Kalok Seafood Restaurant - Richmond - Photo album

We asked the staff, verified that there was a change in ownership. Went with family around 10:00am, service was alright. Food was not fresh. Duck feet had fishy smell, beef tendons was rancid. The restaurant was half full but for some reason made 10 people wait 25 minutes to be seated. Once seated they tried forcing a $388 set menu meal. What the heck? The attitude was straight up hostile about it. This terrible restaurant cannot be recommended.
Went on a Sunday morning and the food is decent. At the time however, it would appear that this place is severely understaffed with barely one waiter/waitress seen at any given time. They should be prepared for all scenarios.
Bad business practice: used canned mushroom and others for dinner dish; $26 dish of Japanese style fried beef was full of vegetable. Mixed pork with beef, unethical. Never go again.
Dimsum is average. It's relatively less busy than other dimsum places in Richmond and is quite spacious. The dishes can be hit or miss, even for the same dish sometimes.
Came here for dim sum in the morning in a Saturday. Lots of parking and seating available. The food is not bad especially the chef's specials. Not well staffed so service is lacking.
Food is ok. Pretty good selection of dim sum. Authentic Chinese food. Lack of hostess to greet the customers at entrance, needs improvement.
