This is the original Vietnamese restaurant in Saskatoon. Rose, the owner and head chef, introduced Saskatoon to Vietnamese food over three decades ago. If I want to have a quick noodle bowl, Saigon Rose is my destination. I’ve been going to this restaurant for years and I’ve never been disappointed. Reasonable prices, quick service and good food. Recommend, especially for the budget conscious who still want an evening out.
I would like to say this is a hidden gem in downtown, one of the top Vietnam restaurant in Saskatoon. It locates quite close to my office so I always have my lunch there. Here is what I recommend as secret menu: one order of pho and ask the waitress to replace the sliced beef with their beef stew. You will be satisfied with the tender juicy beef chunks. Combined with the savory beef broth and silky thin rice noodles, it will fulfill your hungry body.
Service was quick. Had the special bird's nest, ginger beef, and shrimp pork rice noodle soup. All came hot and fresh. Was the best bird's nest and ginger beef I've had in the city. Sauces were perfect! The original owner is back and it shows. Amazing food and would highly recommend!
We have been here twice in the last month and the food has been very good. It's fresh and I believe it's the best noodle bowl in Saskatoon! The beef satay noodle soup had me drinking every last drop!
Took my mom out for a sunday dinner (25 June /17). She is a neat freak and a picky eater. But all went well and it was amazing to see her eat Vietnamese with a voracious appetite.

So tasty! If you haven't been since Rose came back you should go see her. Rose runs a clean restaurant and the food is so good! Vietnamese food is too hard for me to make at home, so I'll let Rose make it instead.
I love the Vietnamese rolls on vermicelli! This is all that I have ordered from here. I have been a customer for approx 5+ years. The staff are great. They are friendly and know how to treat a customer. I don't think that their prices have increased since I have been going there, and the food has not decreased.
Ordered the Spicy Vietnamese Soup and Coco Chicken. Both were quite good although I would have liked the soup to be hotter and the Coco Chicken to have more sauce. It's a relaxed atmosphere and the service was fantastic.
I have been going here for almost 40 years (starting back at their original location) and every time I'm back in town I stop here, It's still the best spring rolls I've ever had, It brings back a lot of great memories and the rest of the food is great as well! But seriously try the spring rolls of you haven't, most Vietnamese restaurants use egg roll wrapper but I believe Saigon Rose use rice paper wrapper, so crispy and flavorful!
A tasty Vietnamese stop, Saigon Rose has a unique menu featuring a wide range of Vietnamese eats. The interior is simple but nice, definitely better for casual or impromptu meals than fancy events. A good option for those in Saskatoon looking for Vietnamese.

I am so happy to eat at Siagon Rose, YES it is Open again!! You have to try the spring rolls and dry ribs for a nice light lunch. Delicious!! My new lunch time treat.
I'm so sad Saigon Rose is temporarily closed. I like to send it to my parents' every now and again. I hope it opens soon. I love the shrimp and chicken salad, the charbroiled chicken vermicelli and the satay chicken. The prices are reasonable. Whenever I visit Saskatoon, Saigon Rose is a must do.
Really miss this place. I am in Thailand now and have to say this was one of my favourite restaurants back at home. If Rose is back, even better. Such a kind woman.
