Quality food. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Portion sizes are great and the food is always consistent. Its our preferred lunch spot in town. Definitely recommend!

My partner and I just finished eating her for the second time and it was absolutely delicious!! We typically eat sushi in Edmonton but now we will be eating here. It is clean, the food tastes and looks fresh and the staff look tidy.
The only thing we were not impressed with was the Gyoza. Although they were delicious, we found the price way too steep for the amount served, and therefore did not order it this time.
If I could give them more stars I would. This restaurant is a joy to come to. I get excited every second Friday when we go. Not just for the amazing food, which they have plenty of, but for the wonderful service and smiles from the owners. One of my favourite parts of sushi is the experience of watching them prepare it, small talking with the sushi chefs and enjoying the atmosphere with my husband. If you want excellent sushi [or cooked korean food] with a wonderful atmosphere, this is the place to be. I can't say enough about it. Their warmth surpasses the other, terrible sushi location in spruce. Head this way for a great meal.
I would honestly eat here every day! The owners, and staff truly treat you like family, and the food quality, and presentation are absolutely amazing! The atmosphere is always welcoming, and the chefs never disappoint. It's definitely a must try if you are in the area! ENJOY!
Excellent Japanese restaurant, especially for its location. Fresh ingredients and friendly staff. Had a roll bento box and it was enough for a hungry person. A bit on the pricier side until the plate shows up. Then you realize what you are paying for. Seafood soup and the miso are both very good!
Holy crap you guys. Great service, comfortable atmosphere. The waiter made me feel at home but wasn't hovering either, food came quickly and was well worth the money, superb quality. My new favourite sushi place! Small enough to be a quiet and inviting place.
This is my favorite place to eat out by far. The specials never disappoint, always something new and inventive and always very tasty. High quality sushi and great service in a nice small restaurant. I've been there lots since they opened and have never had a bad meal.
Wow. What a great place!They have a lion king roll featured this month that is so beautiful and soooo good. They really know what they are doing. The menu has a lot to choose from and even some Korean dishes as well. Friendly knowledgeable staff and great service. We will definitely be back!

This was worth my drive to Spruce Grove from South Edmonton and I will be back for more.. I think this is my favourite Japanese restaurant in Edmonton & Surrounding Areas. Japonais Bistro, Sumo Sumo, Sushi Sugoi, Sushi Wasabi, etc are nice but this place gives me the novelty that no other places have yet to offer.
I simply love the interior design of this restaurant. I felt so relaxed inside. It reminded me of "I Love Sushi" in Las Vegas but only better and cleaner. This was opened back in November 2014 so everything was sparkling clean and brand spanking new. Exploit this before it gets more weathered :)
I enjoyed the food and I liked how daring the chef was in creating something unique. The sodam sashimi with olive oil and fried garlic was the single best thing I've tasted in Edmonton & Areas so far. I wish the sashimi was more thickly cut to justify the price tag but the thin slices actually allowed it to infuse with the olive oil more, creating a wonderful experience. This was on their winter menu so it might not make it to the normal menu so go now!
The chirashi bowl was pretty awesome with korean chili sauce. Oh I believe the owner is Korean so things have a bit of a fusion feeling to it. Have no fear! I came here because of ItDog and their awesome fried chicken (terrible hot dogs though...). Anyways, I ordered a Japanese fish cake but the server made a mistake and gave me fish and chips with sweet potato fries. I am glad I accepted it instead of taking it back because it was a very nicely deep fried piece of cod. It was fresh and soft in the middle and crispy on the outside. The batter actually sticks to the fish instead of being separated from the fish (which is my pet peeve). The roll had a bit of a fiery taste to it and I enjoyed it as well. I only hoped it didn't taste so close to the chirashi bowl - but oh well. My bad!
I know I always say a place is good and then I go to it the second time and it is either terrible or so-so... I'm working on that... I will update the review when I visit it the second time :) I learned that the best reviews are often backed up by multiple visits (see Nomiya review for example).
Finally!!. Finally a place close to home that's comparable, if not better, than the sushi places in Edmonton. Super friendly staff and great service! Love it here!
Had a great meal of sushi and Korean dishes. Very good quality and service was equally good. Beef tataki was especially good and priced well (for beef tataki). A second sushi place was desperately needed in Spruce and it is a great spot. Equal in quality to Sakai and maybe a bit less expensive with quicker service. Will definetely be back.
Awesome. I am a very picky eater and I enjoy it here. No complaints. Best calamari inside a forty minute drive at a very very good price. The sushi is top notch and they also offer meals to satisfy a mans hunger. (my husband made me write that) He left stuffed on teriyaki chicken in a very generous portion size. The soups are amazing. Everything is prepared fresh by very happy chefs working in the open in front of you. The energy of this restaurant is what really stands out to me as well. Very positive air to it. Happy.Very happy to find this gem. Do yourself a favor and go see for yourself. This is my first review ever. They deserved it.
