Review Low & Slow Smoked Fusion Bbq - Sault Ste. Marie

Really good authentic southern bbq right here in the Soo. This place is doing it right. My brother-in-law and I shared the Platter for 2 - all five meats (ribs, brisket, pulled pork, sausage and chicken) and three sides (slaw, baked beans, fries). It was all awesome. Go here now.

Great food. Ribs are tender and taste. Fish tacos with fries are cooked perfect. Jambalaya taste great with little spicy.

I would give this establishment 3.5 stars. I ordered my food to go. I ordered the pulled pork poutine. Everything tasted fresh however the meat and gravy had 0 flavour not even salt. They didn't even include salt in the bag. However, I will say the execution of what they're trying to do is good, I feel a little salt a seasoning would make the dish a 5 star dish because without it the poutine isn't worth the price.

I've had lots of BBQ from all over the world and am from Georgia, in the USA where some people consider the heart of BBQ country and I cook "Low and Slow" on my many different grills. This place has some of the Best BBQ I have ever enjoyed! The Ribs are so tender, juicy and flavorful as is the pulled pork, brisket and chicken. The sausage is not very juicy but is excellent tasting. Nothing in this place comes from Cisco. Everything is made fresh and from scratch. If you want award winning BBQ, look no farther than "Low and Slow "

Friendly servers and good food. Beware their platter for two was designed for giants! Brisket was a favourite, as well as the corn bread and slaw. Appreciate how they’ve tried to make patio a comfortable place to dine.

I wasnt planning on writing a review but I had to after I started eating. THIS IS THE BEST PULLED PORK YUMMMMMM. We ordered the pulled pork sandwich, 8.5 outta 10 😁 Pulled pork tacos, 8 outta 10 👍🏻 Pulled pork mac, 9 outta 10 🤤 We got extra ketchup and extra bbq sauce for our dine in meal and ordered Caesars to go with dinner. Service is quick and food is amazing. They were featured on the show "you gotta eat here" featuring John Catucci and hes right, YOU GOTTA EAT HERE. definitely New Orleans vibes with the food and fantastic BBQ. I'm gonna try the Jambalaya and a Platter for 2 next time in here. LOVED IT! Good Job Folks!

This place serves food at a reasonable price but that's about it. Took over an hour to go from arriving to served. They didn't take our order until 20 min in and told us after 45 min that the order still wasn't in because they have 1 machine and it was being used to pay. They claimed it was super busy but it was not even full there. The food tasted ok at a cheap price but nothing to come back to. The wait and extremely basic service was very unfortunate.

Checked it out as it was feautured on "You gotta eat here " The Appie canoe was a lil disappointing, was expecting cooler things on it but wasnt terrible. My favorite item was the smoked sausage . Absolutely delicious! The platter for two was decent tasting but i found relatively small for a $55 price tag,not sure if you ask for some sauces for your meats or if that's an option or not.

I'm totally impressed with the food at Low & Slow. We had the Barbecue platter for 4 people, everything was amazing. Every piece of smoked meat I tried on the platter was done to perfection , the flavour was mouth watering and tender. The side dishes that came with the dinner were also a hit. Then we topped it off with desert. We had the trio platter, loved it. The service was great and friendly. I'm looking forward to the next time we go.

From the moment I arrived, my waitress was rude to me. I have been dining out for more years than I'd like to say and I have never received such poor service or ever had a waitress/waiter be blatantly rude to me. What a horrible evening!

Stopped here the other day on a camping trip to Pancake Bay. The service was great from the moment we walked in the door. We ordered the shrimp Po'boy, the smoked sausage Po'boy and the Mac and cheese. Everything was delicious and the multiple BBQ sauces and vinegar was just perfect. The seasoned fries were also way too good and were eaten so fast that we almost didn't even have time to breathe. If I'm ever back in Sault Ste Marie I would definitely stop at this Southern gem. Cheers to the chef and cooks.

I have eaten here 3 times now and each time have tried something different. This place is incredible. I am big fan of the jerk chicken and bbq chicken. The fries are amazing, especially with the vinegar on them. Give it a try! It's goooooood. PS. the service is great too!

Our experience was okay but waitress forgot to give us the sauces that come with a platter. Food was excellent!!!

Good food and good beer and super friendly waitress - Sophie - who was a total doll. We got there late so they were out of a few items, but enjoyed our 2nd choices. Pulled Pork was nicely seasoned with a variety of BBQ sauce choices. Potato salad was quite tasty and enjoyed the Poutine as well. Very nice local beer choices as well. Thanks Sophie!

I had a rack of ribs ½ dry and ½ wet. Mac and cheese and beans. The ribs were super great. I liked wet better - tender and great sauce. Mac and cheese had lots of cheese, bacon and a bit of jalapeño. Beans good.

Arrived at 850pm got seated told the server we had 2 more people joining us. She didn't bother to ask us if we wanted drinks while we waited. 915pm the 2 other people arrive, but still no server. We walked out at 940pm because they closed at 10pm and we didn't even get a drink yet. Terrible, don't recommend to anyone !

I've had the pleasure of eating at a number of bbq joints in the southern U.S. from the Carolinas to Arkansas. Some fancy, some regular. I absolutely love good bbq. I search out the places that locals like to eat. When Low and Slow first opened, their food was pretty good. Unfortunately, my recent experiences there tell me something has changed. Six of us went there for dinner the other night. The food was mediocre. We ordered the combo platters. Some of the meats were dry and tough and there really wasn't much variety in the tastes between different meats. Deserts and the sweet tea were quite good. The real black mark on the evening was the service. It was terrible. They weren't very busy. I'd estimate that at no time while we were there was it more than about 60% full and I saw 3 servers, yet it still took 20 minutes to get menus and over 40 minutes to get our first round of drinks. The food took about as along. For a bbq joint, that's just not right. After we were done, one of us gave our server some feedback. It turns out that our server was an owner. That was a shocker. I did not hear the conversation, so cannot comment on specifics. Unfortunately, this was not an isolated experience for me at Low and Slow. My previous 2 visits were similar; mediocre food and slow service. This was strike 3. I will not go back.

Louisiana girl craving some southern fare. This place DID NOT disappoint! Best cornbread and collard greens ever! Ribs so good, made me wiggle on my seat Whole family enjoyed EVERYTHING from the food, the service, the atmosphere; all around GREAT! This place is a must if you're in the area

The brisket and greens didn't have any flavor. The sausage was good though!

Went for the first time today and the food was amazing and the waitress was friendly. I will definitely recommend you to family n friends

We shared a platter of four (as a party of four) at Low & Slow, and it was great! The brisket on the platter was too fatty for me, but the other four meats were fantastic - I particularly enjoyed the chicken and pulled pork. The cornbread was in need of some butter, but the other sides, including delicious fries, were great!

Good southern BBQ. Friendly service. Has one local brew on draught. In a city that doesn't offer much variety in food. This is a breath of fresh air.

Canadian BBQ?. Was a skeptic walking in, but was quickly convinced that Canada can do BBQ. Sampler platter was good from the baked beans to the ribs. The waitress could have been more attentive and could have actually had a personality. With that said she does not overshadow the great food. Highly recommend for BBQ enthusiasts.

This place was great, and lots of fun! We shared a sampler platter for two. All the meat was done nicely and the sauces had a strong kick to them - very flavourful. Homemade cornbread was delicious! The portions were large, so we had enough to bring home for dinner the next night as well.

Food was great, I wouldn't have a problem stopping here again for lunch. Service acceptable and we ate and were out quickly which is great on a working lunch

Brisket was good but it came out cold. Came out pretty good the second time. Service was pretty disappointing, had to go to the bar for drink refills and had to wait a very long time to give server order. She also had a very bad attitude.

Stopped in for lunch, heard they had good BBQ. I can confirm they have great BBQ! The brisket was excellent! I love the fact that they have homemade sauce selection and let you sauce the meat. I hate over sauced Q, and made in house sauce is the best if they know what there doing and they do. The burnt end poitine was a meal in itself. I could live on that alone. Highly recommended!!!

This place is off the charts. Try the brisket.
