Review Keo's Kitchen - Saskatoon

Madhurja Ghosh
Great food and environment. We ordered Chicken cashew, Crying Tiger and Fried rice. First two items had rice with them. Even without the added rice , as we ordered the fried rice, it was more than enough for 2 people. They adjusted the spice level to perfection. All in all a great experience.

Keos has my favorite pad Thai in the city- and since I'm feeling under the weather I wanted to get the level 4 spicy pad Thai to help clear out my sinuses. Level 4 is usually close to unbearable for me. When I received it I could tell just by looking at it and smelling it that it was not spicy at all. Not even a little. I could see barely any red chili on the noodles. I had to grab a bottle of hot sauce from my fridge and mix that in. The delivery also cost $10 which is probably the most I've paid to have food delivered in my life- so it was incredibly disappointing to spend *so much money* and not get what you ordered. :(

Absolutely amazing food! The staff were able to cater to my dietary restrictions due to a chronic illness, the service was amazing and the atmosphere is perfect!
RY Yan
The service is okay, but the food is really sweet and super spicy. The curry taste like syrup. If you prefer sweet food or spicy food, you can give it a try. Personally, I wouldn’t go back.

Keo’s is one of my favourite restaurants in Saskatoon, and is the best Asian restaurant in the city. The masaman curry and green curry are delicious and the menu has a large selection. The portion sizes are very generous and the prices are quite reasonable. The restaurant is frequently busy, and for good reason: great food and good staff. Definitely a must-try.

The food here is excellent and the service is brilliant. One of the best Pad Thai I've ever tried in my life

Got the pad Thai and pork laap salad (swimming in liquid). The pad Thai is my usual favourite but today it tasted off, like something had gone bad, maybe the oil? It was very greasy and tasted nothing like it usually does. The laap salad was very salty and had so much liquid with it... unfortunate and sad birthday dinner. Ordered online and took 1.5hrs.

Had the pad sa eew was not bad tasting although there was zero spice for a level of 5, Asked for hotsauce in which also had zero spice and than was brought chili oil which was also not spicy at all was grateful they eventually fixed it with Thai chilli peppers. Ended up getting food poisoning which was very disappointing. Not sure why they have spice levels if they just put no spice .. assuming they think people cannot handle it and put zero. Was looking forward to spicy food.

Delicious food and fantastic service! Definitely the best Laotian/Thai spot in Saskatoon. I’m been to Laos and Thailand before — this food is the real deal

Just ordered Keo’s for pick up. Wow! So delicious and fresh and such great flavours. We had their Pho Soup, Red Curry with coconut rice and Pad Thai and everything was phenomenal. They did forget to give us our spring rolls we paid for but I’m sure we can grab en extra order next time. Highly recommend eating here!

I have found the quality of the pho and Tom kha Kai to have gone down hill significantly in the past few months since January. I'm not sure why but there's no longer much flavour in the pho broth and the Tom kha Kai I had a few weeks ago was sour and actually unpleasant to eat, which was super disappointing because it is my favourite kind of soup. I've kept ordering hoping it was just a one off night but unfortunately it hasn't gone back to its previous standards.
Chrissy Paproski
Always amazing food. And their staff is great! Their pho, dancing prawns, ginger beef, green curry and coconut rice are my favourites!
Susan Boire Charlton
Amazing food. I’ve never had anything less than excellent there.
Lisa Conway
The besssst!!! I'm ALWAYS excited to stop here every time I am on my way to Saskatoon!
Laszlo Molnar
Great actinic Thai food great service... Highly recommended for a visit if you are in Saskatoon.
Brenda Baker
Love Keo's!!! Have eaten there a million times and have also used take-out service.
Jesse Tiefenbach
Have eaten at Keos many times. I usually love the Ginger Beef, sadly tonight I was quite disappointed.
April Caissie
Excellent!! We will certainly return over and over.
Kelsey Harder
I have only ever taken out or had delivery so I can not speak for the customer service. However, the food is delicious.
Kim Baker
Best Thai food in Saskatoon, so fresh & full of flavour!
Amuse Bouche
Wow! I have been wanting to eat here for years but have never made it. Well today I ordered pick up. I ordered the beef birds nest spicy (6)
I was greeted immediately at the door. My order was ready and waiting.
The food was delicious!! Noodles were on top so they didn’t get soggy. Beef was very tender.
I’ll be back very soon.

I loved the cute decor, the warm and welcoming ambience, and the friendly server that helped with some recommendations on our first visit. The food was very good, but we could definitely have gone with a level 3 of spiciness. We asked for something around medium heat and were recommended level 2, but we could barely taste the spiciness.

I will definitely return to try other options from their menu. And, I'll definitely remember to always make a reservation in advance because whenever we tried to walk in they're were very busy - which is a good sign, I guess!

I ordered the Tom Kha Kai soup and the naam sot. The soup was a coconut based with chicken, green onions and fresh mushrooms with your choice of rice or noodles it had that classic Thai funky flavour here. It was good but after I was half done was getting bored of it. The naam sot in fried pork with ginger, lime juice, cucumber, tomato, shallot and lemongrass. It was not what I was expecting but enjoyed it the lime and ginger were the dominant flavours here.

Not worth wasting your time here…

I went here last night for my birthday with 14 guests. It took 2 hours to get our food. We watched as so many other tables around us arrived after us, got their food and finished before we got our food. When our food finally did come out, mine was lukewarm, a few orders were wrong and one was completely missed all together.

The manager was gone home at that point as it was past 9pm and they were going to close soon. One of the chefs from the back came out to talk to us and he was a complete train wreck! He was not sincere or helpful, he was so rude and yelled “you got your food you’re happy” “all I do is work in the back and smaller orders are easier”.

They didn’t give us a discount or anything besides the meal that was forgotten and came out 20 minutes after our table got our food. I used to love coming here but after this fiasco it’s not worth ever going back.

I ordered the thai ginger beef today. The dish had a slight ginger flavour, and a combination of sweet (from the tamarind) and spicy kick to it. I normally don't like green peppers (except on pizza) but the mixture of bell peppers, onion, and carrots in this dish tasted great! The entire dish was delicious but the only downside was that the beef was too crispy (overcooked). But that still didn't stop me from eating the thai ginger beef because I'm always satisfied with the extremely savoury flavours that this restaurant provides.
I also had the super roll as an appetizer. The super roll is a spring roll wrapped inside a cold roll. The spring roll and the sauce made it flavourful but I'm never a fan of a roll loaded with noodles and lettuce; in this case, it was surrounding the spring roll. I love the main dishes at Keo's but I don't like ordering the appetizers, not because the flavour but because of the pricing. The spring rolls are so small. 2 bites and you're done- (4) for $6. Whereas the super roll is mainly loaded with noodles and lettuce (2) for $7. I can't justify spending my money on tiny rolls or for 2 rolls loaded with noodles. My pet peeve with how the rolls are served is that they give you a plate (for the sauce) that makes it impossible to dip your rolls in. Being in the food industry for 20 years, here's a tip- give the customers a little saucer or bowl so they can dip the rolls into the sauce easier.

I ordered the curry noodle soup and loved how o could pick my protein and my spice level. The dish was delicious and packed the right level of heat! The staff were also really nice and my order came fairly quickly. I will definitely go back to try more dishes the next time I am in Saskatoon again.
NewAge5
Delicious meal and more than I could eat. Wonderful selections and seasoning was perfect. Complimented my chicken and shrimp rouman (?) with a Thai iced tea to temper the level of spice I requested. Yum! Last time I had the birds nest with the crispy noodles. Give them a try. Fresh and healthy!!

The good: the food, size of servings, the last five minutes of service.

The bad: very slow service even when there were only a few tables, very expensive to add meat to a dish (and most dishes were meatless).

Overall: the food was good and we'd maybe order takeout but don't think we'll be dining it again. It got extremely busy later on and the service, even before this, suffered.
Lyndsie St.Onge
This is a great place for vegans! Several of the dishes can be made vegan if you just choose tofu as your protein instead of the meat. I want to come back and try everything! Our server was so sweet too!! Drinks were good, food was good, service was good. Very pleased with this place!!
Dani
I tried Keos for the first time today, we ordered pad Thai and fresh rolls both were excellent! The food arrived hot and fresh. We will definitely order again. No complaints.
Amberlie
Had Tom yum soup with crispy tofu tonight. Very disappointed. The soup was too salty to eat. And the tofu was burned. Won't be there again.

One of the best Thai food experiences I've had. The food was perfect and nice and spicy, just the way I ordered it. I got the chicken Pad Thai with the spice level a 4/6. Great service! Would love to come back!
Josh
Definitely one of the top 3 thai places in the city in my books. I like how their spicy is actually spicy. Food can be a little oily and a little sweet.

I've eaten in a few times, but my pictures are from a takeaway. Service is usually great in the restaurant. Take out is also good, but one time a plastic container was warped (hopefully a defect, and not melted from the curry it was holding).
Drewdikoff
Fantastic food, good service. My go to restaurant in Saskatoon for amazing Thai food, their curry's are always fantastic. But the real reason to eat here is the Pad Thai, I can't get enough of it because it's so good. Sometimes it's a bit to moist for me but the flavour makes up for that.
MT
This place is amazing. If you like thai and have not been here, big mistake. The food is fresh, the portions are large and the service is excellent. I have had the green and red curries, as well as ginger beef. I do not generally like ginger beef, but I was fantastic. I ordered the food at a "4" spice level which was nice, although I may go with a "5" then next time I am in. Anyhow, this is one of the better restaurants in Saskatoon, I just wish it was downtown!

This was my first time at Keo's. I've heard good things, and it didn't disappoint. The Thai Iced Tea was on point, had to have two. My partner and I shared the super rolls (salad roll with spring roll in the middle), which were quite good. The crunch of the spring roll in the middle was a welcome addition to the traditional salad roll. I had the dancing prawns (coconut shrimp dish) which was amazing. Sooo good. My partner had the crying tiger which he thoroughly enjoyed and our friends both had the cashew chicken. Great meal, good service. Only thing that would prohibit me from going here on a regular basis is the price, which is a bit steep. Only complaint. Dexter Meyers

Not good. We arrived at 8pm as the website said they were open until 9pm. We stood there with our 4 year old for a good ten minutes before I had to call over to the waitress and ask her if we could seat ourselves. She immediately started arguing with me about how long we had been waiting. This young blondish girl said we just came in. This should have been our first tip off.

We got nothing but attitude from her the entire meal. First our softdrinks were watered down and had to be sent back. Next our meal was kinda lackluster. The pad thai was just gooy noodles with bland sauce and no vegeatables. The so called sticky rice I got with my watery curry was only enough for a small child and it was all hard and crunchy. Obviously the bottom of the bucket rice. She had the gall to tell me that the rice was exactly what sticky rice is. Sorry princess, but you're an idiot. I had to argue with this pretentious "art student" for nearly 20 minutes to get her to take the rice off of our bill. No way I'm paying $4 for a scoop of old hard rice.

If you want to go to an authentic thai restaraunt try Siam in Victoria BC. By far the best thai food in Canada. Puts a place like this to shame. Oh but according to the waitress Keo's was rated the best in Saskatoon. Well, anybody can buy and pay for reviews in newspapers. Either that or Saskatoon residents have no idea what real asian food is. Even if the waitress had been good, the food is pretty abysmal at Keo's. I've lived in Vancouver/Calgary/Toronto and more in the past 20 years and this place sucks. The last thing I need to get grief from some irritating stuck up "student". Yeah she had to tell every customer about how she's just a poor student in some vain attempt to get tips. Pathetic. I was a student for many years princess. This is your choice so suck it up and stop making it everybody else's problem.

Do not order takeout.. portion sizes are significantly smaller, and I concur with a review below by RubyTuesday. We were very disappointed at the lack of protein but plenty of filler. The portion sizes when you sit in to dine are significantly larger. Boo... Food is good but we would like to be filled up when we order takeout. Since it is a rather expensive takeout venue, we expect better.
Laura K. Taylor
I had the Naam Sot - very good! Only thing I'd change would be to increase the portion sizes for the price. Cosy interior, friendly staff and timely service. Would definitely return.

Keos has awesome food and great service. The decor is pleasant. The food is consistently great and can control the level of spice in each dish. Fresh ingredients and excellent sauces. We always do family style and share everything. Would be nice if the rice could be put in one bowl. We return time and time again and are never disappointed.
RubyTuesday
Ordered take out from Keo's recently. The food was fresh and delicious, with lots of nice veggies. The portions were smaller than we remember. Half of the container was filled with rice. We ordered the ginger beef, cashew chicken, and chicken pad thai. The flavours were excellent but there wasn't very much protein in the meal. For two people, we only had leftovers for lunch the next day. Keo's has delicious food, it is a treat spot, not affordable regularly for us.
Candace
Honestly the best pho in Saskatoon, hands down. I order it every time I go to Keo's. They use fresh ingredients including fresh herbs. So good!

Went here not too long ago, thought it was time to share my experience. I love thai food, the spice, the flavors, the culture... ahh. Tried Keo's Kitchen after alot of people recommended it to me, all saying this place knows how to spice things up. And yes, yes they do. I was almost sweating eating the green curry and I loved every moment of it. Speaking of the green curry, it's my go to dish. Keo's does a well done job, i had medium spice and it had a nice balance in the curry. I do wish it had a little more coconut flavor but I guess the spice level may change that as well; hard to control.I'm a sucker for iced coffee and Keo's did not disappoint with theirs. I didn't find it as sweet as vietnamese coffee, but Ive heard various differences between the two. Some say they're the same except different coffee beans, some tell me one doesn't use condensed milk (The horror!!) but i personally have no idea and didn't think to ask the server.
Sarah
Best pad Thai available in the city. I also tried the Panang curry for the first time--it was devastatingly good. Slightly sweet, slightly spicy, absolutely divine.

IChang. Grow some taste buds. For anyone who enjoys traditional Thai food, especially spiciness (if desired) Keos is the place to go. The Phad Thai, Ginger Beer, and Masaman Curry are fantastic. There is no better tasting ginger beef in this city. The same holds true for the Phad Thai. Be sure when one comments to keep an open mind that this is traditional Thai food. KEOS ROCK'S!
Jane Dough
I'm on the fence about this place, the curry I had was really yummy, a little thinner than I like it was almost a curry broth but the flavour was awesome. On the other hand, I tried some of my friends pad thai and it honestly tasted like it had a bunch of kraft peanut butter mixed in, it wasnt awful but I would never order it again.
Brooke
When I went here a few days ago, it was great! The vegetables were very fresh in the stir frys and curries. I love that you can personalize your spice! The hotter the better for me, but I understand that not everyone likes it this way. My waitress was a delight. She was timely and very sweet. She also filled up my water glass many times. The only reason this didn't get a higher rating is that sometimes the dishes are hit and miss, perhaps different cooks?
Halnic
Every time my husband and I come to Saskatoon we hit up Keo's for Chicken Pad Thai! They have a great gluten free menu and friendly service.
Alex
A little more expensive than the average place, but food is enjoyable. The colours are nice, presentation tasteful, and texture just right. I have noticed some dishes do have a little more sweetness than I would prefer but I've found that increasing the spice level ever so slightly provides a nice balance. Summer rolls are definitely a great starter, the peanut sauce is simply fantastic.
Brookie-cookie
Pretty good. My favourite is the dancing prawns! I'm never really disappointed when I eat here. However, once the ginger beef was burned to a crisp!
Ostro
Boring and overpriced. Other than chili spicing for which you can choose your degree of hotness, it was basically just coconut milk and way too much sugar. I can't understand why people think it's so great.
Foodie
One of the best in S'toon. One of my all time favourite restaurants in Saskatoon!!
Gilly Bug
This is my favourite restaurant in Saskatoon!
Roxy
Amazing once again! Haven't eaten here since I visited Saskatoon a few years back and still as amazing as ever!! Great service and delicious food at a very modest price. Highly recommend.
Ksd
Absolutely amazing, everything we ordered was delicious, high end food at a very decent price. Definitely a new spot for us. Highly reccomend .
Blondy_4687
Pretty good!. I tried out Keo's for the first time with my fiancee after hearing rave reviews. I ordered a peanut and coconut milk vegetable dish which was very flavorful, but very sweet and I questioned whether the vegetables were fresh or previously frozen. My fiancee had a peanut noodle dish which was quite good, very savory and peanutty. Overall we enjoyed it but I've definitely had better Thai food.
LLeier
The food was very good but it took a long time to arrive, even though we got there shortly after 5pm. They had a lot of takeout orders - maybe that was part of the reason they couldn't keep up with demand? However once we got our food, we enjoyed it very much.
Suziehoward
Gluten Free and to die for!. I just had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant and my tummy is very happy. The meal began with Keo's Tea which is absolutely delicious and very calming on the tummy. I tried a shrimp salad roll and some of the dancing prawns with coconut rice. I will definitely be going back.

Yumm. Wonderful food! A MUST try!
Zeljimir Troumbakievic
Try something else. The food wasn't tasty, the server was kinda arrogant and definitely not attentive. Very pricy for what it offers.
D.loiner23
Love Keos. The owners and their kids are awesome. The food always tastes fresh and flavourful. The best Thai food I have ever eaten. Highly recommend them.
Taj12
Keo's is unreal. Easily my new favourite restaurant! Had it 3 times in the past 2 weeks and I swear it gets better and better each time. Their curry with tofu and coconut rice is absolutely to die for. Service was wonderful as well. Keo's, you rock!

Dance the night away. Dancing shrimp! Dancing!!!

Great food terrible take out service. We called keos directly to place an order for pick up but We were told that we could only order for pick up via skip the dishes. So we ordered from there. We did not receive a confirmation email to let us know it was ready so I called 45 minutes later only to be told that my order was sitting there ready. When the person on the phone read the order to me, it was incorrect to which she said that the manager would void the extra item. We were then charged the incorrect amount upon pick up. When I called the manager to report our issues, she was not very pleasant. She claimed that my not receiving our confirmation email wasn't their fault (it was the skip the dishes service that they use). She also told me that they DO accept phone orders, even though I was told otherwise when I had tried to place an order that evening. Finally, I was told that it was "too bad" that we hadn't asked for a receipt upon pick up. We assumed that the till paper attached to the bag was a receipt, but it was actually only a list of what was enclosed. So....the food was very tasty but the skip the dishes service didn't work for us and the management that evening could certainly use a lesson in customer service and taking responsibility for your business decisions. We will never order take out from keos again or use skip the dishes.
Crazee_tomato
Authentic Thai food, 10/10 would come again!. I went to Keo's Kitchen on Wednesday and I ordered the Green Curry at the "Thai hot" level, it was extremely spicy, but the best part was it did not sacrifice flavor for the added level of heat. I was surprised to hear from the server that roughly only 2% of the people that go there order the "Thai hot" spicyness level. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to feel the heat and also enjoy the flavor of the dish as well.

" authentic " thai food in saskatoon. I just recently moved to Saskatoon from downtown toronto ... so I have tried plenty of Thai places/ it is one of my favourite cuisines... when I learnt about KEOS kitchen just down the street from me on Broadway I was sooo excited ! me and my sister came here to eat on our second day in Saskatoon and let me tell you.. this is the " McDonalds " of Thai food... tum yum soup tasted like chicken noodle soup no flavour and kick .. also had the beef pad Thai.. asked for hot sauxr and was given sirachi .... need I say more not authentic one bit...
Jayelle
We went to eat here on the advice of our friends in Sask. Unfortunately, the food was not very good. The Panang curry was EXTREMELY sweet, almost like a dessert. The pad Thai was descent, but again very sweet. We walked away with feeling as tho we just got diabetes. Will NOT be returning...
Same_thing5
Great for eating in, not so much for taking out.. I have been coming to Keos for years now and I have always loved their food. As of recent I have started ordering out. The food still tastes the same which is wonderful but always make sure to check your order before leaving the restaurant! 8 out of 10 times they give me rice instead of noodles for my meal (not that big of a deal, I know) and almost always forget to give me the peanut sauce I miss so much for my summer rolls. The rolls are still great, a tad dry without a sauce, but everything would just so much better if it came with all the condiments it was intended to come with.
Great food, just double check the work when ordering to go.
Everydayfoodie
Best Thai Food in Saskatchewan. This restaurant is incredible. Choose from the chef's specials for a real flavour experience! Great location. Pretty good service. Fresh and fantastic food.
Gabriel
Waited 1 and a half hour for food to arrive. Only come when you are not hungry. Budget at least 3 hours when choosing this restaurant.
Cale Bosch
Great place. Like others, I agree that the service was definitely lacking. We went early and our server rushed us to order and kept coming back like what seemed every 30 seconds, but as soon as time went on and the restaurant got busier it was like she disappeared. You could tell she was trying to get us served before the restaurant got busy because there is no way 2 girls can handle that entire packed restaurant comfortably.

Our super rolls were awesome. A spring roll inside of a salad roll? Yes, please!! They were fresh and the peanut sauce was to die for.

I loved my Laht Naa. It was lighter than a pad thai and had more veggies which was delicious. The noodles were great, the vegetables were perfectly cooked and the sauce wasn't too heavy and wasn't so light it was like water. My date loved the red curry dish as well. We both ate it all.
I'll definitely be back.
Leo
Deceptive and rude! Website, urbanspoon and even door sign said open to 10 pm sat night. Got there at 9.05 pm and was told kitchen closes at 9. Doors just stay open to 10. I said I would inform people via internet review and was told very rudely and sarcastically "have fun on the internet". Will never recommend again and never return, too many good restaurants in Saskatoon to put up with that, sorry Jennifer.
Pincher12349
Very good food. We went for lunch at Keos, the service was a little slow but friendly and the food was all excellent. Will definitely be going back.
Oldsam
Very good. Loved the Pad Thai and red curry. Have had plenty of experience with Thai restaurants and really enjoyed this one.
BrittT
This family-run restaurant consistently has fresh, delicious food that hits the spot whenever I have a craving for some good Thai. Definitely one of my favorite spots to eat thanks to the food, service and atmosphere

Ginger Beef!. I’ve never made a review of anything online but I had to step into the unknown to rave about Keo’s ginger beef! Went here Sat. Feb 1st, 2014 for the first time and had fantastic ginger beef with coconut rice. Place was super busy but for good reason.
Food Trotter
SERIOUSLY WAY OVERPRICED!!!!
CJD
They were very busy mid week at 6:00, with only 3 waitstaff on. We waited 10 min for someone to come to the front to seat us, then more than 25 minutes before anyone spoke to us again.

There were 7 of us - 4 adults + 3 kids, and we saw in the menu that groups of 6 or more are charged a 15%gratuity. After seeing people who were seated after us served, we finally stopped someone to enquire if we had a waiter/ress. When someone finally came to take our order, we advised that we would appreciate calculating our own tip as we had waited so long. The waitress (one of the owners I think) became very flustered, saying that that was restaurant policy and there would be no discretion just because we had been waiting for 30 minutes.

When I challenged this, noting that the tables of less than 6 ( where a 15% tip was NOT guaranteed) were all being served - and wasn't it interesting that the one where they were guaranteed the tip was served LAST, she told me not to be "hostile". OMG.

She then proceeded to miss one of our orders and we were there for 1 hour 45 minutes for a simple Asian meal. The food was good and she did later apologize for getting "out of control" (when presenting the bill :)) but we won't be back.
Jayjay
I couldn't tell you. They answered the phone and told me the kitchen was closed at 8 pm on a TUESDAY night!! Lame
MaliciousMuncher
Well... God Damn.... Now THIS is something delicious... I worked up the courage to call for a pick-up order!

Got the Pad Thai...

Well gee... I got the chicken, medium-hot *4*, and shrimp (at least 10) as an extra for $5.

Unreal! It was absolutely DELICIOUS, and they gave me a side of hot sauce, just in case! a lime; and beautiful presentation... looked so good, I did not want to disturb the bed of delicious!

As with any Pad Thai, I usually attack the noodles first, so I save the tasty chicken and shrimp for near the end; well I was not expecting the balance of sweet and spicy to be so perfect.... each bite was almost ecstasy; trying not to instantly devour the tasty chicken, and shrimp was almost impossible...

But alas!Eventually the full experience took hold, and I was ultimately satisfied!

Also the super-rolls are good! A lot of rice noodle, but good!

Recommended so far!
Will be back to try the other dishes!

Thanks Keo's!

The best Thai food in town. They define perfection when it comes to Thai food. I can't claim to know what authentic Thai food tastes like, but of all the places I've eaten Thai food (and I've eaten at plenty of places), this one wins without a doubt. In Saskatoon, the only other place that comes close is Sawaddee.
Heidi Fischer
GREAT FOOD!! Expect slow service.. Every time I've been here I've had extremely slow service, but I always come back because the food is so great. There is often only 1 or 2 servers working, so I don't blame them for the slow service, but instead who-ever runs the place as they clearly don't want to hire more staff.

On to the food. WOW and yum! Everything I've had is great, no complaints. The ginger beef is amazing. The portions are huge and easily sharable, especially if you want to share an appetizer.
Tyler.gould
Hands Down the BEST. Keo's has some of the best, most authentic Thai and Laotian dishes; not just in Saskatoon but out of all the "Thai" restaurants I've ever been to outside of Thailand and Laos!

Never ever disappoints. How someone could ever compare the Pad Thai @ Keo's to the bland tasteless crap from Wok Box is beyond me.

If you've never tried Keo's you're simply missing out.
Jac
The only spicy food in Saskatoon!. My boyfriend and I are lovers of Asian food, especially Thai. We find when we order things, it will only have a spicy symbol but not selection of how hot you want. We tried the pad thai with "medium" spice. This was an incredible level of hotness! My eyes were running, our noses were running, and my boyfriend was sweating - it was perfect! Finally, really good spicy Thai cuisine. The service was friendly, and it was especially great that you are given a pitcher of water to have with your meal... you'll need this.

We will definitely come back again!
AB
BAD experience!. We recently went there for supper and the food has gone "downhill!!!" The Tom Yum soup used to be the best in town when Keo was in the kitchen.... The concoction we were served was inedible and we had to return it to the kitchen. Too bad sucha good restaurant has deteriorated since they moved to Broadway.
Morgaine
Quality Food. Love the food! Very tasty, some dishes large, others smaller. Service not wonderful, even at 1:30 PM on a weekday. Dishes seem to be prepared one table at a time, so you'll likely have a good wait, unless there's no one ahead of you. Kitchen needs to be reorganized.
Jay
The food was good. The restaurant was full, with people waiting in line at the door. Keo's needs more staff. 2 people cannot serve, take payment, receive take out orders, bus tables, run food etc for an entire restaurant. Not to mention the server when she finally did come take our order, didn't write anything down and got both orders wrong. No excuse for that. I desperately just wanted to help the young guy and girl. Maybe a solution would be to stop taking take out orders if you can't even serve the people in your restaurant. Needless to say, the food is the reason to come. Not the service.

Meh. Went to Keo's on Broadway last night and was slightly underwhelmed from the hype I've heard from friends. The food was decent enough, although it could have been presented in a way that gave you the illusion of getting more for your money. The service was very very poor. We had asked for some coffees from the one waitress working(I think our server was the male working... hard to tell since he didn't come around very often.) and never did receive the coffees in the 90 minutes that we were there. The food arrived shortly past the hour mark, and wasn't considerably hot all things considered. I think the kitchen was working one ticket at a time, even though I got a glimpse of possibly 5 people back there when I used the restroom.

Would I be back? Not very likely unless I heard they had hired new staff.

The pad thai is not very good compared to Wok Box. I ordered pad thai from Keo's over half an hour before my lunch break. When I went to pick it up, they said it would be a minute. I finally got it about 15 minutes later despite ordering over half an hour before my lunch break. The pad thai is also just not good. They barely put any sauce on it at all so it lacks flavour. The pad thai at Wok Box is MUCH BETTER. All of my tofu was sitting on top of the noodles not even mixed in. The tofu was completely bare without any sort of sauce or flavour. At Wok Box the tofu is marinated deliciously. I will not eat at Keo's again just simply because the food is not good.

Pad thai. The pad thai is a reason to check this place out!
The place itself could use a renovation but the food is good.

Went out with friends, and had a reservation so all was good. Service was improving as other people left, but there is a 15% gratuity included with the final bill. So they don't have to give perfect service to large groups, but they try as best they can. I really enjoyed the pad Thai with chicken.
Jessica
Amazing! The service was really great and they went the extra mile to make us feel like we weren't just another dollar in their pocket but a valued customer! The Pad Thai was amazing and the Coconut Rice was INCREDIBLE!!!
Joel
Get the coconut rice. I get the same mixed veg every time with coconut rice, awesome!

Great Lunch. Went here last weekend and had a great lunch. We hadn't been here for quite awhile, so long that it appears we missed a reno or two. I think it looks very good, especially for an Asian restaurant.

The food was really good. The taste of the summer rolls and the pad thai was great. Possibly the pad thai could have used a little more chicken but the taste was spot on. We also had the 'tom' salad (I may have forgotten the correct name). It was a fruit salad with a good acid note.

Our waiter Matthew was very friendly and quick to serve us. We will be back soon!
Lily
Delicous!. Really great food... portions a bit small so order lots... it is a bit pricier so wish the atmosphere was better in terms of decor.. overall good eating...
Fieryd
Great food! dreadful service!. Recommend takeout! We had bad service from beginning to end. It took forever to get our food, and just as long to get a bill! The tip could have been so much bigger.

The building is cold on Sunday nights - dress warmly.

Best pad thai in town! Friendly staff and a family-owned atmosphere.
Ara
Service wasn't the best. Servers didn't re fill our water or came around to check on us. Food was really good. Try the phad Thai. Delicious! And the super rolls. It's a spring roll inside a summer roll!

Everything is made fresh; including roasted coconut. So worth it.

I just got my money back from Keos on Broadway. After forgetting one I my dishes on a take out order, I called them an the Hipster waitress who really didn't sound like she cared at all said @ya, we don't like do delivery or anything like that so your just going to h e to come back and get it." I was in a lunch break from work and told her I could t an she just said there was nothing she could do. Also, they forgot to give any cutlery or napkins. Brutal excuse for customer service. Another example of a local Saskatoon business not caring about how they portray themselves and leaking customer service.

Terrible service. I used to like this restaurant but I finally just got fed up with the service. If I took my friends there I would describe it as good food, with the worst service ever. I'm a waitress so I have a lot of patience and understanding, and will ALWAYS give people the benefit of the doubt, but the only consistency is how bad they are, even if there's no one eating there you can sometimes stand at the front for ages trying to sit down or waiting for someone to bring you a bill, no refills, no being checked on, ridiculous. I heard there was a price increase and frankly I think that's the last straw for me, it was already expensive for what it is. It's really too bad because it could be a really amazing place to eat.

Overpriced. The food at Keo's is some of the better thai/vietnamese food in Saskatoon, that being said their prices are very misleading. A dish will be advertised on the menu for $16 which is a fair price for an entree normally, but these dishes are generally served with rice and a meat topping (chicken, beef, shrimp, pork, tofu). Your server will ask you what meat and what rice you want and when you get your bill you discover that you've been charged 4 dollars for chicken and 6 dollars for coconut rice, so really you're having a $26 entree.
This place is so money hungry and greedy that even if you're already spending over $100 at your table you're still gonna see charges for things like extra peanut sauce and things that normally wouldn't be rung in with such a large order.
On a better note the food all tastes good and is aesthetically pleasing. If you can't have gluten (due to allergy or intolerance) they'll make sure your dish doesn't even touch flour. So big ups on the gluten free market for that.

Best Asian Flavours in the City, Fair Pricing. Keo's is one of the most consistently appetizing Asian restaurants north of Davidson. The peanut curry is to die for (perfect mix of spicy and sweet).

I would highly recommend the food. The service is unremarkable (neither good nor bad) and there are classier places in town if you're trying to impress your date.

4/5. Would go back for the food again and again.

We went to Keos last night, being 6:30 on a Saturday, it was fairly busy, but the amount of time we had to wait between being seated and actually getting food was ridiculous, especially for quick cooking Thai cuisine.
The first thing that turned me off was the dirty smelling rag they used to wipe off our table with, the smell lingered on the table long after being wiped down. The service was inattentive. 10-15 minutes to get drinks. Just as many more to order. I also thought the casual dress of the wait staff was a bit too casual, a toque is not restaurant appropriate.
After we ordered, we waited for probably an hour for our food. This place is NOT that big that you should wait an hour for food. The table next to us, who was seated probably 20-25 min after us got their food before ours.
The food itself, was good. Not great. The pad Thai came out with most of the noodles clumped together, same with the vermicelli noodles we got for our Green curry. The pad Thai was tasty, especially when you added some heat to it. The Green curry was tasty as well, but would have appreciated some Thai eggplant in it, and more chicken (although the chicken looked like it wa boiled). Our third dish, Dancing Prawns, came out about 10-15 minutes after. Although the rice for this dish was served with the pad Thai and green curry..,so it was cold when we were supposed to eat it with the prawns. The coconut crusted prawns were actually quite tasty, they worked well with the slightly spicy sauce they were in.
Overall, if you don't mind crappy service and spending a fortune (our bill was $75 for two drinks each and three dishes) on Thai food...I guess you could go to Keos. I don't think I'll be back.

For lack of better choice. I've been to Keo's a few times, and have been regularly disappointed, but the most recent purchase has prompted me to write this review, where I can say that I did not enjoy my dinner at all. Albeit, Keo's has received some positive praise, I feel it is for lack of other options, and lack of actual experience at a respectable Thai restaurant.

I ordered the massaman curry, which was watery and had next to no flavour except from the nut oil and was an tragic let down. I've often considered not returning, but I'll surly not return after this visit, and I'll save my Thai dining for when I visit a city which can support a respectable restaurant.

Good place for dinner. This is a good place to eat, but there is not much seating so you have to get there early, food sometimes takes too long.

Worst service ever x 3. Rever to return again.
1) went to have a bite before having to head to the airport. 20 min to get seated in a 3/4 full restaurant. When seated ordered immediately. 45 min to get food. Sadly food was good. Strike 1.
2) end of a long day, walked in the door shortly after 8. Asked if they could still serve. Ordered. Was about half done when they asked/took the rest of the food, saying they had to pack up the rest because they close at 9. It was five to 9. Oh right, tough to carry curry on a bike. Vowed not to return.
3) Sunday 8:06, called to order for pick up. The employee stated that the kitchen was not open, closing between 8 and 8:15. Despite advertizing being open until 9. I just don't get it! Strike 3.

However the food is good. Maybe try again in a few months.

Enjoy the food, not the service. I enjoy the pad thai and the spring rolls at Keo's Kitchen but I find that the service here leaves a lot to be desired. Honestly, every time I have come here I end being seated and then basically forgot about.
No drink refills, the meals are delivered to the table but no one returns to ask how the food is, and I have to chase someone down to ask for the bill.
It's not that I'm not a patient person or even get easily irritated, but really - I can only rate the service here as meager at best.

Green Curry is Amazing!. I love going here with rhe girls and sharing 4 meals, that way I get to taste everything. The flavour in everything is spot on. Favorites of mine include the thai ginger beef, the green curry, and the pad-see uw. Definately give it a try!

The tofu pad Thai is a regular craving, and I love the curries as well. We often opt for takeout and the food is hot and fresh. My husband loves the ginger beef and we always get an order of the vegetarian fresh/salad rolls. FYI I'm told they use vegetarian fish sauce, which is awesome. Be advised, if you ask for "hot", you definitely get "hot".

-----11 Aug, 2012-----

Why are you never open??. We love love love Keo's, and regularly eat in and take out, but the last few times we have called there has been no answer. Friday at supper hour! Tuesdays at noon! What the heck?? How can we eat your delicious pad thai if you don't ANSWER THE PHONE???

I LOVED IT!. My family took some convincing as children always don't get overly excited about a new place to try but after saying that it was really good I thought it better be good. AND IT WAS AMAZING!!!! are you kidding people I have eaten in saskatoon in many so called Thai places and this place by far have the best tasting, fresh fresh fresh food. And as for Ginger Beef they made it perfectly as it is suppose to be candy like crispy, not soft and drippy like you get at the substandard chinese place. We had soup, fresh rolls both kinds, Ginger Beef the Yum Salad which was yum and the Pad Thai, and the portions were perfect as I hate wasting food as it never tastes good second time around. GREAT JOB! LOVE LOVE LOVE and the waiter we had with the pony tail you were awesome too!

Yuck. I have tried the Pad Thai at Keo's a few times, hoping it would get better....but this is by far the worst Pad Thai I've ever had. I absolutely will never spend my money there again. Very disappointing.
Ethman
Very good. Very good and worth trying.

Somewhat slow service.

Not nearly as good as it used to be. The only thing going for it the last time there was that there are Gluten free choices for my daughter!

Pad thai is fabulous,Tom kha Kai soup is a favorite,I heard alot of raving about the ginger beef, it was ok. Overcooked and not much different then what you'd get off a buffet spoon. Alot of unwarranted hype, but overall unique authentic Thai experience
Food-Mart
Inexpensively Good. Food is cheap, but very good. Service seems to be hit and miss for me, and sometimes the kids running around can get annoying. Will definitely keep going though.
Tara
Always Delicious. Their food is always consistent and delicious. I usually order for take out (but their dine-in service is usually good). Some of my favorites are their pad thai, ginger beef (unreal!), and masaman curry. I can't finish their dishes on my own so it always makes for a good lunch the next day.

Vegetarians Rejoice!. I try to make it a habit to point out restaurants I find that are vegetarian friendly... Keo's is a big win in this area! Almost all the dishes come with tofu as an option, as opposed to many other restaurants in the city which offer strictly meat/seafood options. Kudos to Keo's for offering delicious Thai cuisine that caters to more diverse eating habits!

I have only tried the curries, but I find them very tasty! On the downside, prices are a little high when compared to other places in the city.
