Review Lily's - Saint John

Nice restaurant. Sarah our waitress was excellent. We had a 6pm reservation but they had a bit of a problem in the kitchen which backed up the orders. It took quite a bit of time between appetizer and entree. Sarah was very apologetic for the delay. Would still go back again as the food was good. And a very good view of Lily lake. It was a bit to cold to sit on the deck. Try next if it is a bit warmer.

Great, relaxing location to spend a sunny afternoon, staff is excellent always checking in, and the food... everything we had was amazing! Not to mention the most important of all, Dog Friendly! My little guy was welcomed with open arms and a water bowl just for him.

One of the most memorable meals I had while visiting the city. Staff was so friendly and helpful. The server said the dish I wanted was too much for lunch despite being more expensive. I settled for a seafood salad containing shrimp, scallops, lobster, and veggies. Definitely recommended.

The patio was very nice. Dog friendly. I had the Maple Curry chicken with penne. Delicious sauce. Wife had the coconut crusted haddock which she really liked.

Really can't go wrong with Lily's. Epic salads, great coffee, turkey gravy to die for, and perfect fish and chips. Enjoy a post-meal walk around the lake and you've got a perfect date.

On our way south from NS to ME, we stopped at St John for a coffee and cake break and found Lily’s. How lucky we were as the service, setting, drinks and food were outstanding. Dog friendly too. Highly recommended

Very amazing restaurant! Great ambience and location with history. Everyone enjoyed their food, the service was friendly and the energy of the place was very nice. Our server Grace was so nice and efficient with our food orders and organizing the bills. Thank you!

The roasted beet and fried goat cheese salad was spectacular! The poutine was good, but average. The creamy dill salmon (special of the day) was actually weirdly bitter. The salmon was awfully bland, pale, and a bit overcooked to my liking. The steamed veggies on the side were also bland and unexciting. The bar was extremely limited and out of stock, even lacking the basic ingredients for an old fashioned. We were the only ones here on Saturday night, which felt odd and cold. Unfortunately didn't get to enjoy the views which seemed like they would otherwise be beautiful! The service was great! No rush despite out later arrival and very friendly. If you come here, get the salad, and do so when you can enjoy the view!

We had an absolutely delicious supper at Lily's last night. The wait staff was very friendly and helpful but there didn't seem to be enough of them to handle the customers who were there. We had a reservation and stood at the hostess stand for 5 minutes before being acknowledged. Once we were seated, our order was promptly taken and served in an acceptable timeframe. However, once we were done, again the wait staff seemed to be too busy to come back to us. We sat with dirty dishes at our table for a good 15 minutes, wanting to place a dessert order. By the time we saw a waitress again, we had to leave so took our dessert to go. We have no complaints about the food. It was top notch! And again, the waitresses were so nice so I am not complaining about their personal performance, just that they were understaffed to the point that it affected customer service. Thank you.

Attended a wedding rehearsal dinner for about 50 people recently at Lily Lake. Staff at the Cafe did a great job of preparing and serving dinner that included gluten free options. The food was very good and the careful attention of the staff to avoid cross-contamination of the GF items was impressive. Kudos!

Love this place! We come here for breakfast when camping at the campground. Love sitting on the deck on water eating breakfast.

What a delightful lunch experience, ordered my favourite (and the best in the city I might add) maple chicken curry penne and it was to die for! Great atmosphere and friendly service! Can't wait to come back and try the wonton nachos, they looked fabulous! See you soon Lily's and keep up the good work!

I went for breakfast at 10:40 ordered at 10:45 but didn't receive any food until 11:15. 2 of the 3 meals had uncooked eggs. They only have a 10% CAA discount. That is what the discount was rang under. Which was only a total of 3.85. The toast was barely toasted and next to no butter. I will not return to eat here.

Great service, friendly staff and delicious food keep us coming back for more. Diane always makes sure we are well taken care of even if it’s just stopping in for coffee or for the best lunch specials around .

We sat on the deck by the lake & it was very relaxing. Our table had the maple glazed salmon, mango salsa topped haddock & a chicken pot pie. All the food was delicious.

Great food - good value for the price. Service was excellent. Wait time for food was appropriate. Serving sizes more than adequate. Have been there before. While always good , this visit was best so far!

My husband and I chose Lily's for supper on Tuesday night because we knew they had an SFL menu. I was surprised when we got there and they have a brand new menu with no SFL options. We stayed because we were already seated and had our drinks. We enjoyed our food as always but are disappointed with the lack of healthier options.

We went to have a birthday supper for my dad, we had 13 people total and our waitresses were fabulous! So friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and we all received our meals at the same time which was awesome! My dad even got a birthday baked Alaska!!! We would definitely go again.

Everything was absolutely wonderful!! We came to Lily's for supper and the service was great and the food was even better! It was so nice to go to a place that you actually get to finish your appetizer and have a little break before your meal is placed in front of you! Very impressed and we will definitely be back soon ☺️

Just left Lily's and the food was incredible, the flavour was superb, the wait staff was friendly. The Tenderloins tips were so delicious. I can't wait to go back.
