The food was worth the wait. Island time :30min turned out to be 1 hour. Whose in a hurry anyway ..... we had breakfast at the cafe, not realizing there was a Gumboot restaurant to the left. Don't let the wait scare you. Of course we came when it was busy and it died down as we were leaving. Good top up coffee with breakfast👅

This place still has incredible food just like when I worked here 7 years. Great job. Glad I stopped in on my vacation

Had dinner tonight and tried the special, linguine with salmon, spinach and tomatoes. Shared the special appetizer of Brie, artichoke & local chanterelle mushrooms with grilled baguette and the Chocolate Flight dessert. Paired with a bottle of Stoneboat Pinot Noir which was 1/2 priced in January. My friend had the shrimp, chorizo Thai curry over jasmine rice. We loved every bite of food, the excellent service and the beautiful photography in the restaurant. Wonderful ambience and music. Will be back for sure!

Dinner last night was outstanding! The attention to details by Sharon was at par to some of the best restaurants in the world. The kitchen staff did a great job on their creation of food. Right from entering the restaurant to leaving one felt you were there guest. Well done to all who were involved in making this an evening! Complements to all!

My husband has dietary restrictions, specifically no salt. The chef was easily able to accommodate as everything is made from scratch while you wait. Wonderful experience!

Came here twice on our trip to/from the Sechelt area. Lots of options for vegans and omnis. Great portions. The large is perfect for leftovers the next day and small is great for one meal. Right now they are operating as take out / eat outside. You order inside and they bring it out to you. We sat on the deck which was covered and had heating lamps. There is also lots of seating at tables in the grassy area but those are best left for nicer and non-rainy days. First meal I had was the large coconut peanut noodle bowl with veggies and tofu (vegan). The second time I went I ordered the small Buddha bowl (vegan), not pictured oops. Both bowls had lots of fillings and sauce and were tasty. Order your sauce on the side if you don’t like tonnes of sauce. Inside the restaurant is great too because it’s set up like a store where you can buy wine, beer, frozen food they make, and other goodies and tasteful/locally made souvenirs. Highly recommend!

One of our favourite places to eat on the Sunshine Coast. Portions are big and everything is delicious. By far, the Gumboot has the better burgers and tacos than anyone else and their cocktails are deadly! Highly recommend it for a picnic or takeaway meal - their cute little store also has great local gifts and things. Thanks for always being wonderful :)

Good food... The pulled pork in the poutine a bit salty but otherwise delish. The burger was super yummy. Nice atmosphere in the back outdoor eating area. Nice n close to amazing ocean views 😍

Hi! We were super stoked to be coming back after 2 years away. Really enjoyed breakfast and the patio, even on a liquid sunshiy day.The food was exceptional and our Ceasars amazing!! However, we were dismayed to see that you have completely switched to disposable everything for eat in service... Eating out of paper takeout trays and plastic cups took away from our overall experience. The use of disposable items flies in the face of everything that represents the Sunshine Coast experience. We humbly hope you will transition back to a more sustainable way of serving your amazing food in the near future, for our enjoyment and the environmental impacts. 🙏🏼🌱♻️ Thank you!
