Friendly staff. Very tasty food. Great options for Chinese and Canadian food. Chop suey and vegetarian fried rice were delicious.

Food is average. Not the greatest but what options do I have anyways in this part of the town. Only accepts 💵 and does not accept 💳

I had take out and there were only two packets of sauce for two entrees. I understand cost savings but ask the customer how much they would like if you want to save product. There was no where enough sauce for my appetizer. Overall the Chinese food was very basic and overpriced for what it was. I’ve had higher quality Chinese for a much better price. I have no interest in getting food there again.

From the exterior of New Kowloon as I walked up, the place was visually unappealing. There is a garbage bag tapped down on top of the doorway entrance. As you make your way into the dated furnishings and wall colours, now stained with a coating of dust, cumulated dust. The menu had 2 sides, 1 Canadian food and the other side held a Chinese selection. I had ordered 12 chicken wings. The price is fair. The wings looked golden and crispy, but they lacked crunch, however, they tasted good; very good. MSG is used in their wing recipe. I know this from a few years of eating it while I was coupled to a Vietnamese woman. As the physical heat on the wings began to settle I could now taste other flavours, which lead me to believe the oil had not been changed in quite sometime. I'm uncertain how long that time frame may look. The overall experience was mediocre, but not bad in any shape, way or form.

Sioux Lookout's best kept secret. Stick with the Szechuan menu if you want something spicy and healthy (-er) otherwise it's got perfectly average chicken balls and burgers like every other restaurant in town. The curry chicken is my go to.

This is a place of nostalgia. It is currently up for sale. I remembered going here as early as 5 years old. It must have been in business 45 years plus in this community. It is worn down and shows it s age. The food is worthy of eating and has good flavour. Should it close down it would be sad to see it go. Not many businesses survive Sioux Lookout but for the families Chinese families who kept the doors open for 5 decades.....Thank you

I just showed up to this city and I was mad hungry. As my hunger was uncontrollable I searched this baron town for any sign of food. Then I found the closest place which was New Kowloon. I entered scrambling around as my legs where giving way. All of a sudden what could only be an angel came rushing towards me and escorted me to my seat. She asked what I would have and I just said you pick ill eat anything. Here she comes out with wonton soup with pork inside. The first bite I took was euoporhic. Ive never felt such love in my mouth before. Every bite I took I felt one step closer to God. But I needed more. How could I stop only at the soup? I asked for rice and honey chicken after. They made and prepared it in a matter of minutes and before I could even wipe the soup splatter off my glasses my food was there infront of me. Now this food was somehow better. I can't believe people where capable of making food like this. I could eat whatever was served here forever. And I'm not exaggerating. Ive been here for 5 years and i still go daily for the most authentic chinese food ever.
