Review Bubble Waffle Cafe - Richmond

I will give zero stars. Very rude old lady with glasses (who refused to give me her name), the food portion has gone down big time as you can see in the picture (hainan chicken in laksa soup noodle), the most gross bubble waffle (the lady refused to remake another one because she said they all look the same). The lady had made about 20 drinks in advance, left on countertop, so don’t even bother customizing, she won’t make a new one. I also had 2 stamp cards that I wanted to make into 1 but she refused that too. I don’t understand how they stay still in business.

It’s the first time I’m here. Ordered “Three spices chicken rice (三杯雞飯)” and below you can see what I got. Told them that’s “Salt fried chicken rice (鹽酥雞飯)” which is wrong…Their reply was “No, that’s Three spices chicken…”. Honestly I tried the taste to confirm, the fact…really is Salt fried chicken…not to mention it tasted very dry and cold… Feel like being lied to, and they refused to give what you actually ordered. Ordered less ice for the drink and ended up with half cup of ice… Definitely not giving it another chance. Regret of not looking at the google review before ordering here.

The food is disgusting. The service is useless, and clearly can't figure out how to count. Front counter told me that they are working on 65 which comes before 66 (me). Meanwhile they serve multiple people who ordered after me. It wouldn't be so annoying if their food was half decent. Look at the image. This is what you call Hianese Chicken? Please...

These waffle cakes used to be so good! What happened to this location? The waffle is limp (let alone crispy) and burned, no condense milk, so little peanut butter. They used to be dripping with the filling! It’s NOT worth the price anymore. Not coming back again.

Under new management. The servers are very nice, especially the one I always see wearing glasses. I’ve seen her go out her way to serve her customers. The food is much better, portions and taste wise. Keep it up!

Order an iced lemon tea today. I have never gotten a lemon tea with practically no lemon slices. The drink had only 1 full slice of lemon, then another half or just lemon rind. It was basically just sweetened black tea, and it costed $3. I will not be back to this location for this classic simple drink.

The reviews don't lie, this is *THE WORST BUBBLE WAFFLE LOCATION IN RICHMOND*!! Lid on the soup container wasn’t on right. Major facepalm. And obviously, customer service doesn't exist here which is fine but how can the same franchise have such awful tasting bubble waffles?! They were cold, soggy and looked like they had mold in it (see for yourself in the photo)- SO GROSS! What a waste of my money!! TIP- ALL the other locations in Richmond have 10% off when ordering thru the app, Lansdowne does not.

I used to like this place before but when I ordered my usually (fish noodle soup with laksa base), it taste bland and I didn’t see any fish on it. It’s all processed fish balls inside and there’s more veggies than noodles. And their waffle is soggy as well together with iced tea taste like water-sugar. So disappointing. Maybe that’s my last order that will be made.

Used to like eating here but not only has the quality declined but the poor customer service crossed the line in an unforgivable manner today. Ordered takeout for two today, but only got one set of chopsticks, and one order was missing the fresh fish slices. Wife went back to get the fish slices and the cook angrily threw in one small slice of fish. Went back to complain again and they basically implied we were lying. Please. For a slice of fish.

We used their online system to order the food ahead of time. It was very efficient and convenient! After you placed an order online, the system would provide an order number and an ETA on the pickup time of the food. <br/><br/>We went to the stall and pick up the food once it was ready. We paid at the counter without waiting. It is similar to Starbucks who has online order and pickup in store. Customers who are tech savvy must like this online ordering system. <br/><br/>The food tasted great especially their waffle egg balls. The pricing was cheaper at the stall in a food court than the one in restaurants. We like to eat here or order takeout once in a while.

I was their customer since they opened at Lansdowne mall. I don't go there often but I used to go there from time to time. I haven't been there for a while and I noticed that things have changed recently. I also go to the one at Aberdeen. I don't know if this one is the same owner as the one at Aberdeen, but they are different in some ways:<br/><br/>Food: for the customized noodle soup, this location has some toppings that the one at Aberdeen does not have, and the one at Aberdeen has some toppings that this location does not have. The one at Aberdeen seems to have more toppings to choose from while the soup base and the choices of noodles are the same for both locations. Also, this location has created some food items which seems expensive (e.g. Kurobuta pork with rice) that the one at Aberdeen does not have; the one at Aberdeen has maintained the basic food items that they used to have since they opened at Aberdeen. <br/><br/>Service: I had ordered the customized noodle soup for take-out at both locations. The staff at both locations might or might not say thank-you, but the one at Aberdeen would put the soup in a separate container, tied the bag and would hand you the package. This one at Lansdowne seems to give a little more for the noodle soup but they have no service. The service was better when they first opened; now they go downhill. The service for the one at Aberdeen is obviously better.<br/><br/>There used to be a line up at this one in Lansdowne with a long wait time even on week nights, but now there are just a couple of people in front of me with nearly no wait time. Ever wonder why? I would go to the one at Aberdeen from now on if the customized noodle soup is the same price with the same taste at both locations. Unless you want the 'specialty' items created by this one at Lansdowne like Hainan chicken or duck on rice.

Bubble Cafe is a chain of noodle restaurants across the lower mainland.  The newest location is located in the Lansdowne Mall food court.  They took over a corner unit and we’ve noticed they brought a lot of new foot traffic to the usually quiet food court. Their popular menu item is the combo noodle with 2 items for around $6.  Before ordering at the till, you can pick up one of their menus at the counter and check off items you want.  Pencils are provided.  There is a wide selection of soups ranging from plain to spicy.  There are also lots of different meats and veggie toppings that you can choose.

When it rains, Ben and I will walk in the mall. Rain will not deter us from our daily goal of walking 10,000 steps. On one of the day that we were walking in the Lansdowne mall, Ben tempted me to have lunch at the Bubble Waffle Cafe. Since it’s still early, there is no wait. If you come at peak lunch hour, there is usually a line. This is one of the busiest stall in the Lansdowne foodcourt.

Grabbed something light at Aberdeen Centre. They have good bubble waffle, crispy outside but a little too hollow inside. Crazy spiral potatoes and sweet and spicy tofu were too hard and tasted so so. Milk tea and lemon honey water was ok as well. Price point's affordable, can't complain. However, it was long line ups and took us 20 minutes for the food to be prepared.

Line ups are always long, decent for mall food. Drink plus bubble waffle and noodles for about 8 bucks pretty good for a combo mall food prices meal.

Atmosphere 0/1<br/>It's in a food court, the line up is always long, the order line completely blocks the pick up window - drives me crazy trying to get my food. Also everyone is at edge and a tad angry from a combination of wait time (order and pick up) and poor service. Saw multiple people budge in line - a young punk got all in the face at other customer and was spewing nasty profanities. <br/><br/>Service 0/1 <br/>The young man at the resister really has no customer service skills at all - makes me angry. If you are craving the DIY noodles or bubble waffle thing (they do have delicious bubble waffles) then hit up the Aberdeen location instead of Lansdowne

I tried their oreo bubble waffle after lunch on July 1st. It's crispy and tasty. Its long line around 3pm. But it's not long line up as the abardeen center branch.<br/><br/>September 12th <br/>I tried their cumin squid after shopping in downtown. . It's tasty and tendor. . But the milk tea is tasteless
