Our favourite thick crust pizza in town.
The crust is not too thick or too thin with a nice "crisp". Sauce has lots of flavour and depth, and toppings are layered to the edge not too full with a sprinkle of signature oregano. Simple, purposeful and balanced - a formula so many places get wrong - and Oregano's does it right!
Wanted to know what the fuss was all about after CTV News awarded Oregano's "best pizza in town" beating out both thick and thin crust competitors like Romeos, Ali Baba and Prima Strada. Did not disappoint. Great local business in Fairfield and Shelbourne with friendly helpful staff. In fact we think Oregano's has set the bar so high we no longer order pizza from anywhere else... a bit of an inconvenience when we are out of town.
Worth driving in rush hour for takeout!!

Best pizza in town. No competition. The breakfast sandwiches are deadly as well. I've always had good service, quick delivery, and friendly staff. They need a third location around uptown so I don't have to drive so far
So delicious. Innovative pizzas that never disappoint in the pizza of the week section. Oreganos can be a bit greasy, especially if it involves pesto, but it's just so good otherwise. To be clear, this isn't trying to be a simple but savory taste. Oreganos generally goes for a blend of toppings and spices taste. So if that sounds good to you, go for it!

Try the rockin morrocan- the best.. Best pizza in town. I'm a huge sweet and hot pizza fan (bbq sauce, chicken, pineapple, hot peppers) and after trying the rockin' morrocan, I was converted. Best pizza I have ever had- that sauce is sweet and tangy but spicy (horseradish?) and definitely unique. I've had the jamacian jerk as well, but rockin morrocan is my fav. Sometimes I'll create my own pizza using most of the morrocan toppings (you can sub that sauce for the regular sauce). Their pizza is great every time we have had it, and always loaded with toppings.
Great Pizza. This location is surrounded by pizza places. There's a Panago, a Pizza Hut, and Pizza Factory, and there was even a Papa Murphy's nearby. None of them measure up to Oregano's (not that you'd expect them to, maybe Papa Murphy's).
Their pizza of the week is always interesting and I've never had a bad experience. Theirs was the first bacon cheeseburger pizza I've ever liked. It was like actually eating a cheeseburger, but a pizza! Their breakfast pizza is also great. That's the neat thing about Oregano's, they're pretty unique, but they maintain a great quality.
The only thing I'd like is if it were just a little less greasy. Sometimes the meat-heavy or pesto pizzas are a little greasier than I'd like. But it's not like they're dripping or anything, just a little. Overall, still delicious. I've yet to try their vegan cheese, but I wonder if that'd do the trick!
Really Good Pizza. Oregano's makes really good pizza. They use nice fresh ingredients and are not greasy. The pizza is really filling- two slices and I am stuffed. They also make good salads, pastas and calzones. We have ordered from there quite a few times, and the staff is really awesome and everything has always been delicious!!
Their breakfast sandwiches are so yummy, convenient, and made fresh. They're served all day, and try one with pesto if you're feeling adventurous

Absolutely Love - Also Way More Than A Pizza Place. I'm quite a regular at this place. The staff is super friendly and enjoy being recognized.
Their pizza is excellent. It's also a bit strange, which can be good and bad. Last time I had a vegetarian breakfast pizza with hollandaise sauce, eggs, corn, onions, and cheese. It was absolutely delicious! But sometimes you just want a regular slice of pizza and I find I have to go elsewhere for that.
Also, appreciate that their slices are smaller than some of the other joints, so you can get two different kinds of pizza (the two slices cost the same as one at other places). Or just get one slice for a smaller snack.
They also have really great desserts. I love the brownies and the who-needs-a-man bar is amazing (shortbread, caramel, and chocolatey goodness). They serve some really nice fair trade coffee.
Also, they make a mean breakfast sandwich. I had the breakfast club sandwich, it was the perfect size (not massively large).
On the whole, one of my favourite places.
Grabbed a few slices for lunch after a friend recommended this place. Pizza was so good I had it for lunch the next three days! Its becoming a bit of an addiction and they have brekky sandwiches and calzones which my coworkers go crazy for! Such an awesome place to have in this area and probably the best pizza I've ever had!!

Great people and pizza. First time posting on Urbanspoon. I went out of my way to sign up to let people know how friendly everyone here is. I popped by here by chance a couple weeks ago, and was surprised by the really good pizza. They also have all day breakfast wraps that are fast, cheap and taste great. Highly recommend not only the food but also the friendly atmosphere.
Nice people!. The order taker was friendly, pleasant and helpful. The driver who delivered smiled at me and was also very nice. I ordered soy cheese pizzas and they were delivered sooner than expected. I may try a different crust next time since the regular crust didn't do it for me. But the toppings were great! I also really like the non-dairy sauce. My favourite part though, is the price. I've shopped around and Oregano's was the least expensive for what I like to order.
Victoria's Best and Most Creative Pizza!. This ain't your standard boring grub. Tried two of their "side" pizza's and WOW, they really should be on the menu! One was a spicy pulled pork pie and can't remember what the other was called. Awesome regular and whole wheat crust, lots of quality toppings. Very friendly customer service. Any excellent choice for those in the Gordon Head area. Can't wait till they come out to the Westshore!
Delicious food and great people!. We have eaten here twice now and have enjoyed the pizza and the calzones very much. The people are knowledgeable and friendly and the atmosphere is new and clean. Great location, great food and great people. I know they will do well here! They have the best pizza in town by far.

Great for lunch!. I will begin this by explaining that I used to go to the other Oregano's (in Fairfield) quite often. Their food was really good, and their desserts were to die for (something my diet did not appreciate). So I was excited when I learned a second location would be opening up in my neighbourhood. I have since been to the new one, and while it's smaller on a few fronts (a smaller space means less selection and seating), it is still really really good. Their pizza is tasty, they have brought a few desserts from the other location (don't say I didn't warn you!), and like the Fairfield location, the staff is very friendly and always smiling. This place is very brand-new, so I expect their selection to increase as their popularity does, which I have no doubt will happen. Give this place a try. Pizza-by-the-slice, yummy bistro selections that you can get to go (I highly recommend any of the pastas!), and "Who Needs a Man" squares. Who indeed! Go see what I am talking about. You'll thank me.
Highly recommend! Great pies that have consistently stayed quality over the years. Always happy when ordering. We do miss their pulled pork pizza they used to have but the other unique recipes keep us wanting more! Keep up the good work!
Was a beautiful day today but sunny so i decided to try oreganos. I called in a pickup order tonight at 7:40 pm the woman who answered the phone was pleasant. We ordered a large calzone "meatlovers" and the cheesy garlic breadsticks. The CALZONE is a beast just massive 🙌 my husband and I shared it and we were good to go "full" Thanks.
The order itself only took 30 mins and was $30.00 and I have to say we'll worth. I'm not sure why I took so long to order from you guys but I'm glad I ordered today ☺️
The parking lot was empty with plentiful spots. The was not a lineup upon arrival but one person showed up when I was paying for my delicious order.the was several people preparing dough. Thanks again I will be back!
We are from out of town and we’re looking for a good pizza to bring back to our hotel. I NEVER write reviews but I had to for this pizza. This pizza is probably the best we have ever had. I’m not kidding. We were in Italy in Sept and Oreganos is way better than any pizza we had there . I wish there was a store where we live. Thank you oreganos!!
Fast and friendly! It's a great place to order your pizza from. If you ask for delivery they give you the right amount of time and they are overall early or very prompt.
Everyone likes it as it isn't like eating cardboard. It has the right mix of flavour in the dough and on the toppings!☺️ Worth it.

Calzones (3.6/4.0): one large and two regulars were enough for a family of 6. Great meal. They use good quality ingredients and I appreciate them for that reason.

There's not much to say about the atmosphere. It's a pizza shop. Good dough, sell it raw to make your own at home creations. I love a good cheese pizza, and the Big Cheese was tasty. The pierogi was ok, I've had better ones here and elsewhere, but for 50$ for 2, it was a good value
Great options and wonderful staff. I have favorite go to pizzas but each time I try a new one it's amazing! The modification you can make to make it the best for you is amazing (crusts/gf and different cheese from DF to vegan)
Good food! My favourite pizza in town, really. Although the customer service in person, particularly the male presenting staff, leave something to be desired. Otherwise good!

Only pizza takeout place that I can finish the crust. The crust is crispy but not dry and actually very tasty. My kids love the Hawaiian, and I usually don't like Hawaiian, but theirs is the best by far. My favorite there is actually Mediterranean vege.
Oregano's gets a great review from the Society of Geography Students at UVic! We ordered pizze from them for a student event and they did an amazing job at getting it to the right building and earlier than expected! You guys were awesome and pleased a whole bunch of students!
