Review Ambassador Fries - Sault Ste. Marie

Heard these were the best fries in Sault Ste Marie, so had to try them.....been back 3 times in the last week and have yet to be disappointed. Prices look high, but the servings are so generous that you more than get what you paid for. Very tasty sausages and burgers too.

Were travelling up north craving poutine - checked Google and decided to go here after seeing the 4.9 stars and that they open at 11:30am. Arrived at 11:40 and saw the closed sign up, assumed they were in the process of opening. Sat in the parking lot for 2 minutes when a man (the owner?) came up and said "can I help you?" (way he asked made it seem like we were trespassers on his property - kind of off putting) I rolled my window down and said we were wondering if the place is open, he said "no we're not. We're never open on labor Day. We're closed." Very dismissive. I said okay and we drove off. This was today, September 10th. Labor Day is September 6th. Maybe he mixed up his dates...? An unpleasant experience that could have been more welcoming had he been warmer to talk to.

Me and two brothers/companions just had the poutine here, Unequivocally agreed 5 stars One of us lost a bet for solo finishing the large in one sitting Definitely gives you great portion size for your dollar!

Hands down the best fries in Sault Ste Marie!!! Super friendly owner and staff. It's not summer until Ambassador fries is open!
