R&H is situated inside the Landsdowne mall.
Freshly made dumplings and buns are their signature selections. The flavour is well balanced and buns are well prepared.
Plenty of seating is available in the food court area.
Today we were traveling around Richmond, taking on the “Dumpling Trail”, a self guided tour that took you on a journey to taste 13 different kinds of dumplings across 20 different restaurants, all vetted and vouched for by “Tourism Richmond”. And this brought us to Landsdowne centre. I wouldn’t think to visit their food court for some quality dumplings, but here we were and they did not disappoint. A few of my travelling companions have visited this stand prior to, and each confirmed how busy they get and continue to be throughout the day. I saw it for myself as lines grew, bodies were willing to wait, and customers posed for photos in front of their counter.
Located inside Lansdowne Centre's food court this place was featured on Mikey Chen's Youtube Channel "Strictly Dumpling" check it out he's got some amazing food reviews i ordered the Xiao Long Bao and Boiled Pork Dumplings with Chives, both dishes were mouth watering delicious he suggested adding vinegar and hot chilli oil 100% correct i would highly recommended this place, please note this place gets quite busy
Everything was amazing except for the pan fried dumplings, for which the skin was too thick. Would recommend the pork and chive dumplings and the hot and sour beef vermicelli soup.
R&H Chinese Food is a food stall located in the Lansdowne Centre food court. Normally, you wouldn’t think that you could find good xiao long bao in a food court (unless you’re talking about Xu’s Wonton House aka Shanghai Dim Sum House in Crystal Mall). I ordered the Combo A with Steamed Juicy Buns and Rice Noodle Soup ($9.89). The combo really wasn’t worth it because the rice vermicelli was lacking in quantity and flavour… it was basically a small bowl of hot, clear soup with a few puffs, springs of green and less vermicelli than you’d find in a side order of sunomono.
Ignore all the snobs about service when has a Chinese resto ever prided itself on its service... It's a God damn food court stall, but it has the best XLBs and juicy dumplings in Richmond and Vancouver.
Good price and good food
I tried the XLB , pork dumplings and beef noodle soup
For a food court location the XLB are great...pretty close to the best I have tasted which is the Crystal mall vendor located in the corner ( sorry don't know the name)
Dumplings are made to order they were the right consistency and chewiness
Finally beef noodle soup was pretty good. Beef had the right amount of flavour and the noodles were pretty good. They were a bit soft but that might be due to the fact I was eating the other stuff first and allowed it to cook
I heard that the xiao long bao was really good here. I visited this food stall in the late afternoon on Saturday. There was definitely no lineup.
I tried many good xiao long bao in different restaurants but this xiao long bao at a food court in Landsdowne Mall was pretty good. This food stall has many other type of Chinese food. I would like to try them one day. Their pricing was reasonable.
This is my favourite food court stall. They serve restaurant quality shanghainese food at food court prices. All their food is made fresh so expect a bit of a wait. I especially like their beef noodles. It's got super tender, but fatty, beef and flavourful broth. Their noodles are also super delicious. They're obviously homemade and have a great texture. Their xiao long baos are also made fresh so they have tons of juice.

I’m kind of sad to think that Lansdowne Mall will be replaced by condos in a matter of years. My parents used to take me here when I was really little and I’ll never forget the cool things like Bonkers, hexagonal seats, Toys R Us and the food court. More so the food court for me nowadays – a lot of small, family owned businesses here will be shuttering and hopefully they’ll find another place to open up shop. One that I admittedly have not tried until just now is R&H Chinese Food. Many say this is one of the best places for Xiao Long Bao (ie the Soup Dumplings). And after seeing Mijune’s post on Instagram about it, I just had to check it out myself.
If you’re looking for affordable fast food, this place is worth checking out. Both the noodle soups and the soup dumplings were amazing. The line ups get a bit long but their service is quick.
I frequently come here for lunch and dinner. They’re dumplings and soups are absolutely delicious for a fair price. They are quite popular within that cafeteria. It’s all freshly made by two lovely ladies at the front. You can even watch them make the dumplings by hand - it’s as if their hands work 24/7 each day I’m there!
I'm visiting from Toronto and looked up where I could get some soup dumplings. They were definitely very yummy! Also got some fried pork dumplings with chives. It can get pretty busy especially during lunch so prepare to wait.
Really good food. The XLB were so JUICY! The onion pancake and the beef noodle were also good. I think they should get more staff though because the cashier was really stressed and kind of rude.

Surprisingly discovered this through regularly watching strictly dumpling on youtube a few years ago, so thank you Mike! This place has now been in my top 5 go to places ever since. 😅
The 3 items I usually order are
xiao long bao - perfect balance of the wrapper, not too thick or thin and packs quite a bit of soup.
chinese burger - good spices, not too strong and bread has a good chew to it, would definitely add spicy flavor to enhance.
scallion pancakes - good serving size for it's price, its filling and flavorful.
But i would definitely recommend the boiled dumplings! They're like a meatier mini xiao long bao!
Everything is delicious, I’ve never been disappointed with the quality and it’s nice to see the dumplings being made fresh in front of you.
