The food was delicious the selection on the menu was great and the prices were equally great especially for the level of food one receives. The only comment I would make is the waitress could have came back to our table to take the our finished dishes away after it finished eating.
Nothing more unpleasant than sitting enjoying the taste of the food we just finished eating looking at dirty plates.
But this restaurant is definitely worthwhile checking out if you really enjoy Afghani food

Food was great. We ordered the couples dish/entree and it was more than enough food for 2 people. Food all tasted great and the service was great too. We did go when it wasn’t too busy. Only thing I would say about the food is the naan wasn’t fresh. Everything else was great. Seating and ambiance were great too.

Ordered a couple combo and food was amazing. They were definitely small portions but perfect for us. The spices were very well balanced such that we can enjoy and taste the food. The meat was tasteful and delicious. Also we really enjoyed the milk tea. Will visit again.

This is my first time having dinner there. I had the vegetarian combo and it was really good. 👌 My friend had Bolani, Tekka Combo, Fereney and she loved all. The Chai Sabz and Sheer Chai were really good.

Video review on youtube: vancity food crew afghan chopan bakery & diner<br/>.<br/>I tried this place with a few friends. I got a mixed kebab plate, the beef, chicken, and shami were solid. So was the afghan rice with carrots and raisins. The salad was boring and the regular naan was too dry. Make sure to upgrade your naan to garlic naan instead. I would come back for a lunch special, as they seem to be good value.

The quality of food is amazing for the price. They serve the best chutney I have ever had. Last time I went there, I ordered the lamb and it was cooked to perfection! It was so tender and so full of exotic flavors. The service was so exceptional that my sister wants to replace me as her maid of honor with the gentle and humble Afghani lady. I can't blame her.

Little Gem. In an era of "box store" restaurants, Afghan Chopan comes along and delivers wonderful tasting, healthy food at excellent prices. I eat there 2 times per week, and I'm happy to support local business and the wonderful owner of this restaurant. <br/><br/>I compare this place to the little gym that doesn't look like Steve Nash fitness on the outside, but has the best boxing coach in the country on the inside. You don't need to hit a patio at Cactus and order sleeves of Ricards and substandard food with more focus on presentation than quality and quantity. Eat at Afghan Chopan then go to a pub afterwards !

Great food!!! Absolutely delicious. <br/>Doesn't accept Entertainment Book coupon though. When I asked why not they said because their prices are lower than the Surrey location already (um, okay...). Got home and compared menus between Richmond and Surrey. And Richmond offers less food in the combo so the price adjustment makes sense but not accepting the coupon still doesn't make sense.

Excellent, totally satisfying meal. Complexly spiced meat kabobs, perfect rice laced with raisins and carrot. I can't wait to try more types of their kabobs- the meat was heavenly. Really nice flat-style bread (& lots of it). 2 chutneys that were delicious, one spicy, one cooling. The daily side dish that comes with the combo was a creamy, tomato braised eggplant with thick, minted yogurt sauce drizzled over. I could have eaten endless orders of that and been very happy. Lovely, kind, attentive service. Almost no ambiance, but the food definitely made up for it. Will return for sure. So reasonable- 2 mains for $20!!

Family meal is a great dinner. Succulent, delicious chunks of meat, saucy vegetable side dish, crips fresh salad and flavourful basmati with yogurt and creamy green spicy herb sauce along with sangak style flat bread..feeds four big eaters with some leftovers. Nice hearty meal with middle eastern spices.

Very tasty introduction to Afghan cuisine at a reasonable price! Only qualm is that the portions could be a bit larger and that there aren’t really seats there (not to worry, Richmond Centre’s food court is a stone’s throw away)
