Review Olive's Casual Cuisine - Sarnia

Wonderful ambience, decent portions, ordered their crepe of the day and it was very flavorful, had a nice salad to go with it. We ordered chocolate pecan cheesecake for dessert and it was of course, it was wonderfully decadent! Exceptional wait staff service.

Went there for a special 51st Anniversary supper. We had been their many years ago and it was great then as it also was tonight. The food was fantastic and service was historical. Very reasonable prices considering the amount and quality of food served.

This is not an allergy friendly establishment. Despite giving the server a clear explanation of my allergy, and an assurance by her that the kitchen would be informed, I was still served food containing the allergen. There were no accommodations made. No apologies were made. I still had to pay full price for half a meal. Very poor dining experience.

Two of my friends and I ate lunch at Olives yesterday. The food was excellent but the service provided by our waitress, Maureen, was beyond excellent. Customer service is extremely important to me as I believe it is to many. Maureen was pleasant, personable, helpful, and efficient. Thank you, so much, Maureen, for enhancing our dining experience.

We were part of a group celebration and everybody preordered dinner. 20 people all getting served at the same time or so it was supposed to be. I was the last person served and my steak didn't look anything like anybody else s. I ordered medium and got rare. It was tough. I couldn't cut it let alone eat it. Very dissapointed as I've eaten there before and always gotten excellent food

My favourite place for lunch. Salads are fresh and crisp, and entrees are hot. The plating is especially appealing. Add to that, the staff is courteous and always available to cater to your needs. A great place. What more could you ask for?

The food was fabulous and the waitress was very attentive always making sure we were happy with our meal and drinks. The only thing was we were a group in the large room at the back and the room was a bit cold and we could feel a draft. It wasn't just me that felt the cool temperature. We would for sure return.

My husband and I hosted 40 of our family at Olive's for our wedding reception supper. We offered the group menu, and it was flawless. My guests were blown away with the quality of food and service (some are still talking about the salad dressing). Just as important (as the bride) was how easy it was to work with the staff at Olive's with planning. The day of, I left a lot of the supper coordination in their hands and I was not disappointed. "Highly recommend" is an understatement.

It was the first time I have been there for lunch. I love smaller menus, and everything looked amazing on it. I got the crab cakes and they came with a delicious salad that was so fresh and tasty. Also their whole dessert menu was amazing. We all got something different so I tried 3 different ones and they were all amazing! I'll definitely be back!

Olives is a great litle place for a "ladies who lunch" meal. The restaurant is known for its pastries and has a wonderful menu with sandwhiches, quiches and other lunch fare.

Since it is known for pastries I decided to try one of their menu quiches and was not dissapointed. It came with a delicous serving of salad and was the perfect portion.

You must browse through their expansive dessert menu! Remember when visiting this place it is known for its pastries!

Gift certificates. Sarnia ON. I heard Olive's Casual Cuisine will be taken over as of Aug 1/14 by the new owners so thought better cash in those GIFT CERTIFICATES the kids gave us before that, so took the wife for dinner this week shared a baked brie appetizer both had the lamb in maple brandy sauce with a nice wine capped off with a frozen lemon dessert lovely lovely retirement is good . Next week cash in the Father's day one lol. Hardest part deciding what to have. So if you have any gift certificates you want to use them before the end of this month.

Use to be good. This place was my favorite for gourmet eating in sarnia ; but my last dinner there around the week of july 25 was not a memorable one ;the food was semi warm; the lamb was undercooked and chewy , and the veggies not even hot ;the quality for the dishes we ordered was not the same as in previous dinners there ; I seen in the paper in real estate that the owner is retiring and the business is for sale this explains why the food there was mediocre ; and why on earth would they serve red wine at room temperature when red wines should be served between 55 to 65 degrees ; I;ll never go back there again pending on who the next owner will be

Lunch with the girls from work was awesome! Had th chicken pot pie which was so yummy, and the best dessert in sarnia... Save room for dessert or forever regret it!
