Review Haidilao Hot Pot - Richmond

Came here with a friend for lunch at around 11:15AM on a weekday. It was really empty as they were just opening up. This was my first time being here and I was impressed with the customer service. I'm not a huge hot pot person but the customer service and the diversity of sauces definitely made it a great place. Food came quick and was good. Overall, enjoyed the experience and will definitely be coming back again.

My wife and I went here on a whim after we landed from Boston. We were looking for an Asian restaurant that was open late and didn’t really check the reviews. Have to say this was one of the best hot pot places we’ve ever been to. The service is top notch. The staff was friendly and always made sure our drinks were filled. The sauce bar has unlimited side dishes and fruits. The meat and vegetables was very fresh as well. I like that they also had a snack bar near the hostess station. You’re definitely not going to leave this place hungry and I highly recommend this place.

It’s my third time visiting HaiDiLao in Richmond. I’m a huge fan of hot pot, and HaiDiLao is always the one of the best place to go in Vancouver! Everything is so clean here,and food is always fresh and delicious. Me and my friends were really enjoying Lichia and Juno’s services, they were extremely attentive and friendly, they are the best! As well as the rest of the staff who continually checked up on us :) Service here is 10/10 !There’s always someone to look after you without having to ask. They even provide aprons,hair ties and glasses wipes , how sweet are they ❤️ Thank you again for celebrating my birthday!I had a really wonderful night here. Will definitely recommend to others !!!

Great service, superb entertainment, one of the best hot pot broths you can find and the ingredients especially the marinated meat are good. Tomato broth is a must have! Meat balls, shrimp balls, fish paste and so much more! If it's your first time here, please order the flying noodles and note that there is a special face changing cultural dance at 7pm. Every staff working in there aims to please. While waiting for your table, there are drinks, snacks and games to be played. Although somewhat lacking. Compared to the HDLs in Asia, I believe it's considered a great standard for Vancouver.

Friend recommended this place so we tried it for my birthday dinner tonight. First, seats were very comfortable and your given aprons to wear to protect from spashes. The staff was very friendly. Everyone said hi when we arrived and bye when we left. Everyone was very helpful with explaining the menu and choices. We had 6 people and ordered the comb for 4 and choose the 4 soup base option. Beware of the traditional spice soup base. Even though we ordered it a bit mild was still very spicy but tasty. Combo for 4 was enough for everyone but I did order some extras. Food was fresh and very delicious, especially the seafood! Your given a tablet to make your order on. Brilliant idea. The combo comes with complimentary plum juice jug, side sauces from the sauce bar and ice cream for dessert. Must try spot! It's a bit pricey but you'll leave satisfied like we did!

Exceptional 5 star customer service. From when we got in, to when we finished our meal and walked out. This place keeps giving surprises, enjoyable atmosphere and delicious food. We didn’t want to leave. I highly recommend this place, and I’ll definitely be visiting again. From the robot bringing our food to our table, to our servers considering every little detail - like they knew my eye glasses would fog up, they gave me wipes to clean my glasses even before our meal arrived.. to giving us hair ties to tie our hair so it doesn’t get in our food, and aprons. Our servers continued to ensure we were enjoying our meal, and having a good time. The birthday song with the works is so special too. This place is a gem in Richmond! It was an amazing experience.

Second time at HaiDiLao but first time at their Richmond location at No3 Rd and Westminster Hwy. Just like at their Vancouver locale, the level of service here stands out. Everything you need to enjoy your hot pot meal including cloth aprons to prevent pesky splatters, hair ties, wipes for your glasses, disposable gloves... Etc. Servers are anxious to ensure you don't have to fill your own water glass with the jug of lemon water that sits by your table. And don't try to take your food off of those cat robot servers... The wait staff will rush over if they see you having to lift a finger. Food options are pretty good. We went with a split of mushroom broth and pork bone soup to go with our fatty pork, assorted veggies, shrimp balls, taro, quail eggs, udon noodles, and fish tofu. And don't forget about the Chapman's ice cream at the end. You pay extra for the sauce bar but it's worth it and includes a few appy dishes like congee and spicy seaweed. Overall, a very enjoyable place for hot pot.

This hotpot place had 4 separate soup containers and I especially loved their Kobe beef. Very soft even when I overcooked them. It was $45ish for the Kobe, but definitely worth it. I would highly recommend!

Usually, restaurants would want you out the door after you've paid, but as we were getting ready to leave, our server Jack, went above and beyond and used hair ties to help roll up my yoga mat properly (as we came from yoga). Aside from hair ties (offered to keep hair out of the way and not for yoga mats (I can relate to both)), you also get wet lens wipes to clean your specs from the hot pot splashes. #SoExtra or #WellThoughtOut<br/><br/>The kung-fu noodles is served with a live hand-pulling noodle demo with their signature master dressed in white. However, we actually preferred the regular noodles as I find that the texture is tastier and more consistent. Highly recommend ordering those noodles! Food was all very fresh and you can choose up to 4 different soup bases! Also, I love cilantro, so having that at the sauce bar gave me the option to eat as much as I wanted :) (unlimited congee and edamame beans as well)<br/><br/>I've heard about the phenomenal wait times in which they provide various services (massages, gel nails, etc.) during the wait (at their restaurants in Asia). We came at 2pm and so we did not have to wait a second for seats (unfortunately). As crazy as it sounds, I'd like to come back next time and experience their wait line!

Absolutely the best service ever. We have been here for the first time and love the service, ambience and food! Would definitely come back. Highly recommend!

3.5. We ordered the set menu that came with drinks and dessert. The food was solid, but for the price we paid we were expecting more. The service was outstanding, our server consistently refilled our drinks and cooked some of the food for us. It get’s really busy so make sure you go early!
