Review Valley Restaurant - St. Catharines

I just don't know where to start. This restaurant was my second Italian restaurant and they have lived up to my expectation. The food was absolutely delicious. The asparagus soup of the day is amazing. Presentation was exceptional. I will definitely visit when I am in St Catherine's again. Well done to the service and chef.

One of the best Italian restaurants that I've been. The pasta was amazing and the service was excellent! The dishes are very big so they can serve 2 people easily. I highly recommend it!

We had an incredible time! The food was absolutely amazing. And the service was top-notch. Our server, Selena, gave excellent service as well as the chef; who brought out and described all of our dishes! Selena makes perfect martinis, especially the espresso martini. It’s perfect for a date night. We sat in a little nook surrounded by wine bottles that was very romantic. We are already planning to go back for our anniversary next month. Highly recommend!

When seated, you’re started off with a complimentary focaccia bread drizzled in balsamic and olive oil. We ordered the fried provolone to start which was delicious. I definitely recommend the house lasagne as the portion is large, it tastes absolutely fantastic and for $20 you will not find something better in the city. I can stomach a lot of food and I could not finish my dish. My girl had the house spaghetti and in house made meatballs which were amazing. The Waiting staff was extremely friendly and quick. This cute hidden gem is a definite must try for date night or any special occasion.

My favourite Italian restaurant in the city! Extremely authentic, fresh, homemade, high quality ingredients. I really enjoy the vintage Italian the atmosphere. Tastes just like Italy! <3

This was our first time at the restaurant and came based on reviews. The food was good and the service excellent but I think we have to give this restaurant another try as it didn't stand out a lot in our minds. We were brought focaccia after placing our order. It was a little disappointing because it was cold - like it was kept in a fridge or perhaps had been frozen. For appetizers my wife ordered the shrimp on beans which was delicious. The beans were cold and we wondered if it would have been better if they were a little warmer. Great spice and a touch of heat. I had the mussels which themselves tasted great and were healthy but the sauce was a bit on the boring side. Since the focaccia was also cold we didn't dip as much as we are used to. We ordered a glass of Prosecco each for the appetizer which was very tasty. Also, my appetizer came out before my wife's, not what you'd expect. For dinner my wife had the short rib, fall off the bone tender and delicious. I had the lamb ragu which was great - the sauce had lots of flavor and the basil was great. The gnocchi was hand made and had excellent body to it. Along with the meal with had a 2017 Luiano Chianti classico. It was opened and poured before our appetizers were served but could stand with being open longer. Once we had it with our meal the flavor really came out and it had an excellent body. Would highly recommend this wine. For dessert we chose the lemon cheesecake (my wife's choice) and the pecan pie. My wife really enjoyed hers and for me the pecan pie was fantastic. Not too sweet or heavy which I really enjoyed. Finally with the bill they brought us 2 small glasses of limoncello which was a great way to end the meal. Overall the portions were a good size for us. Not small but not overly large. I would recommend this place for a good meal. I think we need to try it again to see if it really stands out.

This restaurant is amazing and I did not want to leave!!! Our server Andrew was amazing and had a great sense of humour. The food was amazing, I had the Positano pasta. The noodles were so fresh and the lemon was AMAZING!! We ate on the patio and it was so quiet, relaxing and an amazing atmosphere all around. You have to get the Aligo e Formaggio was an amazing appetizer ❤️❤️❤️

Everyone's meal was excellent; chicken milano, veal and chicken parm. Quaint, relaxed atmosphere. Loved seeing the history of the restaurant on the front of the menu. My mom has gone there since it was a hot dog and burger hut.

Absolutely enjoyed everything .... from the establishment, interior decor but mostly the food and the free shot of Lemoncillo before you leave. Just wish the tables were not so close together. First time for me ever, to go out for dinner and not find any foreign objects in my food lol. My server enjoyed sharing my story about Julio Iglesias.

Still one of the top 3 restaurants in the niagara region for food. Service and overall caring by the owners and staff Had a small wedding reception there a few years back . awesome as always And eat there ay least a few times a year Its definately a treasure

I ate here 3 times in the period of about 6 weeks, A dinner date, A Christmas celebration and a family birthday- all three times everyone had an amazing meal and enjoyed the music of Michael Oakley two of those times who created a wonderful atmosphere! Loved the lemoncello at the end! Nice touch :)

Every time I am in town I try to get here for a meal. Service and food is always exceptional. From the old owners to the new you didn't seem to skip a beat still super Italian meals. Can't wait for my next visit.

I have not been there in years, but one of the best and most memorable meal was their chicken cacciatore. I must go back next time I am home.

Wanted to give the owner a shout out for the wonderful service she gave us tonight..along with our waitress Leah. We had reservations there on New years Eve 2017 and couldnt get in as a car had previously run into the building just an hour before we were to arrive so it threw our New Years eves plan for a loop..I mentioned to the owner about what had happened that night and how happy I was to finally be frequenting the restaurant and she offered us free coffee and dessert..then came over and slipped us $25 in gift certificates for any inconvenience we had New Years Eve. That was wonderful above and beyond customer service and we can't wait to go back!! Thank you for a lovely evening!! <3

This restaurant has such charm! The owner treats you like family and goes out of her way to make you feel happy. Prices are reasonable and food was good.

Thanks Nadia and staff for the amazing dinner last night. My father in law hosts an anniversary / birthday dinner for all his children and extended children every year. This year it was at "The Valley". The meal was terrific, the staff amazing, and the company second to none. We truly enjoyed ourselves.

Great food and atmosphere & the best part is I only have to walk 4 house lengths to get there 👏👏👏😘
