Review Royal Taj - Sarnia

Kim Leong
I came in for lunch. It was an enjoyable experience. The place is really nice inside, great place to enjoy a Kingfisher beer and try some delicious Indian food. I ordered the chicken korma and rice with garlic naan bread. My server Sahil was very helpful and helped me pick the perfect lunch. This is definitely one of my favorite place to eat indian food. Thanks

Had one of the best chole bhatoore of my life. Only issue was, they charged more than what was written on menu. It was $10 on menu and I paid 12.99 plus tax.

Nice refreshing drink, good food, staff was incredible. Would definitely suggest this place as one of interest in Sarnia.

Food was excellent! Our server gave us a recommendation for an app and it was great! Great atmosphere as well

Me and my partner were driving around looking for indian food. We stopped here. Glad we did. The butter chicken was great but what really impressed us was our server, Sahil; over the top for customer service. We ordered a dessert while waiting for our food since we didn't order ahead... it was some kind of ball of goat cheese milk thing...well I'm not really sure what it is... absolutely delicious to nibble slowly on and savour though. It was a delightful new flavour to add to my palate. Creamy sweet and well balanced flavors and textures. Good choice on Sahil for me as I was looking to try something new.

Have been 3 times now and never disappointed. Food is really good. Everything is nicely spiced. If you order your dishes medium spiced it should be OK for everyone except the mildest of eaters. The setting is very modern and contemporary - a nice change for an Indian restaurant. Service is always friendly. Decent beer and wine selection selection.

Normally excellent, the chef in particular is very friendly and has even given us free tasters to try. Sometimes the waiting staff are a little weak, their English is often poor and they misunderstand orders. The last time we were there the quality of the food was much lower than expected. The chicken was quite cheap, fatty and not even chicken breast in some of the dishes. We usually order the same things and know it's usually much better. They also gave us different bread and starter than we ordered so were pretty disappointed all round.

The atmosphere is contemporary, yet warm with comfortable seating. Our server was lovely, pleasant, and patient; accommodating a special off-menu request. The food is phenomenal! Fresh, properly seasoned, and bursting with flavour. Highly recommend to anyone who loves authentic, flavourful Indian cuisine
