Review Tang's China House - Sarnia

Andrew Deng
Tang's China House is NOT authentic Chinese food, it is the typical American/Canadian-Chinese food. It doesn't even have Chinese on the menu. However, the people who are there do speak Cantonese. The service is quite slow, as we waited almost 30 minutes for the food to be done. The restaurant itself seems to a time capsule of the late 70s/early 80s, as evidenced by the decor and the music played (Teresa Teng, for example). It also has an interesting history and various awards posted on a wall.

Bean sprouts were way overdone. Almost like they were dehydrated. Chicken balls were all batter no chicken. Chicken wings were so tiny. Flavour was ok but not great. Recipes definitely need some work

Ordered a family combo for takeout. We made some substitutions for a couple of items with no problems at all. The portions were great and the food was hot, fresh and absolutely delicious. Would definitely recommend. Best Chinese food I have had in the area

Very busy place. Ordered and picked up at the front counter. The clerk was very professional at pickup. I just wouldn't order hot and sour soup otherwise the food was fabulous. Worth the money.

Very disappointed. Is not near as good as it used to be. Watered down broken soggy wonton soup with literally no meat.. oily non crispy butterfly shrimp.. literally no chicken in the Chicken almond ding.. over 50.00 ala carte for two..expected better quality. .

Personally, I find Tang's food to be tasty, the service is great, and its a family atmosphere. We celebrate many family occasions at Tang's. Helpful, friendly staff and tasty price- competitive food. Enjoy your next dining experience at Tangs.......you won't be sorry.
