The food here is always delicious and fresh! Hands down the best pad Thai and panang I've ever had. Plus the delivery is super convenient and quick! Would absolutely recommend this place�
We love love love this restaurant!! We order take out 2-3x a month and it’s always sooo good! When relatives are down we get our usual dishes just not as spicy! I highly recommend the red curry and the pad Thai the spicy fried rice is good too. If you like spicy get #3 you will lot be disappointed. The staff are super friendly and the food is quick 10-15minutes every single time we order. I can’t say enough about this place we love it so much!! I have tried other Thai places in Niagara and they do not compare!
Sahla Thai has been around for so many years - it's one of the most familiar spots in downtown St. Catharines - the longevity is a testament to the quality of food and courteousness of staff.
Spiciness can be specified for most dishes - Sahla Thai uses a "1 to 5" system - very handy, whether you have high or low tolerance to spice!
First time at this restaurant, I had the crab Rangoon and pad Thai, very very good!!
Beautiful decor, great food, and the owners are Thai which makes it super authentic. We are from out of town but will definitely be back when we visit the area again.
Sahla Thai is one of the best places for a meal out food is always great can't say I've ever been disappointed . I moved back to Niagara in the fall of 1994 the same time this place opened been coming here ever since love Sahla Thai !

Pad Thai is amazing. Crab Rangoon is amazing! My husband and I don't have much experience with other types of foods so we usually eat the same thing when we go. He actually tried the sweet n sour pork and he didn't like it. A whole plate wasted but that's ok. He had poutine on the way home. I ate my pad Thai. Now we know to stick with the pad Thai and not attempt to try anything else lol

The best Thai restaurant I have been to in Canada. Location and setting of the restaurant is excellent but parking can be an issue. The setting is very traditional Thai which adds to the experience. The service is great and very attentive. I tried the Pad Thai, Spring rolls ( delicious), snowshrimp and Sahla Thai special chicken. This place is worth trying. They also do delivery , but the experience of going there is excellent.
Enjoyed Sahla Thai twice, once in the restaurant, and once by delivery. Had the Pannaeng as entree both times, as well as satay chicken and tome yum kroong shrimp soup. I was pleased with quality of food, my personal control of the spiciness i got, and the amount of rice i got for $2. However, I would advise against the delivery option, as they give a smaller portion and you pay at least $5 for delivery. Will not be ordering delivery again, but I'll likely be going to the restaurant, or picking up my order, again. Delivery soup cost $6, was the amount an average/small mug would hold, and had 2 shrimp in it, quite the rip off. Still, the food is very tasty and enjoyable
Great food. One of my favourites in St. Kitts. Not sure if authentic because I've never eaten to compare but it's amazing. Can't get enough of the house sauce. Caters to your spice level. Tried almost everything on menu and loved most of it. Great quality food and wonderful staff.
Authentic Thai decor and food! The service is quick and the food is decently priced when sharing dishes amoung friends or as a couple. Love that we can add our own spice to get the flavour we want out of the food and that the rice has a jasmine smell and wonderful Thai taste!
Cashew Chicken All The Way. My husband,i have gone to this restaurant before they got their new location I love the cashew chicken and would recommend this dish. The staff could be friendlier though

Giant portions. I always see the place on my way downtown but have shrugged it off until recently. I'm glad my friend recommended me to come here. I tried the mango fried rice (chicken, cashews, and mango slices) as well as the pad thai, both at level two (of five). Even then, it was spicier than expected but not over the top. Quality ingredients, massive portions (maybe because we did take out), and the staff was friendly. Very reasonably priced as well.
Interesting decor and good food. I've had pad thai all over and this ranks as pretty good. It was interesting that they put in cauliflower which I've never had that anywhere else. I do wish they would have put sriacha on the table even though they had the personalized spicy levels. The decor consisted of ALOT of carved intricate wood things. Big portions. Nice, friendly server.

Consistently good food!. We typically use the take-out service, but are big fans of Sahla Thai's food. The Sahla Thai Fried Rice is great and the Pad Thai is popular also. The crab appetizer (with the cream cheese) is a staple for our order. Eating here has made us abandon our chinese food and japenese food ordering in favour of the more flavourful Thai food.
Dishes are ordered according to spice level (0 to 5), so there is something for everyone. The only dish we have ordered that we did not like was the Mushroom stirfry.
BEST thai food.. Great food, atmosphere may not be preferred but the food is totally worth it. I have experienced a lot of Thai restaurants in Ontario, and even in QC and Salah Thai is my fav. I currently live in Ottawa and when I visit my parents in St.Catherines I am sure to pick up at least 2 orders of Salah Thai (Pad thai w/ beef to be specific) to go every time. Highly suggest this place. Very good service and even better food.
Always Delicious. My family and I eat at Sahla Thai at least three times a month. It's always delicious.
Awesome pad thai, large portion, reasonably priced Curry was good, but I prefer more chicken or veggies in it. Was more of just a sauce with little chicken . Rice comes with it, no need to order on the side which was nice.
Never been disappointed.. We always order takeout from Sahla Thai and have never been disappointed. Generally, we order the Pad Thai, Pannaeng Chicken or Beef, Cashew Chicken, Crazy Chicken usually with a soup. Our spice level is a 3 or higher. Having lived and worked in the GTA, Burlington and Hamilton it has been difficult to find a Thai restaurant we like better. There have been recent openings in St. Catharines and we have liked them as well. We have friends who have lived in Japan and Korea and vacationed in Thailand frequently and also always order from Sahla Thai. We will continue to order again and again. With an 84% rating based on 200 votes, Sahla Thai has a very good and well deserved rating. Keep on cooking Sahla Thai!

Good Food. This would be my third time going, and usually I will not review something unless it is terrible on the first go.
So now that I have been there a few times, I would like to give my review of very good but can be better.
The atmosphere when you first walk in looks like a Thai restaurant should. The decor is fantastic.
A very warm and welcome feeling as you enter Sahla Thai.
Seems very authentic; you do not see English people working there, they are all Asian.
The food is give or take depending on who is cooking, but all together the food is fantastic. Not really the typical Thai food, it more more on the level of Thai\Chinese and Americanized
Little unknown secret they have the spice level does not stop at 5, you can actually order a 20 if you do not plan on leaving the house for the next 12 hours. A medium level is hot but not to the point you need to drink something to cool off your mouth.
Also one of the main things I look for as well, when I am leaving. As you leave you get the feel good feeling of thank you very much for coming, hope to see you again soon.
So to sum up the review, Great service for a good price, with not so bad THAI STYLE food. If you look past it not beaning the real style Thai, then it is great food. Though if you are looking for the authentic style look some where else.
I am a North American Carnivore.. Many years ago, I was dragged (kicking and screaming) to this restaurant by my wife. Well, did it open my eyes (and pallet) to the flavours of Thai food. I am not a seafood 'eater' so I stick mainly to the chicken/beef or rice dishes and the spring rolls (A1 on the menu). My new favourite is the Thai Fried Mango rice with beef with old fav's being: Thai Fried Rice (RN2), Cashew Chicken (SF1), Lovely Chicken (SP5), Crazy Chicken (B2) and the Robin Hood Ribs (B1). The spice level(s) suit me fine as I am only a '2 ½ to 3' while my friends are off the scale with their spice level(s). Never been disappointed by the menu or service in either the new location or the old location.

Love it!. I have been going here for a few years now, and it never disappoints! They have a pretty good selection for vegetarians! My favourite items has to be the deep fried banana desert served with coconut ice cream- to die for! The atmosphere is great, the inside of the resturant is beatifully decorated with wood carvings etc. Highly recomend!
Easy parking this time around!. My co-worker and I dropped by for lunch today. Parking seemed much easier compared to their previous place. We had fire chicken, pad thai noodles, and thai iced tea to drink. I'm not quite sure what authentic thai is actually like but I can still conclude that this place has good food and price is reasonable.
Excellent Food. Great restaurant, great atmosphere. The crazy chicken is amazing, all of the food is. Have spring rolls for your app and try the deep fried bananas for dessert. Slightly more expensive at dinner time but the portions are HUGE. A must try if you like Thai.
