Great place def worth the visit. This place only has sushi, traditional bento boxes but also has stuff like books, stationary, baby items and etc in a small little corner close to the exit. It also has a small baked goods area as well as a few special fresh and frozen grocery items. You get the feel
One of my favourite place to grab Japanese takeout. The bento boxes are phenomenal. Just don't go too late, they're usually sold out by 2-3pm. Love walking around the store because they bring in rather unique products from Japan like instant Ramen, and other types of snacks. Yes some things are more
I would say it's a good place to go and shopping. There are lots of original Japanese brand products here. Many different kind of Japanese food, deserts, daily necesseries, etc. Especially the Japanese bento/sushi. Those are fresh made everyday. 🍱 Honestly, I love this place, cuz I love Japanese cul
I recently had the pleasure of stepping into a Japanese supermarket, and I must say, it was a delightful journey into the heart of Japanese culture and culinary wonders. This supermarket truly captures the essence of Japan, offering an impressive array of authentic Japanese products that cater to bo
Literally it got everything Japanese you might find in this mart. A nice place to get your fav Japanese snack!
Love coming here to grab some bento boxes on the go which is made daily. Really affordable.
One of our family traditions is having Osechi (Japanese New Year food) in the morning. Over the past few years we’ve ordered from Izumiya in Richmond. The quality is always good and it looks impressive 😊 This is the 3-tray set that came out this year, filled with a variety of traditional Japanese di
For grocery store (yes I know it’s a Japanese specialty store) the sushi and sashimi bowls are incredible. Crazy fresh fish for a really cheap price. If I lived close by I’d be going here every week!
A great Japanese store with excellent sushi, bento boxes, bowls and curry to take home and enjoy. I've been coming here for years.
Izumiya is one of a few Japanese grocery/goods stores in Richmond. Upon entering and going clockwise, they have sections with: rice and mochi cakes; fruits and vegetables like kabocha squash, sweet potatoes, shishito peppers, gobo root, naganegi, daikon, enoki/white and brown shimeji/shiitake mushro
Love coming here for their bento boxes more than others. But they always do sales on their korean bbq meat and hotpot meat
I recently visited Izumiya Japanese Marketplace in Richmond, which is within walking distance from my home. I was blown away by the deliciousness of their food - we had three types of noodles and an order of chicken karate, and every dish was fantastic. My favorite was the one with the spicy soup.
Been getting bento boxes from them for years! Love the authentic Japanese food there. Also not too expensive either! Whenever we crave for some legit Japanese food, we can always count on this place. They have affordable bento boxes but also traditional delicacy such as this one for New Year’s Day.
Great selection of Japanese staples and take home meals - at reasonable price point too!
Huge variety of food and goods. Really feels like anything Japanese you need, you can get here. There's even a housewares and book section.
Great selection of food and good quality. Service was a bit slow but it was very busy when we went. Friendly hostess and fun experience having Japanese food similar to a Korean BBQ.
There are lots of Japanese snacks and food, stationary, and ready to eat food. The quality of the food matches up with the price. The staff are nice and I would come back if I wanted to eat cheap bentos or sushi!
