Review Hong Kong Restaurant - Sault Ste. Marie

Was staying the night in the Soo after a long day of driving and was starving. Ordered a combo from here and could barely eat the food as it was so disgusting. The chicken balls were so dry it actually cut the inside of my mouth. I have never had a chicken ball I didn't like... until now!. Everything was overcooked, bland, dry and a complete waste of money. After one bite of everything, I had to throw it all out and go find other food. Would not order from here.

Delicious food, friendly service. I will go back to try more of what they have to offer. Authentic Chinese, can't go wrong if that's what you like.

Hong Kong has not whethered the pandemic well. Got takeout tonight and disappointed in the food. Egg rolls overcooked and peppery. Not as we have had when dining in. Rest of the food lacking in flavour, blah. Enjoyed $40 meal last week at Wachy Wings much more.

They put my order in a paper bag and did not seal one of the lids properly. Got home, lifted bag and the bottom gave out, completely saturated. Spilled every where in the vehicle. Called them to illustrate what happened they returned my call 3 hrs later and said, sorry, it left here fine. I had to clean up the mess in the car and Hong Kong wouldn't even offer to replace the item. Terrible Customer Service. Not ordering from them again.

Food is good. Called order in after noon for it to be ready for 5:00 and had to wait another 23 minutes for the order.

My family have been faithful patrons of this restaurant since the 90's. On many occasions we have waited an hour plus + for our meal, but It is so worth the wait for fresh hot food. The staff members have always been thorough in explaining the contents of the dishes. This is helpful for many who don't know what they are ordering and are expecting a mall food court or buffet style meal. As with all restaurants in town you have to leave room for error, and I've learned that if you are not satisfied with a dish you received here, the staff is very accommodating to correct the situation to your convenience. In today's trying times I appreciate and give recognition to all food industry workers trying their best to meet high demands. Thank-you for all you do. Oh, and the tree and all the decorations are always uplifting to the spirits 🎄❄️♥️🍀🐇🐦🌷🌸🇨🇦🏖️🏊🍂🍃🎃❄️

I have always enjoyed the food that has been great for at least 45 years

Placed a 2 item pick up order at 5 pm. At 6:15 called to check on order and was told “ we are very busy, I will call you when it’s ready”. Since I was in the area I walked in to check on it again at 6:30. Same answer. No apology for the long wait, no offer to check on it just a curt “ I’ll call you when it’s ready” Finally got my order At 6:53. Beef with broccoli was lacking beef, Moo goo guy pan was mostly celery. Taste was ‘helped’ with soy sauce and hot sauce. Conclusion?!...don’t bother
