If you want to be fully exposed to the sunlight, getting roasted by the servers, and waited a hour and half to get your small portions overpriced food. Please go ahead to this restaurant. Great location, but will never go there again.

Can't really go wrong with any of the items on the menu. They have a crab special where it is two crabs for the price of $36, which is a steal. The clams were very big and very fresh. Food tastes good, would definitely go back! Was about $25 per person for a group of four.

Looking for traditional Chinese seafood dishes? Well Timmy Kitchen is the place to go. Their seafood is incredibly fresh (of course since they're right beside thr harbour)! So I highly recommend getting a seafood dish when you visit.
We had the steamed fish, fried crab, and the lobster and crab combo dish. Absolutely mouth-watering.
Their vegetable and meat dishes are also quite delicious, if you are visiting the restaurant with non-seafood lovers.
The place is small but they do have a lovely outdoor deck to dine on! Definitely worth giving this place a try.

Make sure to get their lobster & crab special. Used to be $29 but now gone up to $36; still good deal for a full crab and lobster though.
Steamed Oysters were delicious too.
I was worried when I saw the overall rating, but when I saw negative reviews ordered ginger beef, deep fried pork... I really think the people ordering need to do a bit more homework on authentic foreign food.

This was a first visit for me. Iâd walked past this place many times over the years but never gave it a thought. After all, this is Steveston; its out-of-the-way for me, and most of the time, when I come to this neighborhood, Iâm thinking fish n chips. Timmyâs menu covers a wide range of mostly cantonese cuisine, ranging from congee, chow mein and spring rolls, to general tsoâs chicken and ginger beef. The presence of such north americanized chinese dishes would typically be a caution sign to me. I wouldnât typically patronize such a restaurant.

The Exxon Valdez of Chinese food. If you like tasteless Chinese food floating in a giant oil slick, then Timmy's Kitchen is the place for you. Honestly, it takes a special talent to mess up a simple stir fry.

Tried their lobster/crab combo deal. Ended up with the deep fried exoskeleton of a few crustaceans, and virtually no meat. Maybe we forgot to specify that we wanted the edible parts.

The rest of the meal continued the pattern. All grease, no taste.

Don't waste your time here.

Nothing Special. Adequate Chinese food at good prices

Seriously good Chinese food!!. This was our first time trying Timmy Kitchen. Normally I don't even like 'take out' Chinese, but this was absolutely yummy. Delivery came in 40 min. rather than 'an hour'. Even my normally critical spouse pronounced it delicious. The portions was amazingly ample and the price really reasonable. The delivery person was friendly and we cannot wait to go and have a meal in the restaurant. Dishes we ordered were scallops with XO sauce: #91 (a bit of a kick, tender scallops, and lots of snow peas) and the beef and black bean with rice noodles:#167, also LOTS of vegies:) This place is even better than the restaurant that was the predecessor (Fisherman's Village,) which was good too.

First time we went here I thought it was pretty good, and not nearly as crowded as many of the Steveston restaurants. But the second time the food wasn't as good. It is a little more hidden, so the crowds don't see this place as easily. I'm not sure about consistency of food though, and the bathrooms needed some help.

Richmond is the playground of the chinese food enthusiast but when it comes to the West Richmond area it can be barren. Luckily when I need to get a fix close to home I can go to Timmy Kitchen...I'm not a big fan of their americanized chinese food - sweet and sour pork, etc.. but This is not their forte. Timmy Kitchen dies authentic chinese dishes well.

There is a good deal at this Chinese restaurant in Steveston Village. Buy one lobster at $19.99 and get a crab for free cooked in the same way. That sounds like a great deal right?
FollowMeFoodie
It's the only Chinese restaurant in Steveston Village and itâs hidden away as it should be. Looking at the menu choices I could tell it was catered for a Western clientele. It was Canadian Chinese style cuisine with Beef Broccoli, Deep Fried Wonton, and S
