Review Bauhinia Restaurant - Richmond

Above average HK Cafe restaurant. Food came quick and portion was not bad. Taste is delicious. Prices were more expensive but meal include soup, hot drink, dinner roll bun ,which is more than typical HK places. Inside consists of TVs with HK channels, decorations were pretty neat. Spacious seating area. Free plaza parking. Will come again to enjoy other dishes!

Second time visiting this Cantonese restaurant! Ordered the same dishes and they are consistently good! Highly recommend! The price is reasonable and the staff is friendly and professional!

One of very few HK Style Cafes left in the lower mainland. The tastes are pretty authentic to the HK style. The portions are pretty reasonable for the price. The ambiance is what you'd expect from this style of restaurant, pretty casual and laid back. If you can get a booth, it's pretty comfy to sit in, the tables in the middle can get a bit cramped but overall the decor could use a bit of a refresh. The worst thing about this place is the parking. Good luck trying to find a spot during peak lunch or dinner time, so either get there earlier or after the prime meal times to find a spot or expect to circle around the near by neighbourhood for street parking which I have done on many many occassions.

I would say this is a higher quality Hong Kong Cafe restaurant. Their bun that came with the soup was super delicous. It was like a homemade sweet bun, soft and fluffy, like those Chinese bakery savory buns only with no filling. The soup tasted very flavourful and was not too salty and veggie rich. The ox tail in wine sauce with garlic veggies and spaghetti was DELISH. The ox tail was very tender and disintegrates with your fork poking it since that's how soft and tender and buttery the meat is. The only downside was my almond tea was too watered down... Like not enough almond powder mix that it basically tasted like water with faint almond flavoring. Otherwise, a good place for a standard nice dinner.

This is one of a few Hong Kong Style Cafe left in town. Redbud has always been consistent with their food quality and service, within a strip mall sharing with 7-11 and a popular Chinese Restaurant next door, parking can be an issue if you come during peak hours or weekends, luckily there are some street parking nearby. Must order dishes: German Style Pork Hock, Grilled NY Steak with Black Peppercorn Sauce!

Usually come here for dinner for special occasions as they have a special menu usually. The food always tastes really good and I like the plating. They have a nice host and waiter who used to work his ass off for his job but now I heard he's quit due to poor management and so I probably won't be back.

Is a good place for hk style steak and dinner. Price is fair and good service.

Been coming here on and off since the Bauhimia/Bauhinia days at the original location. I can only speak for the western dishes which consistently offer great flavours and good value for one of the better "HK cafes" around. The photos are one of the specials on the set NYE menu: duck wellington which was delicious (if you like beef wellington). Seafood salad was good and chowder was ok as starters.

5 stars The waitresses are very friendly to strangers, rare. Many other chinese resturants treat customers impolitely. Good tastes and resonable prices . Good choice

The service is good, and prices are reasonable. Full cha chaan teng menu items, but not too many choices in terms of snacks/appetizers, though they have toasts and sandwiches. Quite clean.

Classic Hong Kong style bistro focused on "western" plates such as steak and rice, pan fried chicken or seafoods in sauces, or baked rice/spaghetti with creamy sauces. They also serve Cantonese classic fried noodles and rice dishes. Good HK style coffee and teas as well. Flavors are on the mild side and overall quality is good.

Foods good. Atmosphere is typical loud HkStyle Restaurant. Price is a bit expensive, but pretty worth it.
