Review Four Seasons Restaurant - Saskatoon

I gave them a two because the servers were very friendly and nice, but unfortunately the food was disappointing. Came for a special occasion dinner which is $40 per person, but the meats were very dry and cold so could not finish. Vegetables were bland. Extremely overpriced for the quality of food received.

Servers are great but a new cook has reduced all food/meal portions by 25-30%. It's a poor value for your dining out dollar as a result. I guess the cook is trying to beat inflation, by reducing calories... the servers are embarrassed now when serving long time customers such as myself.

Because of COVID, I was unable to spend time with my family in person this year for Christmas. My sister very kindly ordered me a Christmas dinner from Four Seasons restaurant at Park Town Hotel so that we could all eat dinner together virtually. I arrived at the scheduled pick up time of 5:45pm. The lobby was chockablock full of people. Crazy. I waited five minutes and took my meal home (less than 10 mins). It was pretty much stone cold. Fair enough. Not the end of the world. However, it was pretty disappointing. It was like a child size portion. The potatoes were not very good. The vegetables were sad. The stuffing was OK. The turkey might have been good at some point but I had to warm it up and it was pretty dry. The gravy was good. They included cranberry sauce which was good. There was also a little salad which was tasty but they forgot the dressing. All in all, certainly not worth the price she paid which I think was about $25 or so. I have been to this restaurant previously for a Sunday buffet or something like that. It was pretty good. My sister ordered from there because of the name… She thought it was THE Four Season’s. LOL! In any event, I got to eat dinner with my family after all which was the most important thing. I certainly will not be rushing back to that restaurant.

Staff was great! Food? Sorry- It missed. Made the mistake of asking for something a bit different- very well done carmelized onions- chefs couldn't deliver.

Great food, excellent service! They have offered complimentary dessert for special occasions such as birthday, anniversary! Servers are always friendly and caring! We love it here! Great place to dine if you are visiting someone in RUH or City Hospital. The staff are compassionate and they understand.

Maybe I'm showing my age but the Four Seasons brand is something I've grown to know as a sign of quality and class. This is not what I received from the Blackstone eggs Benedict. Bought in and premade hollandaise is a signature of a small time diner not a branded higher end restaurant. Nevermind the fact that the soft poached eggs were under done. Something I didnt think possible. The service and ambiance were good. The food quality was just blah. Hollandaise is not hard or time consuming and a chef should be able to make it blindfolded, especially with only 3 tables in the place.

Amazing food. The bisque and soups were beautifully made, the food was to die for and service was second to none. Decent portion sizes, what's not to like? We will definitely come back! 5* all the way!

Me and some friends went here for brunch on a Sunday and I must say I was a bit disappointed. The food was average, at best. Not a huge selection. Oven roasted chicken was dry, as was the eggs Benedict (I suspect this is always the case in buffets). Definitely not worth $24. There are other brunches in Saskatoon for similar prices and larger selection.

We stayed at Parktown on our visit to the city. We ate supper and breakfast here during our stay. Supper was disappointing food wise but service and atmosphere were good. Breakfast was good all around.

We went for a birthday super this past weekend and were pleasantly surprised. From reading these reviews we were a little unsure of how it would be. We had people who had the buffet and enjoyed it very much. There was a huge selection and delicious looking desserts. My boyfriend and I ordered off the menu and we were very pleased with our meals. I had the trout with mashed potatoes and it was good. Our server was absolutely wonderful and friendly. We had a great time and good food.

Nice view just off the river. Never used the hotel myself. The restaurant itself I would say is 'safe' to go to if you are scared to try anything international. Your typical western meals. Buffet selection has really gone down. But the prime rib buffet I enjoyed. If you don't like beef the alternative is deep fried chicken. Unfortunately I'd rather have the prime rib as the crispy chicken isn't really crispy and bland tasting. I enjoyed the potatoes/cold salad selection. The dessert selection had more in the past but still is good. I still like my soft ice cream with their available crisp desserts or pie 😄 service was OK but my server did take my plate before I was finished..possibly an accident.

We came here tonight for my birthday supper. I had made reservations for 6:00. We were greeted promptly and taken immediately to our table.
A few people at the table went to check out the buffet but said it was really underwhelming.
I had been looking forward to having the blue cheese crusted steak. I ordered my steak medium rare but when I first cut into the steak it was well done. Most times I wouldn't have said much but for a $37 steak I decided to tell the server it was over cooked. Our server agreed and immediately said he would have it fixed. Well the entire table was eating which I urged I didn't want their food to get cold. I was somewhat joking with my spouse saying my steak would probably either be licked or very rare. Well low and behold can't say they licked it as I couldn't see into the kitchen but now the steak was very rare. The baked potato was not as soft as it should be. The veg was not very good either.
My spouse had the trout with rice. Said the trout was good, I had a small bite and it was ok. Spouse said the rice was extremely bland and dried out, the veg on this plate was the same veg as mine and spouse claimed them to "mush".
2 people at the table had chicken souvlaki and said it was good but the same veggies were not good.
Brother inlaw had chicken stir fry. The stir fry didn't look good. Bro inlaw said it was edible though.
Sis had jaeger schnitzel. Said it was good, said the spatzel was better than some she has eaten in other restaurants. The cherry compote she liked, she told me to try. Well to me it tasted like canned cherry pie filling that had been warmed up.
All in all. I was not impressed I wanted to go out for a nice dinner for my birthday and was disappointed. Spouse and I mutually agreed we would not return.
The server did comp one dessert because of the screw up which we did appreciate but for the price of meals here there are many other establishments who serve better quality food. Maybe not so much quality but are cooked much better.
Also the menu on this site must be old as the food prices are quite a bit higher.

Very good. This place can cook a damn good steak and still manage to provide an awesome dinner and brunch buffet. View is spectacular, and the staff are knowledgeable about the menu. Go for the Steak Madagascar, strawberry chicken salad, and the prime rib buffet. Sunday brunch is extremeley busy there so go around 11:00 am, or 1:00 pm to maximize your experience and get a better table. DO try their soups of the dav, DON'T foget to leave room for dessert.

Exceeded expectations. During a very recent stay in Saskatoon had the pleasure to eat at this restaurant multiple times. Indeed the first restaurant experience was so positive it had us change our hotel and check in to Parktown hotel.

Ate here four times as they simply exceeded expectations each time. Daily Lunch buffet is exceptional value and not matched anywhere in downtown. Salad options were excellent, two soups available on buffet, dessert selection good. Two warm mains per day. Perhaps limited on warm options but for 16 dollars fantastic value.
Breakfast was great.
Every order we had the presentation was tasteful, proportions ample, and service was friendly and attentive. It was immediately evident this establishment is trying hard to please and succeeding. The only negative I can think of is tables are going to be harder to find at this large restaurant which is packing them in.

Staff in kitchen needs revamping. Absolutely brilliant renovations, good choice on the menu; however, a couple of bullies in the kitchen. Not a great place to work.

Wonderful Experience All Around!. My husband & I went to the Four Seasons Restaurant for brunch today on the recommendation of one of my husband's co-workers. The entire experience was an absolute delight. In spite of it being served buffet style, all the food was hot, fresh and had that home made goodness that just seals the deal. The service was exceptional to the point I wish I had noted the names of the staff so I could complement them to their manager. Our server offered to replace my coffee when she noticed that it wasn't hot anymore, when I explained I like my coffee on the cool side she made sure to check with me every time before refilling my cup. The hostess washed some spilled syrup off our table and promptly dried it AND felt it with her hand to make sure there was no sticky residue. The two omelet chefs we encountered were super friendly in spite of the heat and crowd as it was very busy! We were sitting by the till and there was some confusion with a gentleman's bill. They offered him a table and beverage to enjoy while the straightened it out! A family arrived early for their reservation & there table wasn't ready yet. They brought the elderly mother a chair to rest in while they waited for their table after they had declined to wait in the lobby from where the hostess offered to retrieve them when their table was ready. As for the food. Eggs Benny made with sausage patties. I do not enjoy sausage patties, yet I went back for seconds! The salads were fresh, the potato salad was a particular delight tasting home made and the potatoes were NOT undercooked as is so often the case! The waffles are made at the omelet station to order so they are hot and fresh with an assortment of fruits or syrup to top them. The pasta tasted fresh and delicious in spite of being served off a steam table. The roast beef was moist and tasty. While we did not partake of an omelet, they looked fabulous and the guests at the neighboring table loved theirs and went to get a seconds to share. The staff kept the buffet clean & full. All in all it was a very enjoyable brunch with absolutely no complaints! The level of service was a pleasant surprise as in this day & age, it is difficult to come by!

Great Salad. The Strawberry Chicken Salad is sooo amazing, and the view from the window tables is a perfect place to go out for a relaxing supper or romantic night out.
Good Food
I can only comment on the Sunday Brunch. We went there with a fairly large group (20ish) on Sunday, a few weeks back. Reservations .. yes. Cordial and efficient staff ..yes. Layout at tables, as well as cleanliness ..yes. Nice presentation of food at buffet .. yes. Everything that you would expect from a better hotel on a Sunday. The food though, had that sameness about it. Starch, sugar, salt, fat. And no real alternative items: perhaps the odd strawberry or grape. Your typical "filling station", but with cloth napkins. Bonanza has them beat as far as selections and variety, but Four Seasons has a clean, professional, well lit, atmosphere. Pretty good scam that the yuppys love to pay for.

Great value, service and what a view!!! River facing all day restaurant just underwent renovations! Perfect for private functions in the back room! Dinner service has moved to linens and better menu still with very reasonable dining prices! I will be back over and over until it gets too busy and word gets out! Diamond in the heart of downtown Saskatoon! Located in the Park Town hotel....new ownership or something?

Always a pleasant experience. I'm always treated with respect, and am served promptly and competently.

The food is always very good. The Sunday brunch is the best in town, and being a lover of turkey, I often go for the excellent Sunday turkey buffet. Their daily buffets are also very good.

Wow, I've had some really bad meals here!. Really, really boring food. I eat here out of convenience, as I often stay at the Park Town. If I have a scrap of energy, will walk just about anywhere to avoid it. I ordered a veggie burger recently and was charged $1 extra for a slice of pickle, and another $1 for a slice of onion to top it. Seriously?
