Review The Deluxe Chinese Restaurant - Richmond

Henry Chen
Had geoduck, crab soup, grouper and other seafood in the private room today. Food was excellent, really fresh and nicely done. Designated server waited our table, she was excellent. Nice and spacious private room, perfect for intimate and private gathering. We had so much fun and left the last when they were actually closing but didn’t push us to leave. I used to come a lot for dim sum brunch, biggest problem was even if you have made reservation, you had to wait for at least 30min to be seated. Their lunchtime is always busy, dim sum is great, nice interior, good service. Overall it’s one of my favourite dim sum restaurants.

Usually come here for dim sum as their congee is probably best in town for dim sum standard. But talking about dinner it is tasty and presented nicely. Service is top notch with constant changing of plates. Good place to do a birthday dinner.

** Attention please, Tea and water are NOT free ** Regardless how good the cuisines were, THIS(look at my receipt)should have been informed us in advance. Tea and water are $6?? If I knew it in advance, I would not have waited in line for so long and just go to other restaurant. This is ridiculous. I have never paid for water when dine-in. And anyway foods were just average taste. So if you think this restaurant is very special because of long line up, please re-consider it. Honestly this place is not that great. It is just interior decoration that blindfolds us not being able to see the the quality of cuisines and what are on the receipt.

My favorite dim sum restaurant. The shrimp dumplings and egg tarts are the must-have. By the way, the tea is always hot, which I love very much. Reasonable price and nice service that I highly recommend.

It is often said that this is the best dim sum place in BC. I finally got a chance to visit it with my friends at the last day of 2021. I have to say the overall dinning experience is wonderful and we enjoyed the outstanding last dim sum feast in 2021🤗 We ordered: 🌟cordycep flowers and pork bone congee🌟 🌟baked Portuguese style tarts🌟 🌟supreme dumplings with scallop and truffles🌟 🌟steamed creamy beetroot custard buns🌟 🌟house special wild rice rolls🌟 🌟rice rolls with beef and egg🌟 🤩I am not a congee dim sum person but so many ppl recommend their congee so I gave it a try. OUTSTANDING! You can the efforts and time they put into this pot of congee, the ingredients were visible and recognized! 😍I also recommend their rice rolls, BOTH of them. The red one has crispy curd and shrimp paste fillings, they were complimented with XO sauce and peanut butter( I love to mix them together and dip the rice roll in) 😋Egg tart was good, but small in size. 😊Truffle siu Mai tasted good but average quality. 😟I don’t like the custard buns though, disappointed buns skin. Luckily, we got a seat immediately( social distancing friendly seating) and didn’t wait in line! 📍The Deluxe Chinese Restaurant 4260 No.3 Rd, Richmond

Very good! Slightly expensive but worth it. Truffle fried rice is our favorite. The restaurant is too busy. We have to rush to finish because too many people are waiting.

The Deluxe Chinese Restaurant lives up to their name. This modern looking restaurant is located in Richmond on the corner of Browngate and No. 3 Road. The ultra tall ceilings, well-appointed interior, and multi-panel large screen tv are the first things that hit you when you enter. Arriving around 10:30am on a Sunday, there were a moderate number of diners here but we managed to secure a table (there was a lineup by the time we left).

Hello my foodie friends! Last weekend we went to the Deluxe Chinese Restaurant and it has become my newest restaurant discovery. The Deluxe Chinese restaurant is located across from Aberdeen mall and there is a relatively large parking lot beside it which makes it accessible to diners.

October 11, 2017 · by JuliaEats · As per the restaurants name the decor is quite classy compared to most dim sum places! Of course that comes with a price, nothing ridiculous but expect it to be slightly pricer. Service wasn’t the best which was expected but I was hoping otherwise as they’re “deluxe.” Food wise

Deluxe Seafood Restaurant is one of the newer Chinese eatery in Richmond. Located at 4260 No 3 Road and Browngate Road (next Aberdeen Mall). It took over the space that once was home to HKYK Seafood Hot Pot Restaurant. Gone are cheap all day dim sum and hot pot. Instead, the space has been completely transformed and renovated into a higher end seafood and dim sum restaurant.

The Deluxe Chinese Restaurant is located in Richmond just off of No 3 Road by Aberdeen Mall. We were invited to try their dim sum items on the menu and of course I couldn’t say no. This restaurant just opened up recently and they serve up dim sum, sushi, sashimi, and regular Chinese dinner items.

First of its kind in Richmond, a Chinese restaurant that serves up sashimi with trained chefs! Introducing the Deluxe Chinese Restaurant. The word ‘Deluxe’ is all encompassing here, with seafood delicacies like sea cucumber to lobster, this place literally has it all. This restaurant is from a chain in China and the team of chefs get train in China first.

Today I was here by invitation of local social media influencer, @tinahuanghuang. Her friend had an affiliation with the newly opened restaurant. So as is the case with all the dinners I attend as media, I recognize that when it comes to a tasting: plating and portion size may be gussied up and/or paired down, and the service will usually be top notch. Though I can at least paint you the most accurate image when it comes to the food and the setting, as how I interpret it. But as always, these are my opinions and you need not take them as fact. Unless you have my exact background, have lived my exact experiences, and we possess the same tongue; no one can truly taste and appreciate as you do.

Food is pretty good would definitely go back. There is a wait depending on what time you go but other than that the service is good and so is the food
Every Day Is A Food Day
The Deluxe Chinese Restaurant opened up a few months ago in Richmond. It is located next to Yuan’s Shanghai Serendipity. The restaurant offers dim sum in the early mornings and lunch and switches to Cantonese cuisine for dinner service. What is more interesting is that they serve sushi and sashimi during dim sum service. Yes…that is a sushi bar behind the counter. Honestly, that made me question the food even more because who comes to a dim sum restaurant for sushi?

The food taste okay, but the one like egg white fried rice tastes nothing. Service wasn't that good. They forgot the

August 4, 2017

3 of us had reservation at 1:30pm.. it's end up ... need to wait for 45 minutes to get seats. The hostess gave seats to regular customers without reservation.

Most of the waiters were space out/ walk like a horse/ took them forever to give us anything that we asked for.

We had :
Braised pigeon -- extremely dried and not worth for $29

Steamed small dim sum platter -- colorful and tasty, worth for $9 for 6 pieces

Braised pork feet with plum sauce -- can't taste any plum sauce, just taste strong soya sauce with a lot of ginger and the meat was not soft enough.

Pan fried radish cake -- I like this one most... a lot of real radish inside instead of powder

Steamed bitter melon with chicken rice roll... nothing special

Green tea mango crepes for dessert... look bad... but taste good..
We paid $90 for 3 people.. not expensive...

December 6, 2016
A lot of people said that, it's pretty expensive and food are small portion. Why not give it a try?!
I went there for lunch with mom today. We tried their:
Shark fin dumplings in soup (so so, nothing special, took them half hour to make it)
Sticky rice wrapped with chicken and chinese sausage (I saw a lot people highly recommended on Facebook, it's end up.. nothing special)
Pan fried radish cake (it's good/ a lot of ingredients inside)
Stired fried spareribs with herbs and jalapeño ( it's not that spicy, but tasty)
Country style steamed crystal noodles with minced pork (it's huge portion/ noodles are smooth and tasty with their special sauce).
Good services from the vice manager, who wear glasses, he always bowed to us. But not much selection from their lunch menu.
I checked their dinner menu is about same price as shanghai river restaurant. Not expensive as people said.
