Review Beacon Landing Restaurant And Pub - Sidney

It is a pleasure to find a store that devotes so much attention to customer satisfaction. The selection of product is amazing, with wines, liquor and beer not found in other area stores. The scotch selection is superb, and priced lower than most other stores. The friendly staff make the shopping experience a pleasure.

This web site has been hijacked by someone, and clicking the "website" button redirects to an on-line pharmacy. Be cautious ! Meanwhile, the manager follows through on any commitments he makes regarding special stock. It would be perfect if the web site worked, but apparently the owners don't read reviews, which is too bad.

Great service by great people and a great selection. They are also extremely dog friendly (TLC and treats!). Now every time I walk my dogs anywhere near, they want to pay a visit inside. Clever marketing by very lovely people. Five paws/stars!

Very good selection of local craft beer including a few unique ones that are hard to get. Exceptional customer service with knowledgeable and friendly staff.

Friendly staff, always happy to chat and make rec's. Also a great selection of single tall can beers.

We came in last monday amid the snow storm and James was wonderful and kind. We were stranded in victoria because of cancelled flights and it was very nice to get such good service.

Daughter and I stopped in for a late lunch on the patio. All Covid Rules obeyed. The views are spectacular. Our server Merril was lovely, service was quick and Douglas the Chef even came to ask how our meal was. It was a perfect end to our afternoon before driving back to Victoria.

I have eaten here regularly for the past 10 years with my wifey and friends and consistently experienced the best staff, best service, best burger, best view!

Less pretentious than the place across the street but just as good in every way. Top notch polite and friendly staff who do a good job point out the specials or directing you to something interesting if you cant make up your mind. Menu makes use of a lot of locally sourced ingredients. They are thoughtfully and artistically put together to give both a feast for you eyes as well as your taste buds. To round things out a thoughtful list of local craft beers that match up well with several of the dishes is available. A little something for almost every taste. A quick scan of the liquor on the shelves also suggests that they are no slouches at your favorite cocktails. I noticed several tasty scotches along with a very special Aragnac. It was the second time eating there and I will back again soon and often.

A terrific 5-star dining experience. Excellent menu selection and food presentation with friendly and attentive service. The kitchen and service staff have made this establishment a real game changer among the top restaurants in Sidney-by-the-Sea!

Probably one of the worst dining experiences I have had. The waitress was rude the level of service poor and the food can be described as mediocre at best....will not be returning nor will I reccommend to anyone

This was an excellent view for the Canada day fireworks on the balcony. Service was friendly and quick. We had a few appetizers, the calamari was delicious and although the wings tasted good I wouldn’t say I was a fan of the way they were presented. To eat them I had to tear apart the entire attached wing and drummlet which ended up being quite messy and very greasy. Overall we enjoyed our experience and we will absolutely go back but not sure we will order the wings again.

We’ve been having meals at the Beacon Landing for years and it’s become more of a disappointment each time. Last night was the last time we’ll have dinner here. The $33 scallops was such a disappointment. I couldn’t believe what was presented in front of me was a thirty dollar meal. Once again the bar tender was unable to make a basic drink because simple ingredients were “missing”. If you want people to pay $$$ for meals, perhaps present them better...add less salt ....and how about updating the inside of this restaurant and step into 2018. Having one of the best locations on the water, you’d think the decor would be nicer than grandmas living room back in the 7O’s.

Peaceful, excellent chowder, gracious server (even when my hubby spilled his wine). Can't wait to go back.

Delicious food! Fantastic view. I was surprised that smoking was permitted on the patio, that was disappointing

Rude staff. Did not stay. Sat us by kitchen claiming all other tables were reserved.

Food and service was good however we would of liked to see more options that were not sea food. It was nice to see Alexander Kieth's on the beer menu.

3 children and three adults, service was great and the food was very good. The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is that the children's hamburgers were still a little rare in the middle, if the burgers are not going to be cooked to well done they should be asking what your preference is.

Service was excellent. Crab / shrimp cakes was a very pleasing appetizer. Prawn and Scallop gnocchi with avocado cream sauce and tomatoes was tasty. View is spectacular.

Great food, great staff! And the large wines are awesome!

First time I have been there for a while, it had got a bit tired. I saw the new menu on FB so thought would give it a try. Was impressed.

Dropped in for a meal before heading to the ferry. I am a rib expert and I thought the ribs I had were an 9 out of 10. Very tasty and tender. The coleslaw and fries were great and the presentation was awesome. I thought the server I had was attentive and friendly. I've been there before and enjoyed it and will go back again when I'm in the area.

Great food and best of all was gluten-free fish and chips.
