Review Smitty's Family Restaurant - Saskatoon

Lawson Heights Saskatoon. Our go to restraunt. Best value the early bird for $7.00. Just right for us but coffee high priced at $2.50. They provide carafe, however, which makes price far more reasonable. Coffee is good. Consistent quality at all places we visited. Short line ups.

My family and myself went there a couple weeks ago and again today we will not be going back. They have really cut back I told the waitress I was not happy with the amount of food I got in my plate and she didn't do anything. I understand with the cost of groceries they have to put their price up but do not put their price up and cut back at the same time.

The service has gone done. I was there right at 8 am and they didn't open the time they said they are open to be fact they opened 2 minutes late. Also the last time I came I usually never order breakfast but I did and I tried the early bird and it was gross. The sausage tasted like it was 5 days old. I don't like to be a Karen about this but I had to warn everyone how bad to has gotten.

Great service every time we go there. Polite staff, quick service, and great food. Keep up the awesome work!

EXCELLENT PLACE FOR BREAKFAT OR BRUNCH MENU. SUPER HELPFUL SERVERS. I AM AN VEGETARIAN BUT EAT EGGS AND THEY WERE ABLE TO CUSTOMISE A MEAL FOR ME WHICH WAS VERY TASTY "INTERNATIONAL BREAKFAST". GREAT AMBIENCE TOO!!! THEY HAVE GREAT BLUEBERRY SYRUP TOO

Smitty's is still a failsafe choice when I'm in Saskatoon. Pleasant staff, good menu, reasonable prices. A pity so many of their locations in Saskatoon have closed!

What a horrible place to eat. We went for the all you can eat fish and chips and had trouble finding the fish in all the batter. Then I had a long hair in a piece of fish which could not have been ours as no one at the table has hair. The management could not be bothered to come and apologize or not charge for the meal. Never will eat there again

The atmosphere, friendliness of staff, quality of food and the service are all consistently good. Always our breakfast place, sometimes our lunch/supper place. The Steak Sandwich is good!

I really like to go to smitty's in lawson mall cuz when I'm going for coffee with friends cuz I know I'm going to get an amazing breakfast. I also like the fact that staff recognizes me and automatically seats me in the area I usually sit. Although it really doesn't matter where you sit, the staff is friendly and helpful.

We really like eating here, the staff is very accommodating and friendly. The food is great. My husband has stomach cancer so sometimes it's hard for him to eat but finds the turkey dinner perfect. Great place to come to

Smitty's Lawson Heights is my favourite breakfast restaurant. The atmosphere is nice, the food is good, the price is reasonable and the staff is amazingly efficient and friendly.

When our friend from Birmingham England had a craving for bacon, we decided on Smitty's at Lawson Heights Mall because it was close and never disappoints. She loved the bacon and thought her eggs were done to perfection. Thank you Smitty's.

The food are substandard and overpriced. Charge full price for a side!! Had to wait while there are a number of tables available. We will not visit this restaurant again.

It was tasteless and greasy. I had the bacon cheeseburger and fries. Not even the bacon could save that burger. The bacon tasted like nothing and they had some kind of sauce on it that just made the burger soggy.

Terrible service. My husband and I went to the Lawson Heights Mall Smitty's location and had a very disappointing experience, the evening of Tuesday, November 4th, 2014. We were seated as soon as we came in and given menus, and that's where it ended. We sat there for close to 15 minutes without the waiter even returning to bring us water. The restaurant was dead quiet and we could hear staff visiting up front. After a few more awkward minutes, we put our jackets back on and proceeded to leave the restaurant. We walked right out without staff even acknowledging that we were there, or that we were leaving. Apparently our waiter forgot that he had seated customers in a restaurant that was having a very slow evening, with next to no customers inside! Never in my life have I had that experience where restaurant staff "forget" that they've have customers, and fail to come back to take their order, or even ask what you'd like to drink. That was by far the poorest service I've ever experienced in a restaurant. I could see if they were very busy, but they definitely were not. We were forgotten about and ignored by Smitty's staff, and will not be returning. Another restaurant that was capable of serving customers got our business instead that evening.

Terrible!!!!! Do not go here!!!!! Frozen vegetables... Plain gross rice had to add salt and pepper and still couldn't eat it... Everything was cold!!!! Worst meal I've had out...!!!!!!!

Have had breakfast here numerous time. Food has always been decent. Would return. Usually have to wait for a table when I go. They are very busy on the weekends

Wasnt bad. Qualitys gone down a bit, but the foods edible, tho i kinda regreted going when i saw brad, who used to run the one in centre mall was there, i know many people that worked as dishwashers/cooks at the centre mall store, and he told them if there were any unopened peanut butter, jam, tartar sauce etc on the dirty plates, too wipe them off and save them to reuse, thats pretty gross and extremely cheap

Great Burger!. Bar none. There burgers are great. I have gone to approx 20 burger places and they rate in the top 3. On Wednesday theres a special any burger and a pint for 8.99. Cant beat it. You will not be disappointed!!

Pretty much what you'd expect.. Only went because somebody made me. I'm such a snob. Standard fare - you know - that stuff that "family" restaurants serve that isn't quite fast food, but it's not like eating out either. meh.<br/><br/>However, we had the best server ever. I should say it like this: The Best Server Ever! Attentive, funny, quick, seemed like she genuinely cared about us. Some "high end" restaurant should snatch her up - too bad I can't remember her name.
