Review Burger Don - Sault Ste. Marie

Had a great Don burger! The last time I went, years ago, it was not the best food for anyone in our whole group but it was phenomenal yesterday!!! I can't seem to add another review from June 19 but we had Sam as our server and she was awesome. She made the best Caesar I've ever had!!!

I popped in there last Sunday mid-afternoon as I missed my bus and had an hour to kill but was very hungry. Heard from my coworkers that the food was great and so I walked in. The waitress was very friendly and offered me a immediate seat with the menu. I ordered the (correctly if I am wrong) the donut burger with fries/gravy. My order came piping hot and looked real good and I had problems deciding how to cut the burger in the size I can handle but ended up giving up and grabbed the whole burger. Waitress came by to check in how was my meal and replied sticky which brought a giggle and she brought me some wipes. The fries were out of this world with the right amount of seasoning and texture to die for. One of the best tasting fries I ever had in years. Would recommend this place to anyone.

My partner and I did a takeout order as our hotel was very close to the restaurant. We ordered online and picked it up hot and fresh, 15 minutes later. Everything was so delicious. Big fan of the 'smash Burger' type patty (thinner, crispy edges) and the poutine was huge and so delicious!! Will definitely visit again if we are ever in the area again.

Jesse is the best server/bartender I have met in a long time. Terrific burgers. Homemade patties, nothing frozen. One of the best burgers you will find literally anywhere. It's a former Tim Hortons but they've done a great job with the interior and while small, it fits with the theme. The prices were surprisingly reasonable and Jesse and the rest of the servers are prompt, professional and seem to genuinely love their jobs. As someone else said "run, don't walk to the burger don. You won't be disappointed

Tried the burger Don out after a friend suggested it. While not the perfect place to eat, the atmosphere is pretty nice. Burger was great, seems like they make their own patties here. I had the Jalapeno jack, and my deep Fried jalapenos were soggy as heck. No crunch. Everything else was great. Bacon garlic aioli that came with the fries was really good too. I'd eat here again. Not a bad bite.

Run!!! Don't walk! Food, drinks and service by Jesse were fabulous! Had the strawberry Margarita - heads up that it isn't frozen - it was good. I also had the raspberry mojito which was ammmmmmazing. I'd pick the mojito over the Margarita every day if the week! We shared shredded chicken tacos (delicious) and the slider app. I am not a sliders person but these were top notch! We got the chicken, veggie and 2 Don burger. All were absolutely fantastic in their own ways. High quality food and ingredients.

Excellent dining experience. Food was fantastic but Lindy was even better. Really on her game with super recommendations, 4 sliders, portobello veggie burger and breaded haddock burger. She also kept the drinks coming and her manners and professionalism abounded. Thank you Lindy. We appreciate how welcomed you made us feel on our first visit and we’ll be sure to come back on our next trip through.

Always get the Southern fried chicken and never disappointed. The sweet potato fries add to the perfect meal with a nice cold one. Highly recommended The chicken tacos too!

Ordered out, the nacho platter, loaded fries, southern chicken burger, and build a burger with a specialty salad. The nacho platter was loaded and of quality products in which was absolutely delicious, my southern fried chicken burger was unbelievable! The loaded fries were just that, "loaded". My girlfriends burger looked stunning and she loved it, her specialty salad was very tasty, coming from a guy that doesn't really care for salad. Through and through, this was a great experience, quality food and quantity, portions were huge which in my books is 5 star any day, not to mention the food was delicious for a great price. Love to see a home grown business do well, but could you expect any thing different with the quality of food they serve? Thanks for the amazing meal, I will be 100% recommending you to everyone and you'll have me as a returning customer in the future! Cheers �

My husband and I decided to try Burger Don for our supper. It was so awesome. The food was fantastic and the waitress (Kate) was the best. We teased her and said it was well worth the 7 hour drive. We will be back, and will recommend Burger Don to anyone travelling to stop for a meal. We had the Don Burger and the Doughnut Burger. The deep fried ice cream for dessert was excellent as well.

Was really unimpressed, everyone in the group was disappointed with their food. The slaw they use isn't anything like any other slaw I've tasted (in a bad way) and certainly didn't suit the fried chicken burger I had nor the hotdog my sister had. The chicken itself was meh, so was the caesar salad. The fries and onion rings were alright, but nothing special or memorable. Essentially, everything is hovering around average and I honestly think fast food would be more worthwhile, taste wise. The staff was friendly, but didn't wow me, the decor is alright, but not memorable in any way. They have a decent craft beer selection compared to other restaurants in the area. Overall, there's nothing to go out of your way for here.

1st time there was good. 2nd time there extremely disappointed. Food was tasteless and had to return the drink. The waitress was nice but the bartender was rude and snotty. Not to mention no lettuce in the salad. WTH. Never Ever again will I ever step foot in this place nor will I recommend it to anyone. Save your money people

Good service and the waitress was nice, funny and social with us. The food was awesome and cooked perfectly to my standards. We waited maybe 5 minutes before we had food on the table. Would recommend to anyone who likes a good burger for sure. =)

It was my first time going to Burger Don and after reviewing the menu, I ordered the doughnut burger. The bartender suggested I add peanut butter. It was the perfect combination of savory and sweet. I loved it.

My first time at Burger Don , I selected the 3 tacos meal with house salad and it was a delighted meal. Excellent service plus had a kind of non alcoholic beer. A+

Stopped by on saturday evening to celebrate my birthday. We had a little bit of a wait, but it was worth it! The food was excellent! I will definitely be back.

Burger Don is by far my favorite burger. I’ve eaten lots of burgers, from lots of places, but none compare to Burger Don.

Food was great , caesers were delish & my parents really enjoyed your Monday night beer special ! Ohhh and of course our server Amanda was more than amazing . Always a great experience !

Amazing burgers frys cold beer. Kinda of a small place but great inside. Love the buns they use i got "The Don" was massive prices are good as well.

I loved the char broiled beef patties. So flavorful! And so many options to top with. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu as i will return!

Excellent service. Fast searing even though it was s busy evening. Burgers and onion rings: tasty and filling. Great value. Selection of cold beer beverages to go with your burger is great! We will be back.

Burger Don made us an offer we couldn't refuse. The service and food were incredible. The burger and fried pickles were some of the best we've ever had. I just wish we had one of these in Michigan!

Good food, I had lamb burger and they let me taste three before I chose one.

First time there yesterday and it was so good. Food and service tops. Only down side was I have a really sore knee and a lot of chairs are her stool type so very uncomfortable

So delicious. The build your own burger was a great treat. The onion rings were tasty and so crispy. The service was super. I was so impressed that the waitress at the next table went out of her way to make her customer happy by taking her wine which she was not a fan of and making it into a sangria which she loved. Now that's great service.
