Review The Galley Grill - Shawnigan Lake

Family run restaurant / Marina. Good honest food. An institution for breakfast, lunch for residents of the area. Very busy on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Good view of the lake. Gas station for boats.

Friendly service but miserable menu. Now is called Merridale on the Lake. Can't understand why Merridale has put their name on it as there's no ciders on the menu. VERY limited menu and expensive for what it is. Nice location overlooking the marina and out to the lake.

My friend and I enjoyed our lunch today. Our food was very fresh, plentiful, made from scratch and the price was right. My mushroom soup was gourmet, the rueben perfect, my friends burger was A+ and oh yes, the homemade blue cheese salad dressing is wonderful . A beautiful location on the lake this funky place is great for me to meet my friends from Victoria for lunch. All the best to the new owners

Great view. Staff was friendly. Service was reasonably quick. Prices were good/ cheap. Food was ok for the price. Kids liked the BBQ wings. Mac n cheese was good, onion rings good. Fries, fish n chips, beef dip and salmon not that good - but edible. We had leftover fries which is unusual for our group.

WE love going to the Galley during the summer, they are fabulous people. I love the crab cake wraps!
