The food was very tasty. The best wonton soup I have had in a long time, the broth had flavour and so did the wontons! My thai coconut chicken had lots of meat in it and the flavour was lifted with lime. So well done, we will be visiting again!
When a place is as old as this, there is a reason they're still in business after all these years. There's some hit and miss, so listen up and you'll have a good time.
Chicken balls are massive, think christmas orange. GET.
Crispy ginger beef, get it, every time.
Spring rolls, GET IT, their the only place that makes them fresh by hand. They have won awards for these.
Chicken fried rice is a must, it won't last.
Chicken chow mein is a pass- get the shanghai noodle instead.
Egg rolls, pass.
Lemon chicken is hit and miss, but u get loads.
Honestly this place is too generous to me, it must cut into their profits because there's so much value. One thing is for sure it's got me coming back. The service is always great, the owners are kind, I've been there so often i have watched their son grow. Oh, and if you get a parking ticket they offer to pay a portion, like who does that, amazeballs.
Typically they have good to great food. A few times we got a chicken dish that had mystery meat in it, which put us off. We go back though because it's reasonable, mostly good food, great spring and cold rolls, and we can always get a table.
One really odd thing we've noticed tho is that the staff will come by and ask how the food is, and on two separate occasions we told 3 different staff that there was an issue with food (once they didn't ask how spicey we wanted and the dish was made very hot, which didn't go down well, and once they forgot to add what we had requested to the dish) and on both occasions the staff just said "oh. Ok" and walked away, or once they actually argued with us, then said 'well we did cook it, it's in kitchen, but we didn't add it". When we didn't eat that dish, and said it wasn't what we ordered, they just asked if we wanted to take it home. very odd. Fair enough if u don't care if customers are satisfied with their food, but then just don't bother asking.
I've tried quite a few things here but the one menu item I've enjoyed most is just their basic noodle bowl. It's always fresh and tasty. They have good friendly staff and its family run so it's not a surprise if one of their kids will serve you. I don't mind at all though. It's a good restaurant but there are better places to go.

I have been ordering from this restaurant for quite a long time and have not had a bad experience. My brother lives on this food. Probably my favourite spring rolls in the city because they are so crunchy on the outside and meaty on the inside. Awesome chicken rice noodle soup also. Not my favourite Vietnamese place but definitely near the top.
We've had great service here...very helpful and easy going staff. Good menu, good food. Usually pretty busy, but to this point it's always been a good experience dining here.
Food was good for the most part. Hot & sour soup was not that great. It was more sour than anything. Vermicelli noodle bowls were really good, both the charbroiled chicken and beef but not enough fish sauce. Every table that ordered it was asking for more fish sauce. Service was good. Our server was really tentative. The only thing that really bothered me was the fact that they answered their phone on speaker so everyone heard what the person on the phone was ordering and where they lived. That was weird!
Went here for lunch, the place was packed including a large table of hungry looking firemen. Ordered the pork spring rolls (which are huge and taste amazing!) and the pad thai special. I ate all I could and still brought enough home for me and my partner for dinner that night. Great value, food comes out screaming hot, and the staff are friendly. This is a Saskatoon gem. I hope they never change.
Awesome.. Affordable, prompt service and the tastiest noodle bowl in Saskatoon - by far.
Quick and Large Portions. Visited Saigon Rose today with a co-worker after haven't having been here for many years. The pad thai was really good, though maybe a little oily. But the prices are decent and the portions are huge -- I have 1/2 left for lunch tomorrow. The service was very friendly and quick and I'd recommend this place as a great lunch spot.
