Review Tri-ty Cafe - Richmond

Beef noodle was tasteless, beef not even tender. Their Taiwanese fried chicken nugget was subpar as well. Better off going to Aberdeen Centre.

Please dont go there. if you want taiwaness food i suggest going to bubble world. this place is very bad. their noodles were not hot. their bubble tea taste gross i ordered a honey green tea, it just tastes like water with sugar. and their fried chicken portion is rip off for 6.95$. Waitress had very bad attitude when we complained. Now i know why this place is always empty. Avoid!!!
Picky Diner
I had not been to this place for years, and barely remembered what was good. The dining room looked quite small but it was very clean and the decors were cute.

First we had Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken ($6.95). The bite sized chicken pieces was deep fried nicely, and they were quite flavourful from the special spiced salt. I could taste Chinese 5 spices.

...

We didn’t have an exciting dinner but it was not bad. The food was consistent. I wouldn’t be surprised that they have their own group of regular customers who come here for the comforting and familiar flavours.

Terrible!!!. Spending more time to make your menu more useful instead of pretty. Simply calling it spicy hot pot doesn't tell me anything other than its spicy. Is it pork? Beef? Lamb?? And I received a pot full of pig blood

Bad service, super oily food. It took a long time for all the food we ordered to arrive. I ordered the fried rice with chicken and at the bottom of the bowl after I finished my meal, I could see a pool of oil sitting there. The fried rice was very bland with the only flavoring coming from the bits of carrots peas and corn. Futhermore, we had to ask repeatedly for cutlery they missed and for a jug of water. Later, they forgot our drinks, giving them to us at the end of our meal when we were already done eating, and only after reminding them multiple times. When the drinks arrived, they forgot to put pearls in then too. We will not be going back.

Crap service, mediocre meal. I had my water filled once at the beginning. No table visits, order and pay at front.

Meal was small and mostly bones. Best part is that it was cheap.

Terrible food and no service.. I bring my 20 friends there after our group studying, all I got is staff kept complaining that our group affecting their normal business, we get in there at 6:30pm, when we about to leave at 8:30pm, still have 3 ppl did not get their dishes

After waiting for half an hour for 6 drinks and one shaved ice, the waitress came over and said our order was never placed because they lost our order sheet! The place wasn't even busy!!

Good food, but there's room for improvement. My boyfriend and I ate here yesterday for late lunch. We were seated fairly quickly and checked out the menu. I liked how there was a lot of variety and we could just use the check-list instead of telling the server our order. We ordered the honey chicken nuggets, taiwanese chicken cutlet, taro smoothie, and strawberry milk tea.

The service was pretty fast. My boyfriend and I enjoyed our food, except the taiwanese chicken cutlet was border-line raw. It kind of scared me, but I ate it anyway. We liked our food. As for the bbt, the taro smoothie is actually fresh taro, which we didn't want!

The servers were pretty friendly. The prices were decent. I'd come back here as I actually like their food selection. Really good restaurant.

Always Good. I've been there about 8-10 times for lunch. The service is always fine, but the food is excellent. The beef noodle soup, and the wrapped beef roll are wonderful. It takes some time to get the food, but it is worth the wait. It's more to relax, then grab and go.

What a shame, the food is good, but poor service and very uncomfortable atmosphere.

Served me raw pork!!. Our side dish came with a sushi like roll with completely raw pork inside. Totally UNCOOKED & UNACCEPTABLE. Eat here at your own risk, these people don't have food safety in mind obviously. Did not compensate us in any way. You've been warned.

Good Food. The bbt there are ok.. i think.. but i like the wide variety of food selections. Although the food is a bit more pricey than the other bbt places, but the taste is pretty good.

I went with my husband and my 21 mo baby for dinner. The owner insisted the same minimum order apply to my baby. When i order milk for her they say they dont sell it. But when i ask if i can go out to buy some, the owner said they would sell me a glass of milk as a order of their regular drink ($4.95). I will never go there again

Milk Tea... Get it Hot!!!. After you get past the amusing footnote on the signage explaining what the triple reference is in the business name, you step into a world that seems to be from the other side of the world.

With its very Asian decor, complete with one open booth with some softer seating (that we managed to snag after initially rebuffed, but apparently having a Mandarin speaker in our group gave us the right "cred" to be granted access to this little corner).

I ordered the classic, milk tea, but got it hot. It came in a large glass mug. Must say its great heated up like this, and the pearls were excellent.

Two others in our party had what was listed on the menu as Galpis, but I think is really Calpis-based drinks. At night, the one fake ice cube inside the cups that were seemingly activated by the electrolytes or something in the drink , lit up for show. Kinda of tacky? Yes. But interesting nonetheless.

For a bubble tea place in Richmond, tri-ty has a lot of work to do. Their décor is nice, but the food and drink are just about par. There is no reason to go here over other places like Pearl Castle, Go Go Tea, or even Zephyr.

They do have a proper book menu, but you order by ticking off the dishes on a paper menu. I decided to try their Three-Spice Chicken...

The mango pudding was really good and soft. My friend liked the tofu appetizer a lot too. Overall, all the food I tried was good (none tasted poorly).
Tastyvancity
Tri-ty esteems itself in its “tasty-ness, Quality and Quantity”- the three -ty’s hence the restaurant’s name: Tri-ty. We’ve always found this a little ludicrous, but the food really makes up for it.

Their menu has been updated and it appears there are more selection. But I find there is a sly/sneakiness aspect to the presentation. There are no prices listed anywhere on the menu. They entice you with pictures first (smart move on their part) then you check the order slip where the prices are listed.

Despite the rice setback, I still think Tri-ty is always a solid pick for Taiwanese food and drink. I love their selection of ice cold slushes and ice cream drinks. Make sure to do yourself a favour and get the house special spicy beef noodles.

...a good friend of mine suggested Tri-Ty Cafe. It was a bright, cute and busy place. Since we were heading to another friend's place for lunch, I brushed it aside then and just took one to go.

Around the Lower Mainland, a gazillion Bubble Tea places are sprinkled neatly in residential districts, shopping centres, and strip malls. Many of them, like Tri-ty Café, serve food as well; these are known as Taiwanese style restaurants. I've been told b

My friend has been talking about this Taiwanese restaurant in Richmond with awesome popcorn chicken that his friends brought him to. Last week it was my turn to try it out. They were hyping it up a lot! I obviously ordered the Popcorn Chicken , but also ordered a Beef Roll . Our group of 5 actually also got even more popcorn chicken. I think 4 in total, along with a Chicken Cutlet, and a Sweet and Sour version of the popcorn chicken. Yup, it must be that good right? The other dish we ordered was the Taiwanese Sausage. The cooks in the back were shocked that we had 4 orders of popcorn chicken (2 with rice, 2 without), I guess I would be too. My popcorn chicken meal was also served with rice, and 3 side dishes - tofu, chop suey, and green beans. I'll admit the popcorn chicken is good! The amount of chicken is quite a lot. This isn't like some places where it's all batter, or just slivers of chicken. These are nice big juicy chunks. The breading was very flavourful, and crisp. H

Tri-Ty Café is a brightly lit bubble tea house that attracts people of all ages, similar to Pearl Castle. It’s comfortable and they have a lot of options for snacks, drinks and meals. People go for lunch or dinner and everything on the menu is served all

Originally we were planning to go to Bubble Queen, but I have so far been thwarted by their hours…damnit. Anyways, Margo suggested Tri-Ty instead so we came here instead. The way you order at Tri-Ty is they give you these menus, and beside each item is a

I’ve recently received a question from a Bellingham resident regarding Chinese cuisine. Just so it’s easier for her to see my reply, I will post it here. Here’s her question: “ I am from Bellingham and would like to learn about real Chinese cuisine. The options that I have here are nothing like what you present. My biggest interest is noodles: how to order, what to look for, how to eat. Also, I am very intrigued by hot pots (which base do I order?) and dumplings. I am an adventurous eater, but I don’t think that duck tongue is on my wish list. Could you or any of your readers guide me through Richmond? I will be eating at Northern Delicacy today! Thank you! “ My disclaimer is, these are obviously just my humble views. She did ask for guidance from my readers too so feel free to post your advice in the comments section! Hi Catherine thanks for visiting! I’ll answer the hotpot question first. I have most experience in Hk-style hotpot. I find that the

It seems like we Richmondites living south of the City Hall are second class citizens. Until TODAY, the side streets are still a mess … it is passable but we still have our four lane street relegated to a single lane. Despite the warmer air the past two
