Review Pho Nha - St. Catharines

Original Review 5/5 I am very happy this place opened up. Very good quality Vietnamese food. The pho broth is very good. The grilled pork in the vermicelli bowl tastes fresh and it's well seasoned. The place is very very clean. The staff is extremely nice. My new go-to place for Vietnamese food.

My wife and I thought we'd give this new Vietnamese place a try. What a waste of money! We browsed their other options and decided on a fried noodle dish. Normally we can split one dish and be pretty full at other places, but not here. Portions were shockingly small for $14.69 and I counted about 6-7 small slices of beef. Also, to make the take-out container look full they put a very stingy cup of hot sauce and vinegar in with it. As for flavour, I'd say it tasted a lot like a stir fry you would get from a Chinese food court shop in the mall. UPDATE: So I decided to give this place another try hoping my experience would be different the second time around. I ordered their house style fried noodles thinking this might be better than the other noodle dish I've had. It turned out to be very bland and dry Pad Thai. I feel like other than pho and a few other dishes this place has no food identity for saying they're Vietnamese cuisine. Both fried noodle dishes I've ordered were Thai and Chinese style. On a positive note their pho broth tasted like any other place so maybe I'll just stick to that next time.

This evening my wife and I went to Pho Nha. First impression of the place was that it was clean. Saw no issues of any kind with respect to cleanliness. Top marks there. We were greeted wth a big smile, which is always nice. Nothing worse than staff that are clearly not enjoying life. Staff were at our table filling water glasses within 5 minutes of being seated, and our glasses were kept full through out the meal. For starters we had an appetizer of Deep Fried Pork and Shrimp Wontons, they were very tasty. For our meals I had a Chicken Curry with Steamed Rice, which was very good. Made so, I’m sure, by the fact they made it with chicken that still had the bone in and the skin on. My wife had Sweat and Sour Chicken with Steamed Rice. By all accounts it was also delicious. My wife had ginger ale and I had a Banana Bubble tea. The staff was helpful as well as funny. The place was not busy at all and the service was quick and friendly. The food came out hot and was well presented. The amount of food was well portioned, I am not really a fan of portions so big that they can not be finished, which just ends up being wasted food. These portion sizes were just right. The bill came out to 56.19, 15% tip included. My wife and I will be going back the This pleasantly decorated establishment. For us it was a nice find.

Great place for warm pho soup on a winter evening! I got their Valentine's Day special which came with so much great food for a great price! It usually comes with 2 desserts but the staff were so nice they gave one for each of us :)

Had a great take out lunch today. Great to have a Pho restaurant close to by. Had the special which really hit the spot. Will be back for some soup on a cold rainy day

Amazing food. Lots of variety, very authentic Vietnamese. Great atmosphere. Owner was very friendly and helped us order. Would highly recommend.

Had awesome spring rolls, pho and crispy noodles. The presentation was very appealing. The pho and crispy noodles were filled with flavourful vegetables and meats. I will be back !

So nice to enjoy the Yummy Mango Salad. The patio with nice shades and awesome breeze... So gooood!

The meal was fresh and beautifully presented. The owner and staff are friendly and service was fast. You can feel the family atmosphere. It is across from the hospital so if you are looking for a healthy alternative for lunch or dinner, then this is the place to go. I will recommend this restaurant to friends and family.

Have never tried Vietnamese food before and now im very glad I have. The food was delicious with big portions. Full of flavor and staff was very good. Had the Pho special and pork rolls. Will be back!!

Came in on a recommendation of friends. The food is delicious. We had the pork spring rolls and vermicelli bowls. Crisp and fresh flavours permeated every mouthful. Service is very fast and friendly. The owner is very engaging. Will be making many return trips. Glenn

Took my daughter there yesterday food was terrific full of flavour and beautifully presented. The waitress was friendly and helped us with the menu. The restaurant is decorated very nicely and was very clean. Can’t wait to go back and try some other dishes.

Awesome Food, Great service, relaxing atmosphere.

First impression: nicely decorated; cozy atmosphere and friendly service. �� Then came the food, WOW ��� LOVE IT LIVE IT LOVE IT ����what more can I say!!! Definitely will be back, even if I have to drive all the way from Markham, a 90 minute drive just for this.
