Review The Berry Barn - Saskatoon

A wonderful little barn just a few minutes south west of Saskatoon. This charming little farm is a great place to take the kids, take your significant other, or just something to do that is relaxing and quiet. They have a petting zoo, a gift shop, go karts, a place to kayak, a restaurant, and as much Saskatoon berry stuff as you could want. Highly recommend this as a stop if you are going to or through. Also pick up something with the berries in it!

It's a destination/attraction in the Saskatoon area. I was here 25 years ago or so but it doesn't seem much different. They have a greenhouse, gift shop, train ride, petting zoo, orchard, ice cream shak, and of course the restaurant. There are lovely views of the river from your seat at the restaurant. Food is hearty but not too fancy. A good place for lunch or brunch.

Went there last September. The entrance leads to a gift shop then the restaurant. Everything smelled so fresh and warm! The staff were extremely helpful and happy to make recommendations when asked. There's a variety of food and souvenirs not just for the berry barn but also Saskatoon. So definetly worth a look. The barn itself is very well kept with variety of activities catering to all age groups. Petting zoo, sandy lake, instagrammable decorations....you name it. Worth spending a relaxing Sunday there.

Great berry barn burger! The bun had crunch, and the produce was fresh 👌 homemade beef patty was cooked perfectly (sorry but I can't stomach pink meat) Flavorful ceasar salad. 😍 The Saskatoon Berry BBQ wings had a crunchy exterior, even though they were slathered with the berry BBQ sauce they were not too sweet. The meat was juicy & all the wings were well cooked! Fries were 👍 especially when dipped in the white pepper gravy 😋 I most definitely recommend going to the restaurant! Great service and beautiful outdoor seating! Also, many interesting things in the gift shop. Grabbed a bag of frozen Saskatoon berries, canned pie filling and jar of jelly. A pair of earrings (lots of jewelry in the shop), a bag of BBQ baked chickpeas, and 3 bars of fudge (1 maple walnut, 2 chocolate). Well worth the trip!

Been going to berry barn since we came to saskatoon 9 years ago at least 2 to 4 times a year. My mom is moving to winnipeg on Tuesday so 8 of the family went for a nice wrap up and we were celebrating my nephew becoming a firefighter. Super Grey and rainy so when we arrived at 5:30, only 2 other tables. Should have meant our meals would be fast and hot .... SO WRONG. it took an exceptionally long time for the food....others that came after were served before us. 2 plates of pancakes and bacon...ice cold. Farmer sausage was dry, overcooked and smaller portion than before. Seemed reheated not fresh. 2 orders of wings and fries- cold and tough dry wings-sauce was good. 3 of us ordered the perogy combos- --- 2 were cold, 1 was Luke warm and seemed microwaved. The cabbage rolls were Grey, tasted off and smelled sour. I have a very delicate stomach and vomited mine within 5 minutes of eating half of it. The meatballs and perogy are good, but, because the food came cold, the sauces were lumpy. Flavour was good. Server admitted she is new, but 3 times now we have been to berry barn and had to chase spoons for the coffee. I told the kitchen manager (?) About my cabbage roll making me sick. They took it off the bill. Yet, no apology. I didn't want to upset my family and make a scene, but we will never return. I had read recent reviews on a Facebook page that things have deteriorated at berry barn, but it's always been pretty good for us. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. we spent a LOT of money, left overs went to the dog. $230.00 for garbage

It's a nice play for a day out with family or friends! They have a petting zoo, a restaurant, go kart, they sell fresh veggies and plants and planters. Also, they have started a toy train. Takes like 20 min from Saskatoon. Ample parking spot if you arrive before 11. No outside food accepted. The oy thing is that I wish they had picnic spots too ! They have wheelchair accessible parking near the restaurant

Spectacular place, lovely garden, friendly staff, delicious pie and waffles (definitely try their waffles😋)

My family and I decided to come here after not being able to pick strawberries from The Strawberry Ranch. We got a bucketful of good Saskatoon berries for a not so bad price. After picking berries, we got hungry and decided to eat. The food was worth the price, service was good we didn't had to wait long for our tables + our waitress was outgoing and helpful, she even hooked me up with my puppy's water! Definitely going back and higly recommend.

Took a drive to the Berry Barn today to celebrate Fathers Day for my sons. It was super busy, but the staff were all very sweet and more than helpful. �The buffet was amazing...tasty as ever, fresh and tons of great options. The cheesecake was divine. Our server was wonderful!! We took my grandsons for a walk around and they loved it! Thank you for an always great experience!! ��

We have enjoyed this place everytime we came. The staff are wonderful and the food tastes delicious and homemade :) This is the place to go with your family or loved ones for a morning brunch and a relaxing walk by the river!!! We are getting married here next summer and we cant wait!!!! One of the most beautiful places near saskatoon.

Love it there the food and the staff was amazing!! We even through the haunted house I to admit I don't scream going through haunted houses but I screamed going through this one.

I visited the Berry Barn yesterday for the first time. The food was excellent as was the service. It was quite busy but our waitress was very efficient. My only constructive criticism would be to avoid using the corner tables in the sunroom type space on cool, overcast days unless you can direct heat there. We were seated out in the sunroom in the corner and we were very cold! You could walk a couple of tables over and feel the heat but it did not reach the corner. Had it been a sunny day it would have been warmer there I am sure but when it was overcast the corner table was very cold!

A great place to eat with a veiw.The bakery choices and lingering scent are mouth watering. The grounds are wonderfully kept with lots of beautiful flower beds.Then they have the gift shop with many choices of things to purchase. �

To be my first time the experience was great, I didnt know we needed a reservation for a table for 2 but the gentleman that helps with tables and menus took my name and while looking in the gift shop he called my name and I didn’t even wait 10 minutes, food was delicious and the cheese cake was awesome, the person that helped taking our order was very friendly, the farm itself is a great place to go and sit down and relax watching the kids playing or waiting for a nice sunset, we took many pictures and I will definitely come back again in the summer!!!

It's a summer tradition for us... take a stroll around the grounds, the gardens are spectacular and the gift shops carry unique merchandise! Then go into the barn for a meal, the food is always hot and flavourful. (I love their cottage cheese perogies with the farmer sausage) Wait staff has always been attentive and courteous. It's a wonderful Saskatchewan experience!

As a visiter from the UK it was one of the best places I went to during my time in Canada food was fantastic and even paid for the BBQ sauce that I had over my ribs perfect venue perfect food and perfect company along with perfect staff overall fantastic and can't wait to go back to Saskatoon and eat there again

Homey atmosphere and our server Raynier was so awesome!!! Just quite a little disappointed that when I made my reservation for Father’s Day...I booked for Saturday thinking we will have the buffet setting .. we only found out that ‘‘twas for Sunday only... the guy on the phone did not correct me about it...

Had friends from Arizona visiting and they loved the Berry Barn. Had lunch walked the grounds & bought a few souvenirs. Awesome place. Going back in a few weeks with more company from Ontario.

It was our first visit to the barn but it will not be our last , beautiful place ,beautiful surroundings, good food and friendly staff lovely day 👍🏻

We had a great time, the foods are amazing! Especially the waffles. The staffs are nice . The place is beautiful.
