Review Fisherman's Landing Restaurant - Rocky Harbour

Steph
The restaurant was super busy in the evening with lots of travelers coming into the park, they made sure we were taken care of well. Menu had a big selection and both the items we chose were fresh made hot and came out fairly quickly. Considered going back again during our short time in Gross Morne because of the great experience

We had a family dinner tonight. Lobsters, cod tongues, fish & chips, fish chowder. It was a good basic meal.

The hostess and the server were really nice but service was quite slow - that said, I wasn’t in a rush. I was hungry and this place was the only restaurant open during off season in Rocky Harbour. Had the Cod au Gratin and the Fish Chowder and the Shrimp To go. Was pleasantly surprised by the meal and the Fish Chowder was tasty with big chunks of fish. The view was great as a got to sit at the front and had a lovely view of the sunset.

Sorry, as much as I enjoyed our visit to Rocky Harbour, I can't rate this any higher. The view is great, as it is for anywhere in town. And I'm fine with the diner vibe; that's what I was after. But it shouldn't come with grumpy service, white tablecloth prices and generally average food. There are a few options around that have better menus, prices and service. Is it too much to ask for a warm welcome, warm vegetables and a refill on the water and coffee?

I don't even know where to start. 3 stars because the food was okay and the hostess was nice, but wow the service was terrible and slow. We saw another table pick up and leave after not getting service. Might have done the same if anything else was open (around 8pm, and the restaurant was quite empty with 2 servers on shift). We had to practically chase our server down when we needed anything as he literally never came by.

Overpriced, bad service, quality is not there. Ordered a lobster sandwich during lobster season... Ended up with the following: 25$ for two slices of grocery store white bread, one leaf of romain lettuce, miracle whip and less then one pincer worth of lobster meat... The only reason you eat there is out of despair at 7 o'clock when nothing else is open in the area.

Very clean and friendly. The food is what you would expect for a diner. We were really happy with our breakfast. It not overpriced but it also not fancy. Perfect little unassuming diner

Food was ..... pretty *meh*. The pea soup was tasty, but almost no meat in it. The restaurant is DIRTY. I don't know if the ceiling has ever been cleaned. I can tell you that no maintenance has been done in years. The food was better years ago. The service is non existent. The staff are so busy that they don't even have time to check to see if your food is satisfactory. I hate to say it, but I do not recommend eating here.
