Review Cafe Savoureux - Richmond

Good coffee, yummy tiramisu, but didn't like the cheesecake, it tasted more like mousse cake. Great location and good place to chill & chat with friends

I like the atmosphere here, cozy little cafe. Coffee is pretty good and cake are decent! Would love to try their sandwich next time!

The décor and ambience of this little coffee shop is very welcoming. The staff are also very friendly. The coffee was quite good, and the cake was very nicely presented but was a bit lacking in flavour and texture. Would definitely go again to enjoy some coffee and chat with friends, but probably won't order cake next time.

Decent coffee. Cake available. Average/Below average cakes. Decorated interior. Small café, seating capacity of about 20 people. Neighbouring various restaurants and dessert shops. Free plaza parking. Close to Canada Line Aberdeen Station. Accepts debit, and cash.

A cute little shop serving up tea, coffee and cakes. They have a tea/coffee and cake combo, which is great value. Good selection of tea and coffee.

One of the best coffee tea houses. In Richmond no less. Real gem of a find. Cosy. Quiet. Gentle music in the background. Auspicious ambiance. Impeccable table service.

Every time I come here, the atmosphere is great - cozy space, clean, and cute decorations. I love the bone china that they serve their hot coffee in. Their coffee selections are great; my favourites are the Mandeling and the Ethiopia Yirgacheffe. They have their own small roaster and the cafe has a great fresh-roasted coffee scent.
Their service is always thorough and great, which I truly appreciate as someone from the same industry.
I don't know about their cake and where they are from, but if it is from Diplomat Bakery, I am happy with that; they have great cakes. :-)

We came here for dessert and ordered the iced black forest coffee and the chocolate lava cake. We felt the cake was average and should have stuck with regular black coffee. We would not recommend nor come back.

Everybody wanted to hang out when we got back home, most of all H’s mom. We went to Cafe Savoureux, one of her favourite spots in Richmond to relax with a cup of coffee:. We had a piece of the chestnut cake and a blueberry cheesecake. The chestnut cake was average, I wouldn’t go back for it, but the cheesecake was bomb! Would highly recommend. I had it with the Naporitano (an Americano with lemon), which was another first… Not sure if it’s traditionally made that way, but I quite enjoyed it. It reminded me of the time we had espresso and tonic water in Nanaimo. H’s mom had the latte. H had a pourover (not pictured), which he didn’t complain about. Apart from the really great cake, the shop was cozy but not overcrowded on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. I think it does get much busier in the evenings, when the cravings for something sweet kick in.

My wife and I have frequented here several times and we really like the place. There are few coffee shops in Richmond where you can sit and enjoy a nice cup of coffee, or tea, and dessert in a quaint and quiet setting. The place is rather small however, not a lot elbow room. Nonetheless, recommended

Small and cozy. Good service.
They even have the famous Blue mountain coffee here. I was actually surprised to see only a few customers on a Friday night.

Cafe Savoreaux is comfortable and everything is exquisitely designed and presented. The drinks are really good, especially their specialty coffees. The space is very homely and the jazz music is a nice touch. The China plates on the walls are also a good decoration. The cakes are delicious, although I do wonder if they are homemade! I like the antique finishes to the cafe, I can see a lot of effort was put into decorating the cafe.

Although Richmond is often known for it’s cheap Asian cuisine, there are pockets of places that provide a unique experience you never would’ve known you could get. One that I have passed by several times is Cafe Savoureux. For whatever reason, I’m never really fully prepared for coffee and dessert when I’m in the area – I’m normally coming from a large meal. But since I was tasked by Tourism Richmond to sum up some great places to grab a cup of coffee in Richmond, I felt it was high time that I visited this place.

Online Review. During my visit, I ordered a green tea and red bean cake which was really light but a little too sweet for me. The blue mountain siphon coffee had a sour aftertaste to it. I really like how the design is like a little antique shop.

I like this place! Very finely roasted coffee and they even have some of those real high end beans like Jamaican Blue Mountain and the infamous Kopi Luwak which is coffee beans harvested from the excrement of an Indonesian Civet Cat. I wonder who was the first to think to try poo coffee? The coffee and tea service is exquisitely served on fine English Bone China and the place has a great atmosphere. Nice place to take a date or just chill with a good cup of joe!

New female owner and cakes are from diploma bakery shop. I saw the owner just buy triple chocolate and cappuccino cakes from diploma bakery shop in Richmond and sold them in Cafe Savoureux shop....but they still put "homemade dessert" sign in front of their display fridge.......what a lie.....

Coffee is not an afternoon thing!. I was looking forward to stopping in at Cafe Savoureux for an AM coffee fix and something sweet when my wife and I had to go to the border crossing to take care of some immigration business. We wanted something different to firing up our Italian-made espresso machine. But when we rolled up at 10 a.m., we discovered Savoureux does not open until 1 p.m.! That is not very French. I just cannot understand the Richmond vibe. Is it an Asian thing, to have coffee and dessert in the afternoon and evening? Je ne suis pas heureux avec Savoureux.

Good Coffee. This is a nice, quiet place in Richmond with an antique-ish feel to it. Warm atmosphere for you to enjoy some good coffee. When watching them make my coffee and when I actually taste my coffee, I can tell that it is professionally done and with heart. I've tried their blue mountain blend and it is very aromatic and tasty -- even without cream/milk. I've also tried some of their desserts which were quite delicious -- chocolate mousse and panna cota.

It is a small place but the atmosphere is good and the coffee is great. It's not a place for people talking loudly. The cookies are tasty too

... not acidic as requested (I asked the manager for non-acidic coffee recommendations and this and the House Blend were suggested); a decent coffee on its own actually, but I made the mistake of adding cream to it...

I've been craving an iced coffe-type drink for a while, so I ordered an iced caramel latte: This was absolutely delicious! It was just sweet enough with a slight hint of caramel, but still had the light coffee taste that I craved. If you like lattes, I'm sure you'd love this. My dessert date got the caramel pudding smoothie : Ohmygosh this was sooo yummy! Apparently it tasted like a slushy japanese pudding or like the creme caramel that I got: So. Damn. Smooth. It wa

I got the special of the day which was any cheesecake + a cup of syphon style coffee for $9.50. For the cake options they had Tiramisu, Earl Grey Cheesecake, Mango Cheesecake and Chocolate Cheesecake. I got the Earl Grey Cheesecake and I ordered a cup of Kenya AA Coffee. On the description for Kenya AA Coffee, it says all coffee lovers will love this so that`s why I chose it. The Earl Grey Cheesecake was super unique and delicious. I never tried anything like it before and I enjoyed it a lot. The description for the coffee was right..It was super delicious! I couldn`t stop drinking it and limmerZ actually wanted a sip but I was enjoying it way too much that I didn`t even save him any LOL

As you step in the restaurant, the aroma of coffee will surround you and the small coffee shop has an antique feeling to it

Cafe Savoureux is in the same strip mall as Best Bubble Cafe , Bubble World , and What8ver Cafe . However, it is very different in nature as it is an actual coffee house and not a bubble tea place. I passed by last time with Shamu and Mich and the sign out front featuring civet coffee peaked my interest, so I suggested this place to meet up with Dodo and Py. For those of you who don't know, civet coffee is renowned as the most expensive coffee in the world. The coffee beans are fed to an animal called a civet and are then harvested from its feces. That doesn't sound very appetizing, but supposedly the enzymes from the civet's digestive tract decreases the bitterness and creates a delightful aroma. We didn't end up trying this because we weren't prepared for the price tag: $60 for 4 consecutive presses (with 2 complimentary desserts based on the current promotion). It's actually not too bad if the three of us split the cost as sharing is allowed; perhaps we'll give it a try next time. T

Cafe Savoureux is located in Richmond on Capstan Way near all those other bubble tea and dessert restaurants. After having Cruzpresso’s Bday dinner at Dinesty, we headed over to this place for some coffee. This place is known for their coffee and has a variety of different types. If you’re not a coffee drinker, they have teas, slushies, and desserts. The interior is cute and has very ornate plates and teacups on the walls. They even have Kopi Luwak for $60! Kopi Luwak is coffee made from the beans of coffee berries eaten and excreted by civets. I’ve only heard about this on the news, but apparently its very good coffee. Another coffee specialty is the Syphon Style Coffee. It gives you a clean pristine cup of coffee. A few of us ordered the coffee and they said it was really good! Earl Grey Tea ($5.95) comes in a cute pot and tiny tea cup. The candle underneath keeps it warm. Floating Coffee ($4.95) has iced coffee with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. M didn’t particularly like th
