Review Denny's - Richmond

The only reason I’m giving this a two star review is because the service was very good. Our server was amazing, friendly, and helpful. The hostess was also very friendly. The food on the other hand was subpar at the very best. The pancakes tasted and had a texture kind of between old tire rubber and cardboard. The French toast was overcooked and the crusts were not edible. The best part of the meal was the chunky potato hash browns. The bathrooms were disgusting. They have not been properly cleaned for a very long time. So so so so so gross.

Came here for the birthday meal and super slam promotion. Free refills on the coffee was very good value as well, but it was pretty watered down. Food tasted decent but the place seemed dirty. Floor wasn’t sweeped even once and cleanliness didn’t seem to be their strong point. The servers also didn’t seem to care much about their jobs. The two stars are purely only for the food and value of it.

The food is awesome here, what they serve is quality and the behaviour of staff's are really nice. They're very helpful and cooperative. I went for dinner, when denny's was about to close, but then still the staffs managed me a good dinner for 3 people. That's the best part.

Pretty standard breakfast. I ordered the philly cheese steak, it does not look as appetizing as the picture in their menu. I just ate the toast and took home the rest of the food. Our server is very friendly. Parking is free.

Simple customized Grand Slam breakfast $12.59 - Service was a bit slow. The hashbrown was a little soggy and the bacon was chewy. Overall, it was just OK.

It was my first time at this Denny’s. The place looked new or nicely updated inside. The staff were welcoming and kind. Our server Agnes was very efficient and accommodating.

Came here on our way back to Edmonton. We were seated at Table#52, Check 60 for Jan.1,2022. Me and my 3 kids were seated in the back corner of the restaurant. It was not a busy day. Took 10 minutes for someone to take drink orders. Left before we can order food as we already knew what we wanted. She came back with drinks after seving every other table. 12:05 and our food still hasnt arrived. Staff nowhere to be found. Had to speak sternly to staff to get my point across that we have been waiting for almost 45 minutes for our food. An employee comes out and tells me that they were supposed to be closed today. I told her if it was such a bother to serve people since they were supposed to be closed, then they should have told us we would go somewhere else. Our original server comes out and apoligizes. Offered to take care of our meal. I told her I dont want a free meal or a discount. I just want my hungry kids fed. Food comes out after another 10 mins...and of course my meal is cold. Called server back, asked her to microwave it...Comes back out after another 10 minutes. Overall very poor service. To top that off the restaurant was freezing too. I dont blame our server but I do blame the Manager for poor scheduling and the seemingly salty kitchen staff. I asked for my food to be microwaved, takes less than 5 mins, food comes out after 10 mins "fresh". Poorly run restaurant. Im paying my bill in full and never coming here again. Server offered to cover my bill again and I said no. She gave me a less than $5 discount on my bill. I dont want freebies I just wanted to be treated like the paying customer that I am. But funny how the table that sat down behind us, an all white family, got service in 5 minutes. Guess an Asian man with 3 hungry kids is not a priority eh Denny's?

Came over the weekend and was served by a waitress named Alisha. She has to be the most polite waitress I've had at this and any other location. Very knowledgeable about the menu and was always at our table topping up our coffee, very diligent. The food was great too! It was brought out in a timely manner. Can't wait to visit again with my coworkers.

Service from the kitchen was bad Sunday morning from 10:00 till 11:00 am. 50 minutes wait to get a cold American slam breakfast and the poached egg meal. It was ALL cold...not warm at all. The plates were slightly warm....we sent both meals .back and waited another 15 minutes......This time on the American Slam, the sausage and bacon were cold ....not cool...cold...grease had solidified. The hash browns were barely warm...the scrambled eggs were warm...The other meal, a poached egg on English muffin, had warm potatoes bit the rest was not warm at all...... I've eaten at Dennys all over BC for 25 years while I was working ( not for last 7 years) and I have never experienced such a bad meal. The waitress was good...I felt bad for her....but the preparation in the kitchen was far below the standards of Dennys and the Sandman Corp.

It was lazy wait staff, none of the 3 meals ordered came out together and one of the completely cold and when asked to have that meal removed from the bill, the meal was taken away, the bill was brought with the meal still on it and then given to the person who refused to eat a cold meal. The only decent staff were the manager and the waiter who didn't serve us.

The food was ok and our waitress was pleasant but that was it. When we arrived there were about 10 people that were waiting. And NOBODY had even bothered to get their names for at least 5 minutes. When we finally got a table I noticed that probably 20% of the tables were not cleared. The floors were in pretty rough shape. During our lunch nobody was at the front seating or greeting customers. At one point a disgruntled customer asked pretty loudly “Is anybody here to help us”? Obviously the place was short staffed but that does not give you an excuse to ignore the lineup.

We did not have a long wait to get to our table and our food and drink orders were put in immediately... but it was over an hour before we were eating.. Hire more staff for future "busy" times

Food is great and the service is good. We just waited for about 10 minutes before we were seated because people were paying at the reception desk. Good thing we really enjoyed going to Denny's so much because of their breakfast meal.

excellent food at time vey good coffee ☕️ We got french Toast with 🍳 🥓 And a Omelette so delicious, good experience

My most recent visit at Dennis restaurant for breakfast and Dinner specifically near Sandman Signature Vancouver was well enjoyed. The food was as I expected and the waitress was so friendly and the service was excellent.

Yup ! I've been there and the food was excellent.

Was at the one at the Sandman Sighnature let's just say we won't go back.Had to wait to get seat,host could see that I had trouble walking yet sat us in the farest seat from the door,yes there were seats closer.When the food came my scrabble eggs looked like a a omelette that had been chopped up,and my husbands hashbrowns were burnt.

Service is good! Food is good! Waitress is very friendly and always have smile on her face�
