Just recently having moved to Sherwood Park and having my old fave pizza joints in Edmonton I needed to find a good pizza place when my boyfriend and I get our crave on. We have ordered Nitzq’s a couple times now and each time we weren’t disappointed. They have some nice options, the pizza tastes good and the delivery was fast. We will definitely be going back again.

This review is about the one located at 10 Ridgemont Way.
This is a Sherwood Park gem! The owners and staff are some of the most friendly generous people you will ever meet. I had a lot of interaction with them when I was a parent Volunteer for the Hot Lunch program at my children's elementary school. There was always a bright smile, a joke, and free pizzas for the parents.
Named for the owner's niece who had cancer but would always give out candies to the other patients at the Stollery, this place has kept her spirit alive. For a donation to the Stollery Children's Hospital, if it's not too busy, your child can go in the kitchen and make a personal sized pizza and get a free slushy soda drink. We've gone a few times with friends and the boys love it. You can see the big cheques all over the restaurant showcasing their various donations to the Stollery.
While our sons have yummy personalized pizzas my friend and I always order a Greek Salad which comes in a huge bowl (trust me you need to share this one) and a piece of garlic toast.
Apparently, there is another pizza place with a similar name, don't mix up the two. This one has the fantastic staff and a generous heart donating pizzas for many local events.
This was hands down the best pizza I've eaten. And I eat a lot of pizza. Crisp crust. Not to greasy. Fresh ingredients. Generous toppings. Plus the staff is very kind which is always great!
This place has improved immensely since first opening. Their pizza, fries, donair sauce, etc is fabulous! It now tastes like mouth watering awesomeness!! Best in Sherwood Park by far :)
Ordered pizza delivery for lunch today. It arrived hot and early. Delivery guy was pleasant, chatty and clean cut. Delivered 11 pizzas, boneless hot wings and dry ribs. Pizzas were flavorful and full of toppings. Hot wings were spicy ( and great) and dry ribs were crunchy.
Nitza's really isn't bad but this company needs to look at how to get fresher ripe vegetables for their pizzas. Several times now my tomatoes have pretty much been white. Fresh produce matters to me, and I'm not so inclined to try again. Not the worst, but not the best.
Nitza's WAY better. We always go here for Friday pizza night but decided to go to Maggiano's as the reviews from Urbanspoon were so good. We won't be back to Maggiano's. Nitza's pizza is so much tastier. They also do a lot in the community and have a great hot lunch program for schools.
Great Pizza. We love the old and the new Nitza's - delicious pizza can be found at both locations. Stay away from the donairs at the Ridgeway Dr. Nitza's though - this is not a real donair. Sorry Nitza's - that needs work.
A welcome addition to our neighbourhood. I have no vested interest in the Sh. Pk. Nitza's old vs new location battle. We impulsively stopped here recently on our way home. The service was courteous and quick. The pizza was hot, delicious and generally well-made. We felt like we got good bang for our buck- so much so we've been back 3 more times.

Weird.... My review mysteriously went missing. This is the WORST pizza in the park and I don't need to try their domains because the donair pizza is so bland and it tastes like Canned tomatoe sauce. Don't know who this restaurant thinks their fooling but I feel bad for your taste buds if you think this food is good! Whenever I think of Nitzas pizza I will ALWAYS think and be a patron to the Graham's location! The sooner this place goes under the better cause maybe I'll get a half decent restaurant beside my house. Would rather get frozen pizza from the macs across the street.

Do NOT even bother trying the new location it is NOT the same and it tastes like shit. When I think Nitzas this location will always be the one that I go to. The new one on wye is honestly the worst pizza I have ever had and anyone I personally know that went there says the same thing. They will go under pretty soon I figure. THIS IS THE BEST PIZZA IN THE PARK, I crave it all the time..... Like serious pregnant woman cravings or something their donaie sauce is amazing (as well as the pizza).... The owner is very very nice and so is staff. Pizza always arrives hot and fresh. Out with the new and stick with the old that you originally fell in love with!!
Love it - friendly staff, great hot pizza and lasagne, polite delivery driver very good value for very tasty food. Highly recommend!
Don't Believe What You Read. Okay people, time for some critical thinking. If a user signs up and only does two or three reviews (all for the Graham location and against this one) then maybe, just maybe, they're a fake account created by the Graham location.
I got a donair from this location. It was good, they were friendly (as are the people at the other location). This place gave me a free drink, which was nice, and the decor is probably better if you're taking the family out.
Best Pizza in Sherwood Park. I've turned into a regular customer. Staff is second to none. The pizza here destroys the old location which sells the bland uncooked food as mentioned above. I think they got their locations mixed up.
Hidden Gem. This place is great for take out pizza. The pizza is delivered to your house hot and fresh by friendly delivery drivers. My hubby likes a meaty pizza and over the phone I asked for something meaty...."just surprise us". Surprise us they did, the pizza was fabulous! I have to admit the place is outdated and could use a restaurant makeover, but the pizza is worth it!

Sherwood Nitza. This pizza place is the best i have had! The donair pizza is just so YUMMY I have never had a better donair pizza from anywhere else then there! The food is just so good & the pizzas are the best! Customer service there is crazy good, & they are fast but the taste is just out of this world good! This is now my fave pizza place YUMMY
Good pizza. I always order the Donair Pizza (comes with mushrooms, onions, fresh tomatoes, donair meat and sauce, etc.) and the Mexicana. Yesterday I tried some of the more common toppings: ham and pineapple, vegetarian, and meat lovers. They were also very good. It's a bit greasier than, say, Panago, but not overly so. There are tables that you can eat at, but I always order take out.
Fantasic food and service!. When I was younger I would always spend any money I had here to get a slice or two of pizza. The owner/staff are so friendly and the pizza is great! I really wish I didn't move away as Nitza's would definitely still be my choice of place for pizza.

Omar (the owner) suggested I try the Special Pepperoni last night. Yummmmm. Asiago cheese for a whole different flavour. Really good.
Greek salad is great too. Homemade dressing with loads of feta. Won't buy anywhere else in Sherwood Park.
My kid worked there and says Omar is very picky about having a clean kitchen. Works for me!
Just picked up my first pizza from nitzas. Amazing pizza! Pepperoni bacon onion tomato extra cheese crispy. Best "hearty " pizza I've had in Alberta yet!
We have not ordered from anywhere else since we moved to the park . Our fav are tropical and johns delight. Love it!
Gotta have the 6 cheese. Pizza is always good very consistent. Don't eat in though....restaurant is a little "aged!"

Refreshingly Good. This place came as a recommendation from a friend in the area and it did not disappoint. I've sampled pizzas in the Edmonton area and it's refreshing to finally find a good little homey-feeling take-out pizza-joint like this. As abundant as the big pizza chains are, they always seem to be missing something.
I got to sample the "Donair" and "Samson the Greek" pizzas. Both were quite good and the crust was cooked through nicely; crisp but not dry. The dough appeared to be pan fried but it wasn't really greasy and didn't leave me feeling gooed-out afterwards like some pan pizzas have.
The donair pizza was well done overall. The meat was in decent quantity but was lacking a bit in character (spice and texture). The tomatoes and onions were nice and fresh, as was the sauce, which was a new variation for me. I'm used to a sweeter sauce with a thicker consistency but I really liked what they offered. It was almost creamy in texture without being to rich or runny and they used just the right amount.
The Greek pizza was quite nice as well. The tomato sauce had presence without over-whelming the medley of vegetables and cheeses. The feta could have been a bit more pungent but it was still tasty.
Overall, the food was pretty darned good. It's of likeness to the ethnic pizza shops from my home town on the east coast. No it's not thin-crust or authentic Italian, but it's your neighborhood take-out place and for what it is, it's great pizza. I'll be back and I'll be looking to try new things from their menu.

Moved to the Park 7 months ago & found out about Nitza's via Urbanspoon. Reviews are bang on - have only had takeout (never dined in) & the service has always been fast & friendly. Love the chicken ranch, donair and another fave (as of tonight) is the vegetarian revenge.
We buy there often. Best pizza I've had in a long time. Nitza's a great guy too.

Simply the Best. Best pizza in the Park hands down. If you've never tried their Donair pizza, you are definitely missing out. Decor? What decor? It's a pizza place that spends it's money on good ingredients, not furniture.
Love this place!. After reading these reviews, yes I do agree that the interior is terrible, however the great food does definatly make up for it! I absolutely love the donair pizza as well as their donairs which are reasonably priced for the quality and quantity you recieve, but my all time favorite that I'd highly recommend would be the "Chicken Ranch Pizza" !! I've tried similar pizzas from Pizza 73 / Panago and they were terrible compared to Nitza's ! Great food , Great service !

Mmm Mmm Good!. This pizza is a to die for, delishiouse piece of heaven! I have not been a pizza fan but a couple of days a go i tried a pieace of you donair pizza and i died and went to heaven! keep up the good work on your delishious pizzas and dont stop makeing them! thankyou for evreything you offer.
Wrong about the manager!. The manager /Owner is a great guy. he always adresses us by name. The food is always great and very reasonably priced.
A few years back I had a fight with cancer. Luckily, I beat it.
Before I got sick, we would order from Nitza at least 2 times a month. When I got sick we stopped. Once I was better and could eat pizza again, 18 months had passed. My wife finally called in an order and he asked what happened? Why have we not called in so long?
My wife told him and the next 2 times he would not accept any payment. Even after we we're demanding he let us pay, it was hard for him to take it.
He is a sweetheart and a great guy. And he makes great pizza!
Great Alternative. In Sherwood Park there's only a few options for pizza - Panago, Royal, and Nitza's. If cheap and quick are what your after and you don't care about quality go for panago... but if quality is what you're after - Nitza's and Royal are your two best bets. Both offer great sauce and toppings and crusts that don't feel mass produced. In my opinion Both are great tasting pizzas but Nitza's pizza is much more reasonably priced. I haven't actually been to their restaurant so I can't comment on that - but their home delivery is curteous and prompt. 4 stars
Take the food and go!. I've eaten from Nitza's a couple times...the donair pizza is absolutely to die for. I've also had their Donairs before, and they were quite well done for a place that doesn't use a spit for them (at least I didn't see one).
The food is wonderful, but the interior leaves much to be desired. The tables are falling apart, and the decore has about as much personality as a junior high cafeteria. Don't let the look of the place hold you back from trying it, just don't plan to eat in. Thank goodness for takeout or delivery!
We did take-out. 6 cheese pizza was amazing and so was the service. Our first time there and we'll go back.
