fresh that it seemed like it was taken right from the water. Second, Sushi AI is the first place in the Niagara Region to offer Sashimi and Nigiri squid! This REALLY impressed me as it's rare to come by and I love the taste. The Red Tuna was another personal favourite of the evening. Our Nigiri selections were; White Tuna and Crabmeat. I would like to add, Sushi AI doesn't fill you on rice by any means. The rice on the Nigiri was 1/3rd the size of the fish, this really caught my attention and was a very pleasant surprise. They do not skimp on the quantity what so ever.
Next, we move on to the Specialty Rolls that Sushi AI makes. There was quite the selection but we ended up having, under the Legend Rolls section, the White Tiger. This was huge, it was almost the size of my arm and was very delicious. We also had the Spider Man under the Hero Rolls section. Which was basically a Spider Roll, but carefully laid out on a web of Japanese Mayonnaise. Another reason we loved this place so much, the Sushi Chefs really take pride in their art. Finally for Regular Rolls we had the Spicy Crabmeat, it was excellent, and of course we had to have Hand Rolls, we had the Spicy Tuna and the Shrimp Tempura.
We were honestly too stuffed for dessert but they did offer the typical ice creams and the fried banana as many Sushi places do.
Sushi AI really does not feel like the typical "All You Can Eat" sushi restaurant. The sushi is made with pride, its fresh, and the quantities are enormous. The food is traditional, and the staff are friendly and courteous. The Sushi Chefs really take their time, and put a lot of effort into making your experience something to remember. We couldn't have possibly asked for a better first impression and experience. If I had to give one con, it would have to be the lighting, it's my understanding that they dim the lights for the dinner hours for ambiance. I would have been happier if it was just a little brighter. Kudos to the owner Nick Ni, and his staff! Don't change a thing!
After trying practically every Sushi place in the Niagara Region, Sushi AI is leaps and bounds above any of the competition! Mark my words, surrounding competitors will be out of business soon if they don't smarten up get up to par with Sushi AI.
Had been a devotee of East's all-you-can-eat. One visit to Sushi Ai, and I'm smitten. Fast, attentive and accommodating service (made slight adjustments to rolls upon request), and a well-selected wine list. The usual suspects on the beer menu. Dimming the house lights for the dinner crowd might make it feel less like a cafeteria, but at least you can see the sushi chefs working their magic with remarkably fresh ingredients. Sushi Ai supercedes its numerous downtown a-y-c-e competitors.
Relly good! And a 10% discount for students!
